How to Install Extra Fans on Your Gaming PC Case
HTML-код

- The fans I installed are the Autolizer Sleeve Bearing 120mm Silent Cooling Fan for Computer PC Cases (Amazon: amzn.to/2zHqP7Q)
This should help people understand the basic steps involved with installing new fans in your gaming PC. I have a Corsair case and Corsair water cooling and just about everything in my case is Corsair. However my fans are not Corsair though I could eventually upgrade them. I have two fans I need to install on the bottom of my case which requires turning my machine on it's side. Also I have a BitFenix Recon fan controller but I won't be plugging my new fans into it because it has already maxed out the available connections. I plugged one fan into the motherboard system fan and the other fan daisy chained off that fan. I would love comments about how I can get those connected to my fan controller or my power supply because at this time I don't know how to do it. I'm assuming I'll just need some new cables.

Looking for the same fans I bought? This is the Amazon Listing: amzn.to/2zN2htQ
Looking for the same fans I bought but in 80mm size? This is the Amazon Listing I would get: amzn.to/3bCbvq9 Seems to be the same manufacturer and style as my video, just in 80mm size instead. (It's worth noting that the 120mm size does not have 80mm screw holes. Check one of your existing fans and see if you can find 120mm or 80mm anywhere on it to see what you already have if you're not sure.)
Also this is the Fan Splitter Cable that I ended up buying but I didn't use it. It may help some people though: amzn.to/2y7mU3w
also, the reason why the new 2 fans you just added aren't fast enough is because, on the box/package, it said around 1500 rpm more or less, they cant reach 2k for a reason...
I got them on eBay for half the price
I have 1 question does this increase your FPS on like a game if you add fans?
You got that PC plugged up like it's about to go into the matrix
Thanks so much, this is so useful, keep up the good work!
Thanks friend
I might actually use this tutorial in ym pc thanks
it's literally like the most simple process but getting them facing the right way and also powering the fan are the complicated parts
Nice PC, I have a similar build that I built myself using a Cooler Master H500 case. I did add a large fan on the top of my case. The fan I used is actually a fan that I salvaged from a power supply that went bad. It's a little noisy but has good power. I built mine with a Core i7-6800k of to 4.4 GHz, 16 gb ddr4 ram 3000 MHz quad channel, motherboard is an MSI X99A gaming pro. For storage, I have the Samsung 970 Evo plus 500 gb SSD, Samsung 860 Evo 250 gb, Crucial mx300 275 gb SSD, and a Seagate Constellation 3 TB hard drive. For the graphics card, I have a PNY Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 gpu.
Very nice setup and cool that you built it yourself. I always worry I would break something or buy incompatible parts so I haven't been brave enough to build one.
@@JonnoPlays I remember that the very first gaming PC that I built myself in early 2001 was one with a 1.0 GHz Pentium III CPU, 256 mb ram and a GeForce 2 graphics card. I originally had Windows ME on it but later upgraded it to XP.
@@JonnoPlays yikes I started on pc in may… bought a business Acer Aspire TC-780… single 8gb DDR4 Ram, i5-6400, intel(r) hd 530 graphics… started building instantly. I believe in you!🖤
Great job! I enjoyed your post.
Thank you!
I like that PC Case. 🖥
Thanks! It's super large and has great airflow. Exactly what I wanted
You have such a beautiful pc😍
Thank you 👌
thx for the vid, I myself are going to add 2 more fans on top of my pc, because, I can't afford for a water cooler so I use 2 fans instead.
Good idea. Hope this helped a little at least
@@JonnoPlays indeed it did! Appreciate for a quick guide. I haven't built a pc before and my brother bought this rig for me as a gift so I am just upgrading it.
love the sceptile
Thanks fam
Wow that’s the most stacked up pc I’ve ever seen
I appreciate the compliment but it's not really that stacked lol 💪 I bought it years ago and continue to upgrade it when I get the chance but it really needs a new motherboard and processor. I may replace it altogether in the next year or two.
Jonno Plays wow hope ok goes here whilst I’m stuck here wid a £400 pc
lol they actually blow such a strong breeze that the paintings on the wall move... ive got only 3 fans for a 2080ti and i9 ... i thought about buying 4 more ...2 for underneath the case and 2 for above it ..underneath should push the air in and the ones above and the one at the back out ? ..sounds like a good idea
Basically just make sure all the fans make a straight line of airflow as much as possible. Mine came with a lot of air going out the top so it made sense to help it go that way. And yes I found the ones listed in description to be quite strong fans. Thanks for commenting bro
Why do you need to un plug the cables?
Like the RL music intro.
what about the top fans? which blower direction should be?
Top fans should blow out of the case. Those are where your heat syncs are for water cooling so you want to blow that heat out while the other fans are blowing cool air in. That makes a nice flow of air in and out of the case. My top fans are blowing up and out of the case.
Awesome.
aye thanks
I would do this.... if I could afford a pc😔😂
i mostly use my PC for editing video and doing work for my business but I do like it to be powerful and look cool and also it's nice that I can run every game on epic settings

