I feel like the lower-middle is the hardest to be in. You can't afford nearly as much stuff as other people yet you still have a bed, a decent house, and food so you can't complain about being "poor" because you aren't yet you're still very stressed about money
Paying the mortgage off early or cutting off many years is a wonderful place to be in. Just reduce another bill...I cut my cable but have Amazon Prime and a Roku stick. I also switched to a generic med.
Paying a mortgage off quicker is not as hard as it seems. Small amounts of money overpaid in the early years have the biggest impact. A couple of hundred pounds can knock off a year. I paid the first one down and it was nearly gone so that we could move home. Then bought a house that needed totally gutting which we did over 90% of ourselves. That one was paid for in 13 years despite the expensive renovation in that time too and us being on a very low income.
I take full advantage of store price match. I know some shopers don't like when they have to wait in line while the cashier checks the other store's flyer. I don't care if others don't like what I am doing as long I am saving MONEY.
So heartless. You have no idea why she gained that weight. She could have been on steroids for years or had multiple miscarriages that caused weight gain.

+1spicytomato Yes I am frugal for the same reason. For sure.
Paying your home off depends on where you live.
Learn to go without. Store everything beneath a daybed or in a closet. Additional space and furniture may not be needed.

Where can you do this? Walmart used to but they told me they dont anymore?
Well yeah they do, but you have to print their policy to prove it to the cashiers.@@Humbleears
WOW!
i don't mean to be disrespectful but I would not so easily say most frugal
Housing and utilities are too expensive.
perhaps the medical bills wouldn't be so high if she lost weight !

My Frugal Raggy Life 🤣🤣🤣
She has chronic arthritis. If she tried to lose weight by exercising, she could worsen her condition.
I. Shave my head bald every March then let it grow till next march
Just stop shopping.
Obesity and frugality is a contradiction in terms.
