- Behold the best pirate metal band ever! Swashbuckle performing their hit "Cruise Ship Terror" from their album "Back To The Noose" (Nuclear Blast Records, 2009). Filmed at the Medieval stage at Wacken Open Air 2009, Germany, using a Panasonic Lumix TZ7 (or ZS3 as it's called in the US for some weird reason).

this band is so fun, they have alot of production on there album wich makes the live perfomances kinda "not enough" but they totally make up for it with awesome theatrics! i dig these guys a little more than alestorm, dunno why i had to share that opinion but there it is. woot woot!

unbelievable...i thought about dressing like a pirate as scene costume on the stage,but these guys made an entire album on that and always dress as pirate,live and on video...i wonder how they could live their every day life....!!

I rember that gig sittin ther with some germans. Not knowing what was going on there after all we knew it was kind alike a pirate metal concet it was so coool the whole crowed was going crazy.....
The reason for no solo is because if you paid attention to our album trailers you would see that we did not do the solo. Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal did. And we do not plan on getting a 2nd guitarist to do said solo live. All tho there are some older songs where the Commodore still performs the solos.

In the trailers for the albume, they said that all the solo's where done by guest guitarists.

Saw them during Paganfest in holland and I met the singer and the guy in the parrot costume :D They're really nice guys and I love their attitude. All in all they're cool guys always in for a good joke!

@framednoise Thanks for the reply. For some reason with my camera ( ZS7) you can't have both wind cut and iA mode. Funny how on a newer model they give you less options. I guess I'll have to try both and hope for some good results. Thanks for the info.

@RogerSteve1994 The solo was performed by Bumblefoot on the album, so I imagine it's too much of a hassle to play live for Commodore Redrum to play.

have u listened to the song through the video? it doesnt matter by vid but its a trio, u can still hear that guitar riffs when the solo goes but the solo was just something added that they couldnt do cuz it wouldnt sound right

@framednoise from what ive seen of Wacken, all any band does, especially pirate metallers, especially alestorm, is drink the whole time - their bassist never stops! i'll admit it needs more tune - this isnt Swashbuckle's best work, but it's there for a laugh - chill and enjoy
