Listening to the start of this... First time I really think I won't be on sorare in 2 years.... Really brings home the fact that sorare is going in a direction I don't want any part of.
Interesting and good ideas. Few points on the part around 25 minutes though. 1) the idea of a “last user joining” is completely theoretical and I don’t think we will come close to that situation. 2) people will always keep buying cards because of injuries, bad form, unfavorable transfers. Especially the form part is very important for the dynamics of sorare card markets.
A mini avatar that’s adds a bit of utility. Imagine a special weekly that requires you to have a digital team collectible to participate. Or for example, the Milan special weekly but having the Milan digital jersey counts for 1 player on the criteria allowing for an extra differential. The micro transaction possibilities are endless.
Initially against micro transactions, but after listening to this amazing discussion I understand why they are necessary and how they can be implemented in a fun way. Personally I would love some sort of a grindable progression battle pass. The simplest way to implement micro transactions is to sell sorare coins for eth or cash amd revamp the shop to have everything you guys talked about. That way you can earn coins or spend extra to buy the same things, whether its memorabilia, power-ups, etc.
Going to say that the hook of FORCING people to open up the app / website is quickly where you go from a fun hobby that you can check x2 a week to a chore which you have to grind and feels like a second job I want to have fun picking teams, winning cards and ETH and showing with my football knowledge that I can do better than others I don't want a second job doing pointless, mundane, boring stuff which I don't give two lucks about The more and more pointless stuff they add which forces me to click a button which I can potentially forget about because of how busy my daily life is and as a result it hampers my chances of winning, the closer I move to selling up and never coming back
One Thing that is really small and doesnt make a difference is the f***Ing Club Emblem. ITS SO SMALL!!! Like please make it bigger or give me the option to buy a bigger Emblem

Fully. We are asking for such a long time for the progression bar. The shop could be possible a thing but it is just an empty shell at the moment
They will NOT sell socoins, this has already been said by sorare. “Coins can only be won”. They wont put a $$ value on coins.
That would be a fatal mistake for the site
Progression bar would be fantastic, just make the card rewards you get from it untradable tho

Nep needs to make a cap240 team and return his investment in 10 gws or weekend that would be a good video. Its definitely not easy IMO
Microtransactions are a good idea, they could funnel a good % of earnings back into the platform with more ETH rewards or tournaments etc

Guess they have to sell socoins & add boosts at sompoint. Its too stacked against new users otherwise.
Sorare isn't worth an investment. The company manipulates the market.
