AEG Favorit 1966 Carico & Lavaggio

- This is the first model of the Favorit type dishwashers made by AEG starting from the 1966 until 1968. In this video it is possible to see how the machine is correctly loaded and then a washing cycle is started. The machine is opened after the first and second prewash to show how the cleaning of the loaded items proceed step by step. The wash cycle that had been set is the longest and it takes 75 minutes to complete. It starts with a first prewash in cold water, then there is “rinsewash” in lukewarm water and then the main wash at 65°C, then during the last minute of the main wash the machine starts a cool down process letting in some cold water then after the wash water is drained there is a first rinse in cold water and then a second rinse at 65°C with the automatic loading of the rinse add. Finished the last rinse in hot water the machine starts the drying cycle for 9 minutes. The Favorit has 6 possible selection on the main selector: numer 1 is the return to zero command to reset the timer or cancel the cycle selection; number 2 is the Normal cycle at 65°C (see above for detailed description); number 3 is the Normal cycle at 50°C (same as number 2 but at lower water temperature); number 4 is the short cycle at 65°C in which there is no prewash and the main wash is shortened of about half the normal wash time, there is no change in the rest of the cycle; number 5 is the short cycle but at 50°C (same as number 4 but at lower water temperature) and number 6 is just a double prewash (the two prewashes of the cycle 2 and 3) used as additional prewash for heavily soiled load or to prewash a partial load that will be left wet in the dishwasher waiting in order to set the complete wash cycle once the machine is completely loaded. As you can see the Favorit cleans beautifully even heavily soiled stuff can be loaded in the machine and there is no need for hand prewash, also the drying cycle is very effective only the very thin plastic items need to be had dried at the end of a complete wash. As usual it is not a quiet machine but as I always say this was not a problem taken into consideration back in the mid 60es of the 20th century but it should be considered today that after 50 years of use the Favorit is still in good working order… I wonder if those “electronic rubbish” you can buy nowadays will last for 50 years and will be still “alive” in the 2070… no way!!! My husband would go mad at the way you have loaded this. He would only put half go that load in. he would run it twice to wash everything. Me, I would do the same as you. Lots of dishwasher wars in our house
Why should I waste my time and money running twice a dishwasher half loaded... instead of wasting those money and time I use them to go out with friends... life's too short to waste both money and time loading the dishwasher twice when there is no need for that... at the end if the machine can wash that load spotless clean it means that THAT load is perfect to be handled by the machine! By the way I always loved to play TETRIS this is why I love loading the dishwasher... it's a race between the machine and I!😈😈😈😈

Mi piace molto il doppio prelavaggio!! La Miele lo ha mantenuto nel programma intenso. ..anche nella serie 6000 ... adesso credo sia scomparso negli ultimi modelli!

@@CandyBimatic I used to have a model very similar to yours, I mean same tub and yeah it had an suspended upper spray arm. The pump was literally a huge beast with an induction motor God knows what the flow rate was!! lol
It was capable of washing basically whatever you could fit inside it! The only downside was the fact that my Favorit took around 1 hour to heat up to 65 and you need at least 2 hours for wash and heated rinse. If my memory serves me right, it would use ~3 kwh for running standard cycle at 65 degrees.
I am sure your Favorite had a problem... usually if connected to cold water (and where I live cold water from the tap is at no more than 7°C) it takes 1h 30 minutes for the 65°C cycle to be completed... if connected to a 45°C water supply it takes about 45 minute for the same 65°C cycle which has double prewash, one main wash, one normal rinse and a final rinse at 65°C followed by a 7 minute active drying... it connected to cold water the overall power consumption is of 2.1Kw if connected to a 45°C water supply is of about 0.9Kw... consider that the 3Kw heater of the favorite takes 12 minute to heat up the 8.5liters of water in the tub from 7°C to the 65°C requested by the cycle... maybe you're machine had a defective or misadjusted water level control so that the machine took longer and more energy than normal to reach the 65°C requested by the cycle...
Molto interessante. Il fatto che faccia due prelavaggi, però, mi fa pensare che i detersivi odierni facciano fatica ad attivarsi, dato che ormai tutto lo sporco è rimosso. A livello di consumi quanta acqua usa, circa 40L?
Dipende da quanto sono sporche le cose che uno ci mette, anche le Miele fanno 2 prelavaggi uno caldo ed uno freddo nei cicli intensivi. In questa macchina puoi inserire i le stoviglie tal quali semplicemente togliendo i residui di grosse dimensioni con una spatola, giusto per far meno fatica a pulire il filtro a fine lavaggio ma anche se ci fossero residui solidi laverebbe lo stesso. Se uno inserisce stoviglie normalmente sporche può anche decidere di saltare un prelavaggio facendo avanzare il timer fino all'inizio del secondo, oppure li può saltare anche entrambi e se poi non vengono caricate pentole basta inserire uno dei cicli brevi che salta automaticamente i prelavaggi e riduce la durata del lavaggio... per lavare i soli piatti e bicchieri di un pranzo normale impiega meno di 30 minuti. Con il ciclo più intenso la macchina utilizza 35 litri di acqua, il ciclo più breve ne utilizza 20.
@@CandyBimatic non ha nemmeno consumi così esagerati per essere di quell'epoca. Gli oggetti più delicati immagino sia impossibile inserirli per via della forza del getto d'acqua, confermi?
Veramente lava anche il cristallo più fine, basta mettere gli oggetti più delicati posizionarli correttamente nel cestello superiore mentre i bicchieri a stelo lungo vanno nel cesto inferiore avendo l'accortezza di posizionarli inclinati in modo da incrociare tra loro gli steli per evitare che si rovescino, poi basta utilizzare un detersivo specifico per stoviglie delicate e cristallo (che in Italia non è facile da trovare ma fortunatamente io abito a due passi dal confine di stato e qui nei negozi sono disponibili prodotti che nell'Italia "interna" non si trovano) e con il programma 5 breve a 55 gradi e nel giro di 18 minuti la cristalleria esce perfetta pulita e asciugata senza aloni. Addirittura volendo solo sciacquare senza asciugare si può impostare il programma 6 che prevede 2 prelavaggi, il primo tiepido a circa 38 gradi ed il secondo freddo mettendo poco detersivo all'inizio, in modo che la macchina esegue un lavaggio veloce da 7 minuti seguito da un risciacquo da 3 minuti. Bicchieri e piatti da dolce escono perfettamente lavati e sgrassati ma in questo caso vanno asciugati a mano. Questo programma è perfetto nel caso di stoviglie con decorazioni che non potrebbero resistere ad un lavaggio prolungato in acqua calda ed alla fase di asciugatura in cui le stoviglie raggiungono i 55 gradi di temperatura nel ciclo delicato normale. E una lavastoviglie molto versatile anche grazie alla possibilità di rimuovere le rastrelliere del cesto inferiore in modo da adattarlo alle più svariate necessità di carico.

proprio come la mia vecchia Telefunken. l unica cosa diversa , a parte il programmatore è che non aveva quelle feritoie sul bordo superiore dello sportello.Curioso tu abbia disposto la mia prima e la mia seconda (la miele g595) affiancate.

Ciao, io ho comprato da poco una casa e il vecchio proprietario mi ha lasciato questa lavastoviglie ancora funzionante ma le guarnizioni sono tutte rotte, per caso saprebbe dove si possono trovare?

Provi in qualche vecchio centro assistenza AEG, si tratta di una lavastoviglie vintage quindi non è facile trovare i pezzi di ricambio.
