i have loved this man ever since i saw him in 'the 4400'. when he speaks you feel like warm honey is being poured all over your body :-). Hoda promoting her christmas song was cringeworthy and embarrassing, jesus, that was hard to watch!
@@77CreationYou sound guilty, the colonizers never left Africa, just look at what's happening in Sudan, Congo, and Libya. The list goes on in Africa with the history of colonization.
Julia is amazing but Ethan does steal the show and Mahershala is SO intriguing... Great movie! It makes me sad hearing he's been 6"2' since he was 14! My son will be too and I'm trying to teach him people's reaction to him will change as we're black! Just be careful, I'd tell him, remember you're black... But he is so young, 10, he doesn't really knowwhat I mean! 😢
In fairness her character wasn't 'unlikeable' but moreso jaded and fed up with people. She cared for her family and put them first and protected them. 'unlikeable' I didn't get that vibe at all. Very well acted movie.
The interviewer couldn’t dig deeper about the character julia played just because she didn’t play the typical sweetheart. I loved her character she was a fierce protective mother with grit and determination and she was guarded and didn’t trust people but perhaps alot of people aren’t trustworthy!!! Real people aren’t fully likeable fake people are likeable as they don’t show their true self She wasn’t trusting of other as she didn’t live in a delusional fake world that all people are sunshine and rainbows I loved her character she took time to trust and questioned everything
This movie is a warning. If you think things were bad during the pandemic this predicts a future that is a lot worse. The system we live in is very fragile and it would not take much for everything we rely on to collapse. Take out communication, spread mis-information then sit back and watch people turn on each other. It is a recipe for the new type of warfare in the digital age.
Merhershala is the liking of Morgan Freeman... amazing actor. Julia Roberts is amazing as a character that transformed through the movie and Ethan Hawke and Kevin Bacon now you know you have a hot movie.
13 minute interview about a movie. The fact that the Obamas produced it is given a fraction of bandwidth. Meanwhile the only three comments on the video address their association with it and nothing else. No, we don’t have a problem with excessive politicization at all.
Politics is a part of every single person’s life. Everything should be political. Only those who benefit from the status quo get bent out of shape about “politicization”.
@@77Creation Respectfully, you don’t know who I am or what status quo I benefit from so please miss me with that. If your kneejerk response to hearing about a political candidate you dislike being associated with something is to reject it simply based on that without investigating further, that’s not only excessive but dangerous and ignorant. Not saying you, just people in general. I’m not going to stop liking deep dish pepperoni pizza because a politician I disagree with likes it. But people here are literally and proudly stating that they are rejecting the movie out of hand simply because it’s being produced by the Obamas. That’s a problem.
Producers or executive producers are just "money men". They basically help to finance the production of the movie.... so to have a longer dialog about them is unnecessary. Usually producers or executive producers have little to nothing at all to do with the script or the day to day of the movie.
@@meek9423 I understand that. My issue is not that they weren’t talked about more. It’s that the first several comments on this video indicated that some people heard “Obamas” and immediately checked out, apparently without further investigation. Such a stupid movie. True in terms of war agendas, bible prophecy but TERRIBLE ENDING and whole lot of nothing happened. Julia Riberts played a prejudice Karen and the rest were judy blah
Merhershala is such an intelligent, articulate, engaging human. A true role model for us brothers!
Movie is still trash
@@g-dub5272Well, that’s just…like…your opinion, man.
Merhershila Ali, Wesley Snipes & Idris Elba should be in a movie together.
Denzel in there
Didn’t see enough of Kevin Beacon
That’s done on purpose cause Julia is the man in the relationship
He looks like Don Chedle. I love their articulation of topic on the movie's basis.
I thought the same thing.
These two make a great match on screen. Detective thriller with these two would be interesting💐💐

Speak for yourself.
He’s a great actor though.
Writers really struggle to come up with good ideas these days
Leave the world behind has happened in most African countries that are under colonial rules.
It’s 2024, not 1692. Time for Africa to do something about that.

Watched the movie yesterday. I liked it. I thought that it was very suspenseful

I couldn’t stand the daughter
I liked the daughter she was sassy. All teenagers are like this they think they know everything and a deer is ready to knock them out.
Me either. She was mad annoying. She had a ton in common with Julia's character though so their story arc made sense.
Great, humble man!
He is the great model for black man, he shows the strength with his mind not with his fists.
it looks like a good movie!! And the points are made...we humans need each other!!
