Beef is big business in the Kimberley in Western Australia. But the business model of sending Australian cattle overseas via live export has been plagued by controversy.
Building a local abattoir was supposed to help solve the industry's problems, with the capacity to process animals onshore instead.
But now the abattoir has gone bust and footage has emerged of animal waste dumped at the property.
