A postgraduate story: Anyier Teresa Yuol

UNSW Development Studies student Anyier Teresa Yuol shares her story on coming to Australia and then launching the Miss Sahara Pageant with the aim of supporting and representing women of diversity.
Since then she has been named Blacktown’s Woman of the Year 2018 and has dedicated her life to the empowerment of her people, especially women. This year she launched Miss Sahara Pageant, a beauty pageant for African women, providing role models for girls and encouraging greater representation of her culture in the fashion industry.
