TBH, blame Shinmiri for the Compass change. He strongly campaigned for it on-stream and via Reddit. Kinda lost faith in the BC if highly regarded players like Shin are coming up with some of the nonsense changes like we've seen thus far.
Yep, it was Shin using his influence. I have no idea why because he's a clever player. He doesn't need this toxicity. It's easy to get around with a high mill deck, 😊though.

People that (for some reason) wants to argue that this deck isn't strong. Keep in mind that Truzky won multiple games in Pro Ladder using a Golden Nekker Pirate deck with 20+ Spare Provisions (Up to 25 iirc)... 20+. SPARE. PROVISIONS. Even though he's a very skilled pro player, a deck with 20+ Provisions to Spare shouldn't function or wins any game in pro ladder. Period
Compass shouldn't have been buffed back to GN range, it should be reverted back to 10 provitions. The other changes you suggested to NG, on the other hand, seem unreasonable. Torres is fine at 3 points, could go down 2 power imo, it's that strong. Jan calveit at 7 points is also fine. Slave Driver could go up by one power, but that is because of the nerf to the NG soldiers, but I'm not sure if it's an urgent case since there are many other cards that haven't seen play in ages and are in need of a boost. Melitele is fine at 3 power, I never thought it was OP. Saskia nerf is okay, I guess. With sigvald I agree with you, the card didn't deserve a nerf just because it was ran in a meta deck. Double Cross is totally fine at 15 provitions, especially after the buff to the assimmilate cards. Vilgefortz nerf seemed unneccesary, especially after the previous nerf to the card, so it could be buffed. Joachim is just fine as it is. I believe there are NG cards that haven't seen play much if not at all, and more spefically haven't been seen play at the top level for a long time. For instance: Rainfarn of Attre, Shilard, Isbel, NG witcher trio, urcheon, Viper witcher. + I don't understand why thirsty dame was nerfed 6 provitions, Fleder and Messenger of the sea are overall stronger than that. Edit: also Warrit and Sweers are possible buff-targets.

Yet somehow people tend to see them as pro players and follows their advice. no ide ahow to balance game, yet just want to buff their favorite cards so they can play their favorite decks and win. if deck is hard to beat for them, that means its too strong and needs nerf
Skellige and Syndicate are starting to grow on me again. Spent a few hours yesterday building decks from those 2 factions. Decks with a lot of momentum I must say. 😅
I gonna be honest its incredible how people were complaining about NG and all its oppresive decks (I was one of them but i just choosed to nerf edna and rosa power), but those people who voted for nerf NG and voted for this change, now we have a literally GN decks, GN muta spam citrian NR which is a cancer, GN Compas SK Which has a lot of variations and has a God Tier Thinning, but damn even ST and SY has GN decks what are performing really well, NG doesnt have a good one with all the nerfs what recieved now it doesnt have a unit that can punish big, tall or defender units, now it only has the spell of killing the highest unit, im voting for reverting Vilgeforst and some other NG nerfs why? We need a Monster to Kill other or at least have something what can hold it, sometimes i think that the devs used to have NG as a faction that can holds or make it stop some stupid meta-vomit decks that are really a threat (For me that is a reason what they give it NG so power in this last couple of Months), Scounts and onagers need to be grounded and compass soon it wil be grounded too, i am taking my votes this time to try to revert some of this overreacted and hateful nerfs including SY vice, that archetype got the same threat as NG, getting overhated by meta slaves and people who really know how to abuse this kind of deck. ✌🏼
When I saw the melitele battle I thought you meant you were 3 cards down and won! Glad it wasn't like that cause that would had been insane! But damn that was a terrible melitele player 😂 or maybe I just play it too much.. They should buff melitele so when she boost the row she also boost herself and therefor remove a cycle. That would make me very very happy 😂 oh and give her immunity when she is played! If we are making gwent toxic again then let's do it all across the battlefield! 😂👏
No it's not. I really tried to save the game I have even contacted CDPR but it's too late. I give up this was nerfed for a reason and it was a good reason! My only hope is people will use their brain and not play it. The best way might be by not sharing it on RUclips my friend I know why you did it, but most will see it and play it. So maybe it's best to just take this one down... You have given us much other content anyway! 👏

I don't even play i just forfeit right away so either of us gets anything out of it. But that ruins the game for those people with a brain that actually play normal pirates. If I were to guess it's because of 2 things 1. Most players aren't pros and don't play at a high enough lvl to understand how to beat NG. 2. NG has the most toxic archetypes. Aside from locks, stealing your units, and being to replay your golds multiple times. They also have access to annoying decks like cultists, mill, clog, rat spam, and Madoc bombs. Those decks aren't really viable in high lvls of play but in lower lvls where people aren't as good, getting matched by those repeatedly can get annoying.
Playing NG feels like cheating sometimes before these nerfs but they are nowhere as powerful in high mmr. These nerfs are too much and then you see stupid compass buff... Clowns are balancing with their vote now.
