I'm 28 years old and recently purchased my first high horology piece: an Octo Finissimo in stainless steel monochrome. I adore the watch and I wear it with pride. The Bvlgari brand story really resonated with me and my Octo is now my daily companion. I've wear it everyday as it is meant to be worn. I wear it swimming in the ocean, in the pool, in the shower, in board meetings, out for drinks on weekends with friends, on stage playing guitar with my band, you name it! Some of my friends think I'm nuts for wearing such an expensive watch everyday and putting it through its paces, but that's what the watch is for! It's meant to be worn! And I've already made a lifetime worth of memories with it in just under a year. I love the watch so much I feel like an unofficial brand ambassador wherever I go. Now, I only have desire to purchase Octo Finissimo's. All other watches, as nice as they are, feel outdated and unrefined in comparison. I catch myself smiling at my wrist multiple times throughout the day marveling at my little companion as we make more memories together through the world. I have yet to see another Octo Finissimo on the wrist of someone else in the wild, but I've been spreading the word about the watch to all my friends and passersby's who may be curious. I love love LOVE my Octo Finissimo and it's the best 13k I've ever spent on a (luxury) product. It will last a lifetime and outlive me no doubt and I look forward to one day passing it down to my future children (thinking wayyy into the future as I am still a young, single man haha!) but I know my Octo isn't going anywhere. She'll be there through it all. Thank you Watch Advisor and thank you Bvlgari for making such a wonderful product. It's not all about flexing. It's about the art and how the art speaks to you. Preserve art and pass it down to the next generation. I wish I could thank the watchmakers and designers in person because I truly love my little watch. Mr. Babin, I'd love to meet you and Frabrizio one day just to chat and let you know how much my Octo means to me and to thank you and your team. Best wishes to you all from Houston, TX!

Incredible emotional story, I love it! You should not only be an official ambassador for BVLGARI, but for the entire watch industry showing and telling your generation how cool and stylish it is to wear a mechanical wristwatch… When I was young - we had no smart watches yet - I always said: Time is too precious to be measured with a cheap watch, life is too short to drink mediocre wine…

Great video, Alexander. Most people are not aware that although the DNA of Bvlgari design is 100% Italian, the company's founder was not Italian but Greek. His name was Sotirios Bulgaris and he moved to Rome from a small village in Epirus, northern Greece , an area with a long tradition of silversmithing. His story and the subsequent development of his company are extraordinary. I am fascinated by the brand's watchmaking, especially the Octofinissimo line with Its classic Roman design and its high horology slim calibers and cases. When I purchased the titanium Octofinissimo GMT Chronograph in 2020 some people said this was just a "fashion" watch from a jeweler. I wish most traditional watch companies were as creative as this Italian jeweler! By the way, my Octofinissimo is still my favorite watch in my collection.

Another superb production Alexander! Very educational too! Rome’s historic position in the world has added to its design pallet and this has given Bvlgari an uniquely exotic design language. Coupled with the craft of jewellery making it has created some absolute works of art. From its beginnings in 1919, its watchmaking has reflected this and evolved to add the more modern Gerald Genta design language to its vocabulary. Swiss manufacturing in Le Santier reflecting the craft of watchmaking. No wonder then that Hollywood stars like Richard B and Liz T were attracted to Bvlgari!
I hope you keep producing more videos like this. They’re really fascinating! Thank you!

Great video! I used to think Bvlgari watches were just fashion watches with cheap movements, but being around the watch forums and RUclips has educated me on the brand. There are some Bvlgari watches I'd love to have, but you can't have everything, and I'm concentrating on another brand at the moment.
