I have seen this video a few times and now that I tried to think that I would actually drive and react to the situations in the video, I calculated that I would have bumped into something 29 times.. Greetings from Finland.
Peter is the out-right lap record holder, and is the only man so far to break the 135mph barrier. The BMW sp4 is not eligible to race at the TT, it's too high tec. TT bikes must be based on road legal bikes, that's why they were only demonstration laps. He was actually taking it easy on this lap, it's a full 2 minutes slower than his lap record. If you want to see an onboard of that lap, type in "Peter Hickman, last lap, 2018 Senior TT".
As a biker of over 45 years I will give you some advice...... When you pass your test (assuming you have a test where you live) don't make the mistake of getting a powerful bike straight away, you won't live more than a couple of days. I started with a 50cc bike, then a 70cc, a 125cc, a 250cc, a 750cc, a 1000cc and then a 1200cc. I've never had an accident. And don't make the mistake that many dead bikers have done and treat it like a toy for satisfying ones adrenaline. The moment you disrespect the bike it will kill you.
Peter Hickman set the outright lap record at 135.452 mph, and Dean Harrison set the outright lap record at 134.432 mph for the TT Superbike.
The record for the fastest bike speed on the Isle of Man (not the TT) is an incredible 133.962 mph, set by John McGuinness in 2009
nice reaction top speed over 200 miles per hour
