Jimmer you never need to apologize for not talking a lot during your stint. Be safe and do your best bro
This, i still remember Jimmy's early vids where he was trying get himself to talk while on the sim and seeing how far hes come is wild, hes driving abilities got us hooked on the channel and theyll keep us on the channel
I'd prefer he focused fully and didnt talk at all. I know hes a youtuber and wants to thank us for helping him achieve his dreams but Jimmy PLEASE. You've made it, now go make us proud and win everything. And if that means we dont get commentary during the races so be it.
He is a racer now, so racing instead of talking kinda is also his job at that time, and we're only here to watch, so no apologies needed for that
On top of that I think I would be more annoyed if he crashed the car or ruined the race because he was too busy talking
Yep, aviate, navigate, communicate
Exactly he's there to race not do a RUclips vlog
I feel like if a night stint at the Nürburgring ISN'T terrifying, then you might not be able to feel fear at all
Agreed.
Kevin Estre just disabled fear.
or we just have different minds with different talents and difficulities. me for an example, im not at all afraid of going 200kph+ in the middle of the night on roads similar to the nordschleife. i am however deathly afraid of public speaking and being in the spotlight. i feel like fear is often directly corolated with how in control we feel in a certan situation wich basically means that i have a skill issue in bublic speaking haha.
@@tozkal96 alright lad, what kind of roads (british B roads, German Landstraßen, etc.) are you fearlessly driving >200kmh on and what car are you using?
Take it to a race track ffs
That's what makes it courageous, being scared shitless but doing it any way. That has got to be the biggest leap between sim-racing and the real deal; going fast when a mistake means a wreck almost certainly, and possibly getting injured. My hat is off to Jimmer, and all of them!
''This was scary and i needed to just focus on driving'' big respect lad
and breathing
breathing in exhaust is extremely dangerous. in nascar this was an issue back in the 90s at martinsville. and some health problems started popping up later on. that car should have been looked at further, especially if people are feeling light headed.
Yess!! All the sessions they had so far they complained about the exhaust fumes, it needs to be contained somehow, this is not ok :(
It may not have been clear in this vid but they fixed it after the first race. They welded those suckers shut. I think it was plugs from removed O2 sensors that vibrated themselves out. Idk, I'm not a racecar guy so I kinda get it but also don't get how that could possibly vent straight into the cockpit.
Honestly you should sub to both Misha and Steve (SuperGT). This vid was well worth the wait, but it was quite the wait in comparison. And each have their own style that very much makes every vid on this IRL racing stuff worth watching. It's really a great trifecta haha. The social media Dream Team.
They don’t call carbon monoxide the silent killer for nothing. Pretty silly to let them continue without trying to fix the issue.
-tody on medium gear what happens when we taste exhoost fume
k ill have a wiff
ery nice
-no jeremiah, car gad bas for helf.
-Shut mouth hammock
-Hammood u can hav the rest of the exhoost foomes as I can no longer inhalem them
18:07 you finally got Steve to break by just letting him do something weirdly aggressive with a banana. Top work
I laughed way hard that. Awkward eye contact. Perfect
The pitcrew doesn't get nearly enough credit for what they do. Incredible work keeping the car going!
I honestly believe that as long as the car and the tyres play along, you guys have a really good chance at taking the class win at the big one. Each and every one of you is incredible and I believe I speak for everyone when I say thank you for taking us along for the ride
If they don't keep inhaling exhaust and being light headed, this should really be addressed I think
I'm blown away by the guts and the skill on display, Jimmy. Self-deprecation might be part of your usual presentation, often hilariously, but never sell yourself short. You're not a sim racing youtuber dabbling with real driving, you're the real friggin' deal these days. You've kept it real and honest from the very beginning and that's why folks from all walks of life love your content and YOU.
When the mechanics start shouting at each other in german and run around in a frenzy its a good time to NOT fuck around, lol
Gonna do a shot every time Jimmy lunges Kevin Estre
I love how at 19:57 you can hear the Glickenhaus' exhaust popping over the sound of your own engine
Driving around the Nurburgring in the daytime is scary. I can only imagine how it must feel in the night. With all the blinding lights around you. And with a distinct smell of engine fumes coming into the car. So once again, thanks for letting us into this world with you, for taking us along for this epic journey
steve matching manny's lap is amazing
to me Manny matching Super Steve GTs lap is amazing 💪
If it was scary, it means you were doing something right!
