What I like about the ADIML videos is simply seeing you guys live a simple life and enjoying what you have going on. Also, seeing you guys live in a place that I personally hope to live some day is nice, because it's not some extravagant life. You guys enjoy simple pleasures and so it's nice to see that and know you don't have to live the more often seen or advertised "city life." You guys show a different side to Japan aside from the city. It's you two being such positive and happy people that make it all look so appealing and interesting more than anything. So, I'm always excited to see another ADIML video up! Thank you guys for posting and sharing your life with us!
I love this kind of video because you're real and simple. You don't brag about all the glamorous things you have in Japan like most youtubers in Japan. You also love nature and prefer a quiet, modest life like me. I love both you and Ryosuke.
I am completely addicted to the ADIML videos, they're like a realistic documentary on life in Japan, everyday stuff but because it's so different from the West it is utterly fascinating. And it helps that you're both very engaging! :D
These videos are very calming to watch. Not sure what it is about them, but it is very relaxing to watch your DIMYL videos. Perhaps it's the familiar sounds of a morning routine, or the music that places during scenic shots. Whatever the case, they bring a smile to my face and I feel like I can jumpstart my day a little bit more (especially since I normally wake up around 11... haha) All of your videos are great, but these videos, I guess are more personal in a way? I don't know. I'm rambling but yes. Loved the videos!
With these DIML videos, we get to see everyday life in a country with a beautiful and alluring culture that most of us probably won't get to see firsthand. You and Ryosuke exhibit such a reassuringly strong, quirky, and very loving relationship while sharing with us the adventures and struggles of living abroad in an international relationship. You meet adversity with smiles and in this time when we get bombarded with so much negativity and drama it's very reassuring to see that some people are getting it right. I'm sure others feel the same but I can only speak for myself, these vids cheer me up and make my day when they're posted. Thank you both. 😄
the reason I love DIML videos: * they're longer ( so more Grace & ryosuke than usual) :P * peaceful * seeing how it's like to live in Japan * how it's like to work from home
Day in the Life are my favorite videos, because it's like being a fly on the wall! Coworking can definitely save your sanity when you're freelancing. It can be very isolating to work by yourself all the time.
I enjoy your DIML videos because I also work from home as an author & freelancer, and watching these videos feels like you are a friend sitting beside me chatting about your day :)
I think the reason that I like DIML videos is the interesting view you get of a "normal" life in another country. Yes, it might seem like mundane, but it really is fascinating. Also, I think these types of videos make the viewer feel like they are developing a close knit "family-like" relationship with you. We are happy when you've had a good day, laugh when you cute things, and commiserate when you silly/stupid things. It helps build a close social group that makes us happy to support your videos!
I really like your DIML videos. I don't know why but I really like seeing how you guys live. You are one of the most genuine and down to earth vloggers still on RUclips and there is something about you guys relationship and is so sweet and raw. As for video ideas, can Ryosuke do some cooking videos? I'm super interested in Japanese food. Have a lovely day! I'd really like to meet you one day.
I enjoy your diml videos because I get to see how lovely and wonderful Japan is on a regular day. I also enjoy seeing the love and the connection both of you have with each other, it isn't something I see very often.
I just love watching these videos for the simple reason, they are super interesting. It is fun to see how your day unfolds and what you do. I just think it gives a great glimpse into what real life is like for you in Japan. The meal Ryosuke made looked absolutely amazing. You should post the recipe for us.
You asked what we like about your DIML videos.... For me, it is all about how real it is... We get a sneak peak into a Published authors life! I know I'm trying to write a book but to see into your life and see how normal you are makes me feel like I don't have to be anyone but me to accomplish my task. That it doesn't matter how normal or extravagant my life is because I can just be me and still be successful! I love your comics and can't wait till the next one is out! I will be buying it soon after it's out lol.. Thank you for inspiring me to be me!
Hi, I think this is my first time commenting even though I have been a viewer for a while! I love your DIML videos because they're always really relaxing to watch. Your videos show a lifestyle that feels relatable to me as an early 20 something year old who doesn't have a lot of extra cash, who enjoys biking, who likes to socialize (occasionally), who loves to cook and appreciates food being made by loved ones :D I guess what I'm trying to say is that we have similar interests and I love how you appreciate the small moments in life. Woah that was a long comment, thanks Grace and Ryosuke for making these!
Would like to see Ryosuke's day as well, probably would be filled with his humor, haha Grace, try a warm cup of green tea. Sip it over time and just sit in a room with just minor lighting. It will get your body in sleep mode and you should be able to sleep much better. I hope it works for you as well as it is for me! Good luck!
Love you guys! I enjoy your DIML videos a lot since they show the snippets of daily life in another country that you don't always get in the planned sit-down videos, and I find it very interesting. Even just seeing your apartment is different since I've never been to Japan. Or the types of food you're cooking and taking off your shoes before entering places. I loved seeing your videos of the farming day and the foot baths too. Maybe one day I will visit Japan. Hugs from Wisconsin! :)
I like ALL your videos because it gives me a look into a life and lifestyle so very different than my own. I've been in Anchorage, Alaska for 46 years and vacations are usually to Hawaii. Now because of your vids (THAT AMAZING PARK!) and my sons recent trip - I do want to visit Japan! Til then I'm living vicariously through you 😊 I really like you and your goofball of a hubby!
Love the new intro. I like your a day in my life videos because seeing you guys so happy together and you so motivated in your work also motivates me. :)
Grace, please come back to youtube! I've been binge-watching your Day in My Life Videos and I don't know what to do once I finish all of them :( They are so good and natural and spontaneous. They make me feel relaxed and happy!
I like the DIML videos bc of the different places you go. it's cool seeing the transition from day to night and it comes off as more of a vlog. And the internet and I are nosy and like to know what's happening in your life😃
In answer to your question, Grace: 1. Both you and Ryosuke are upbeat and attractive, and have a great chemistry with each other (btw, anyone who tells you that you look "old" Grace is either crazy or jealous. Don't listen to them. You both look young and the same age to me) 2. Grace, one of the reasons I watch your videos is because you've got a curious mind. While it's obvious that you're both on a tight budget (like many of us !), you still like to get out and try new things in a foreign country, and you share all of this with us. Some of us wish that we had lived life as adventurously as you are. 3. It's an escape. When I watch your videos, especially a Day in Life series, it is easy for me to live vicariously through you in Japan, a country that I always wanted to visit.
I miss Mosburger. So good! I walked pass that cafe last time but didn't go in which sucks because it looks like an awesome place to chill. Ryo-chan is pretty amazing at cooking.
So I've been watching you guys since the beginning, and I love every video...and Ryosuke, your English is crazy good! I guess I didn't realize it over time, but in this video I suddenly was like "wait when did he start taking like that?" :-D
When Ryosuke was feeling "green" he had already been awake for over 11 hours... by five it had been twelve hours... before even going home and cooking dinner. When 10:00pm hit he had been awake for about 17 hours! That is a long day. DIML videos are nice in their celebration of the mundane - but in a good way... very fun!
I think is the timeline? With your other vlogs with get to know your opinions and experiences, but with the Day in My Life vlogs we get to know you guys in your routine and it feels like we're closer ^^
I like these videos because I just enjoy vlogs. I've never been to Japan and it's really interesting to see what life is like! Also I like seeing your food ^_^
It looked so bright out at 5:30h am...In Portugal I leave home sometimes at 6:40h and it is still pitch black, it's only that bright at around 7:45h...
No more "Bing!"? Coworking sounds great since I'm a freelancer. Sadly I don't know any other freelancers around here. I used to take my laptop to Starbucks just to work amongst other people though but sadly it broke and I can't afford a new one right now.
melatonin is great for letting you sleep when you're pushing those late nights. It's all natural and helps get you into that REM mode quickly. Should be able to find a bottle at any health food place or similar.
I know that the title is meant to say "Co-Working in Tokyo," bur somehow I read it as "Cow Working in Tokyo," which made me wonder where you could tend cows in a crowded city like Tokyo. On the other hand, I guess that would be an appropriate job for a Texan in Tokyo.
"Co-workers are nice, especially if you don't have to see them everyday." That's a great point :D
+ThatJapaneseManYuta
well hello, didnt think you would watch many of these videos :P
Small world!
i think, most people feel that way. lol. :)

