    To my surprise, when I opened up the case and took out the motherboard, I was amazed at its condition. The MSI 645E Max-U motherboard looked almost brand new! It was by far the cleanest motherboard I had ever come across in my flea market adventures.

    Nice find man! I have an MSI 645E Max-C, but I don't understand the differences between mine and this "U" version. They seems very similar with 645DX chipset and AGP universal too.

      I got a PC with that same MSI 645E Max-U board for 20€ from a thrift shop back in 2011. I think it's the only desktop I've bought from a thrift shop, it's rare to see PCs anymore and they are often overpriced. Though in 2016 I found an Asus CUSL2-C and Epox EP-6VBA boards for 1€ each

    I thought I was the only one that had a thing for retro computers 😂. This one’s a bit old for me though . Trying to sell a core two quad . No buyers lol

      You are not :) Quad core is "New". You can still use it for daily usage with SSD.

      @@VintageBoardExplorer yes new in inverted commas lol . I managed to get 8gb of ddr2 and with an Ssd it ran well running windows 10 . Also played some retro games . It’s actually in a nice retro compaq case . Upgrading to a ryzen 5 so it’s proper sleeper pc