18:40 “I wasn’t drinking just inhaling some bad stuff” oh yeah I forgot they legalised it
good stuff 😁
"Oh we're going fast today boiz" 😆You really captured the intensity and speed of the event with this. Excellent job Jimmy and editor chan.
You've already had at least two punctures in this new amazing car. I certainly hope it's not a tyre construction issue, cause in the upcoming 24H race you can't 'afford' any punctures, specially not on a 25 km track, there's a very long and dangerous way back to the pits on a flat tyre!! I wish you all the best of luck - and skills, cleverness, strategic thinking - and more luck - in the toughest 24H race on this planet! I hope you got those headlights sorted, your high beam didn't seem to work or the headlights were set much too low. No wonder you were scared, you had max 40 m of light on the track ahead of you!! Maybe practice night mode on your sim 😉💪🤞
And the exhaust being a problem in all sessions so far is also super worrying
@@mightyakkylex That problem has been solved and won't come back 🙂
10:14
the cuts and transitions with that music is just too good.
i think Misha and Jimmy are competing in production value as much as they're competing on the track
Bloody hell Jimmy, those graphics are outstanding!
280 is kinda nuts... SP9 drivers have been talking about GT4s passing them on the straight for a while now, but oof...
Well done mate! that leaking exhaust is genuinely scary though, so many things can impair judgement without you realising.
Night driving in endurance races, especially at this level, is what separates the pros from the rest. The less experienced and amateurs slow down a little, whilst the pros enjoy the extra power and aero from the low temperatures and denser air and set their fastest times at 3am.
Thank you editor for the flipped rear view cam! That's much less terrifying than the previous videos!!!
I live in a really rural part of the UK and all the roads where I am are fast unlit A roads for 30+ mile radius. Driving on them at night is mega intense as you cannot see any of the corners properly, I can only imagine how scary driving the ring at night is with the GT3s coming up crazy fast.
Shout out to the editor just killing it!
Thank you! 😊
Massive massive respect jimmy, haven’t been following from day one but been following for about a year but have watched a lot of your older videos. Absolutely insane how far it’s come, ik I get scared driving at night in acc on the sim can’t even begin to imagine it irl. Massive respect stay safe out there
I AM SO PROUD OF JIMMER
According to many interviews with many experienced drivers: one must never lose the respect for this track.
Its absolutely wild the amount of talent these lads have, like there are not a lot of people who can start IRL racing and instantly be podium contenders.
Im sure i speak for all of us when i say we dont need Jimmy to speak as much as when he streams. I think its actually better that he goes quiet and focuses instead of talking to us, we're not going anywhere and we all want to see him (and the rest of the team) do their best
And to race on the hardest and most dangerous track in the world. From sim racer to racing the Nurburgring at night is a fucking incredible achievement.
Jimmy is getting a proper taste of endurance racing now. Night driving is the absolute best. And no better place to do it than at the Nurburgring
SuperGt comedy is top tier. Great idea to lead with that. Well done Jimbo.
I know you’ll probably never see this Jimmer but I’m so impressed with just how much you’ve achieved. I still remember you as a shed pleb all those years ago. I feel I should be jealous but I can’t help but smile of all you’ve made for yourself. Well fucking done m’boy.
29:08 is so funny to me with the cut from “jimmy is doing a good job” to “my tires are f*ing dead”
27:31 I love the way the faster BMW behind you chose how to overtake slower traffic
Youre a legend Jimmer!
This is the ultimate dream. The ultimate dream of any sim racer and motorsports fanatic out here. Driving at night on the nordschleife is just something else. Trying to tame your car while the gt3s come from behind with their night high beans on, and no ideea how fast they are going is what racing should mean. I'm sick of all these flat and safe tracks that allow you to fall asleep driving and make mistakes with only loosing time. I will not even say you are lucky because you deserve this, enjoy it.
It's been awesome watching you guys get to this point. Will be watching and cheering for you all from Canada.