+Bri V I agree that it's relaxing and calming. Love them!
"Happy wife, happy wife! - And don't you forget it!" Haha! I love you two!
Grace: How are you?
Ryosuke: I'm lime green

I love these kinds of videos from you. I watch many vloggers and everyone just seems to have such a "perfect" life but yours look so real. I love it.

Your so tan! :O And I always love how you include the time of day in the upper left hand corner! It makes the vlog that much neater :)
I really like the new video intro sequence! Very professional! Fortune cookie tipmoment at 8:34 . LOL
I love watching your DIML videos but idk why either! It's weirdly interesting and I just want to watch more of it:)

That burger had a HUGE slice of tomato, but Mos Burger YEA!! great place. A little different menu in Hawaii than in Japan.
It looked so bright out at 5:30h am...In Portugal I leave home sometimes at 6:40h and it is still pitch black, it's only that bright at around 7:45h...

love the new intro!!
Amazon JP Prime has been great for watching tv shows and movies. We don't have a tv either, so it's been a lifesaver.
I like the day vlogs would love to try that one day :)
That is how I read the title too! High five! (Ryosuke)
Texan in Tokyo High five!
today was a bad day. Then, I saw your face and everything is ok.
Grace I honestly think your DIML videos are awesome. I'm trying to improve on mine but it's hard to start out on RUclips XD
I would describe your DIML videos as a kind of IRL slice-of-life anime. Don't know if that helps though.. :D
Wow, that dinner looks soooo great. I wish Ryosuke was like my brother-in-law or something so I could visit for dinner sometimes.
Ryosuke should make a cooking channel if he wants :) it would be nice to learn some distinct japanese cooking
You've seemed a bit down in your videos recently. But keep it up. I love watching your videos!
+ThinkingTreePro We hate winter! It's so cold...
