Nice job man, got my S6 at the shop for some pretty bad oil & coolant leaks. Will be performing a rebuild (not gonna disassemble block). Gonna replace alternator, starter, steering pump and both oil coolers as a pre-emptive measure
@@nexhati1000 I agreed to pay 4 grand, had to finish the job myself. Would've been 8 grand but they couldn't figure out there was a vacuum leak after they rebuilt it
Just finished this job 20 hrs ..video was big help .. get some long 5-6" torx keys to access ac comp mounts . Mine so close to exh this was only way .. I also cut coolant crossover tube in half and joined with silicone rubber hose to avoid taking alternator side apart .
I also replaced the airco compressor on my 2006 Audi S6 V10 as well. I actually followed the workshop manual and I must say your approach was totally different but successful as well. These cars are nightmares to work on but it pays off😅
Vaya trabajazo!
Amazing job! I'm happy that until now i did not had to dig that deep into my S6 but i'm sure the information in your video will come in handy in the future for me!
dude, nice job, just wondering, how long did that take? i might have to do my s6 5.2 as i've replaced everything except the compressor and i'm still getting hot air. although i might pull the motor and do it at the same time.
Yeah I spent a huge amount of time troubleshooting the AC before just caving and getting a new compressor. VCDS said everything was fine. All in it probably took 10-12 hours but I wasn't entirely positive what had to be removed as I was doing it. Getting the motor mounts back in and bleeding the coolant takes so long

What years your s6 cause are’s is a 08 and it doesn’t have adaptive crusie control
Mine is a 2007. It was an add-on option. I think it was quite expensive so many won't have it