What amazes me about you and the team, and I’m sure every car out there, is how incredible you all are at driving through adversity and problems. It seems like every time out something goes wrong and you all are still rapid, it’s super fun to see.
Keep up the good work Jimmy, you’re doing great stuff❤
Its so cool to see this everytime as there is anew upload about the n24. Just is so cool to see, you guys have so much pace good luck jimmy, misha ,Steve and Manny
29:55 that has to be the most nonchalant reaction to finding out you're THAT much faster than the rest of your field.
Hope to see you & Steve driving more best of luck lads!!!! Bilstein ya better let these lads get behind the wheel more often!
Never thought Id see you guys doing THIS when I subbed to your channel! Thanks for taking us all along for the ride.
This was great. I think you developed a lot of skill and confidence by driving at night as well as emotional intelligence to things going south by having situations not go as planned. This will help your cognitive state as you progress through more intense scenarios, here after. Big win, lads!
I'm loving seeing your progress and the way you have taken to such a demanding sport but I think it's high time you make a video dedicated to your girlfriend. She's always there supporting you and bigging you up and I'd really like to see a video dedicated to her, she seems to have been a rock for you and she deserves some recognition. I'd kill to have someone like her in my corner, such as her, You're a lucky man.
Darn it Steve! When they said NAIL IT! This was not what they meant! 🤣
Good job boys! Ya'll are mental! 🤪
I remember reading a Autocar article (I think it might have been written by Chris Harris) about running a Caterham at the N24. That brilliantly captured racing at the N'ring at night and I feel this video brings the same energy. Fantastic madness.
You are an amazing man, Mr. Jimmer. Living the dream life. Stay positive, always.
Immense respect for you and the whole team for doing this, let alone at this level. 👍
Being German, watching this is even better, since you can understand the Mechanics in be background :P
Also, so proud of what Jimmer has achieved!! God damn 24H of Le Mans!
That was def scary and the way you handled like a pro awesome! Go Jimmy go!!!
Those Hyundai TCR cars really put up a challenge in the early stages.
Ikr???? They were super fast
Awesome stuff Jimmy!
Jimmy Broadbent is my hero
Only 4 weeks 'til the big weekend! All aboard the hype train!!
Mate i was so exited as i saw the notification
Thank u jimmer🎉🎉
It's enough to take on doing your first night stint, but battling CO-toxicity on top of that is mental. No wonder you looked so wiped out when you got back! Well done to the whole team, you all looked like pros out there!
They really need to fix that exhaust fume issue, it shouldn't happen honeslty
@@mightyakkylex at least they tracked down the cause (the O2 seensor). Not sure why that needed to be in the cabin and not the engine bay, though.
@@gerryjamesedwards1227 So, the sensor isn't actually in the cabin, it's usually right around the bottom of the exhaust downpipe/end of the headers (turbo/naturally aspirated respectively). Any exhaust that comes out under the car instead of outside of the air envelope in the car is likely to leak some fumes through any other small openings for electronics/cables/etc.
Turbocharged vehicles can get exhaust gas temperatures that are well in excess of 1000 degrees Celsius, so the O2 sensors are placed a bit further down the line where the gasses have been able to cool, at least a small amount, before crossing the sensor. That said, obviously the gasses were still pretty hot since it managed to discolor the paint inside the car from fumes blowing on it on the outside of the cabin.
@@projektdotnet thanks, that makes more sense. I thought the O2 sensor was the box in front of the discoloured paint.
what a team damn ! u guys the drivers , but also those in the pits ! i just love to see this as a racing enthousiast . keep up the great progress gyys
Love ur vids Jimbo slice. Keep at it. And the racing too. Thats also pretty cool
You're an absolute monster, sir! I was sweating just watching it.
Awesome stuff Jimmer hopefully they live stream!
Thanks for the vid, Jimmer! You still deliver something very much worth watching compared to the others but I gotta say though it'd be nice to have some kind of narrative talking us through. Lots of people who didn't watch the races or didn't watch the other vids are confused. And it was hectic so I don't blame you, but a few words here and there might have sufficed (just don't outsource it to Netflix lol).
No hate! I'll be watching the N24 whether you have your own stream or not, and will of course be pulling for you and Black Falcon. Just trying to give a little feedback. Last time I said something about production value Misha kinda... well, it didn't hurt. (Oh and also he's gone now so if there was ever a time to catch up it's now.)
Your going to love racing at night in the rain its absolutely brutal. I remember in 2018 almost having to feel for the curbs to know where I was going up Kesselchen because the lights on the BMW e36 m3 I was driving were pointing all over the track due to an earlier crash and the fog was rolling in, properly petrifying!! Engine made good power though :)
Give us a wave if you see us in our wee R* Games e90 325i as you blast past in the 24 hour (assuming I can fix our engine in time) It's cool to have fellow games related guys in the race, we just need to get Kaz back involved!
Also good luck, I'm really excited for you to experience the 24 it's like nothing else, oh and beware its incredibly addictive!!
Ben
Mate, I don't know you. I have no real connection to you. However, you have no idea how unimaginably motivating it is, to see you evolve. As a RUclipsr, as a driver and as a human. I am very happy and very proud, of what you accomplished. Well done. I hope I'll get to see you racing in real life, sometime someplace! Keep it up!
This would scare anyone 😮 this is unbelievable, amazing work from the team so far ❤
Good to know surely that there is pace to be driving with a certain degree of reserve to be able to cover off a lot of the unexpected. All the best in prep for the 24!
Amazing driving there Jimmie, amazing!
Just wow, how cool is all this Jimmy... Keep it up
Good job, looking forward to seeing you guys in the 24h race, you'll do great
The whole team is so impressive!
You all are definitely at the sharp end of the GT4 field. Taking this in stride and not stuffing the car is how you endurance race. Good luck and Ill be cheering for Bilstein (and that scg car). Lets f****** go!!!
Two words to sum up this video. Fucking awesome.
Incredible driving and bollocks of weapons grade plutonium. The night stint scared the shit out of me and I’m just watching. How you managed to drive so fast whilst effectively blind was fantastic. I’m not one for hyperbole but that was hyperbollock or hyperbolc, whichever is right.
Looking forward to the 24hr race, always watch as much as possible when it's on. Will cheer for you guys all the way from Australia!
Great job brother, y'all absolutely killed it!
This was an incredible video and weekend by the looks of it!
16:20 made me scared just watching. Can't begin to imagine that in real life. Well done sir!
This has to be the best VR setup i have ever seen
Just like the simulations, eh Jimmy? Congrats to you man, you've come so far!
we're all rooting for ya! Go get em king!
Jimmer going full beast mode
It still hits me sometimes how crazy it is to see the intro of the video and you;'re in a real car and it's all actually real 😁
can we take a moment and give a MASSIVE BIG SHOUTOUT TO THE MECHANICS?!!?! Great TEAM! AMAZING AND NICE TO SEE, GREAT DRIVING!
I love how you said 'I'm scared of that corner' right at the corner I crashed a week ago😂😂😂
You guys did awesome. Don't beat yourselves up over the puncture. You guys made a hell of a come back!
These punctures are becoming a common occurrence....
Jimmy we're rooting for all of you!
"Oof, we're going fast today boys!" lol
We all got ur back mate! Baby steps bruz u got ballz o' steel!
nah this looks absolutely terrifying, fair play.
😮 Wow, how scary is that in the dark. Had my heart in my mouth. Steve had cars just appearing in front of him! Dangeroos.
Just amazing Jimmer, by all of you, incredible progress. And wow what a push stint that was
That car really putting you through it with all the exhaust issues!
3:10 is a quick 1x lol
bro, this is spectacular.
from watching u play sims doing the nring to actually doing it, fuckin wild man
mad respect bro
That looks super spooky
Storing booster seats high up is hilarious
Jimmy, respect, that was a good performance.
I'll see you there Jimmers! Be cool to meet ya! Didn't think you'd actually be going to this! I'm so excited to root for your team mate.
Amazing!! Gonna be there at the 24hrs for support!
That is SO FKIN SICK MATE!
Excellent video Jimmy, thanks for capturing so much!
This isn't a diss on Misha or anything but it seems like he makes a few more mistakes under a competitive environment compared to JB or SB.
Dacia Logan doing it's thing and getting in the way, but it makes N24.
ANOTHER UPLOAD FROM JIMMERSSS