First person I watch to learn how to add fans.. and you live in Sac too. Lol
That's cool you found this video bro 👌 I mean the process is kinda basic but hey if it helps anyone out I'm happy
@@JonnoPlays yeah I just got into the PC scene and I'm like man I need more fans. I'm a noob. Lol Does it take up more volts if I add more fans? If so, how much?
Sac is very, very, very hot! That's why I'm watching this!
I agree! These fans have been keeping my machine nice and cool and sometimes I even open up the case and blow a bigger fan at the inside. Just make sure there is absolutely nothing that can blow into the case like pet hair, or curious pets, or curious kids etc. I don't have any hazards like that though but I still clear the area of any gummy wrappers or stuff that could blow around.
I might be wrong, but I think you daisy chained them wrong. They needed to be connected in parallel and not in series as I think you did here. Then they will spin at the correct (fast) speed ;)
This is a valuable comment and I'm going to try to implement it and see what happens. I'm not sure if I'll be able to find another power source nearby.
I know this comment is a little late but what case is that from Xidax? I ordered mine not too long ago and it’s the X-2. These fans would be compatible with it? Sorry I am new to PCs
In my unboxing video for my machine in the description it has all the specs. I forget if it's in the description of this video too. It should have the case name and what else I got. Fans are all basically two sixes and Xidax cases have holes drilled for both so it should be fine.
I need fans but where do I put them I don’t know if I can put them anywhere
Your case should have holes for mounting them. If not sometimes there are externally mounted solutions. Otherwise you may need to replace case.
description hype i live in the uk
Thanks for watching in the UK! 🇬🇧
Nice video, man. I miss having a PC. Good times.
What you have now?
@@JonnoPlays A chromebook my brother gave me. I can't afford anything new.
Hey there, i got told that the grille of the fan is alway on the side of airflow direction, the way it shows on your guide they are blowing out and not in :O correct me if im wrong.
the curent set up is 2 in 5 out
Correction: okay, in the end you did fix it^
Great comment lol 😂
Hey I have the same fans and I want to know if you can change the colour to red. I have tried to change the colour but idk how. Thanks
I don't think so but technically it could be possible. Maybe ask the question to the amazon seller and they might know.
@@JonnoPlays ok Ty
Me having 7 fans all from NZXT and me not knowing why my fans are not working on the rgb fan hub
Good luck 🤞 🍀
Is it ok to connect two 12 cm pc fan in paralllel molex?
Idk fam sorry
Can I put different fans in a different case?
Most fans have two sizes drilled for the screws so yes you should be able to swap fans around from machine to machine
Dumb question, but you say that the fans blow into the tower. If so, how are the fans on the back of the tower moving the papers on the wall?
You want air flow in your case. The bottom and front fans suck in the cold air while the back fan blows out the hot air.
Correct not all the fans blow in you want airflow so some blow out. This creates a wind tunnel which moves the most air and cools the inner area off. The top fans blow out the top and the bottom fans blow in. The front fans blow to the back and the back fans blow out the back.
We like the same color scheme for PCs black and blue
I want to change it to rainbows and I think my LEDs are adjustable but I don't know how LOL
@@JonnoPlays what are your specs
i’m setting up minecraft video rn
ok

Ok
Ok
can i install 9 fans without fan hub ?
It just depends on your motherboard I would think. My board has a ton of fan power options but I don't think I would use them due to the wires being everywhere. My fan controller helps get the wires back to behind the panel. 9 fans sounds like a lot of fans though. I doubt you can get that many on the board with no extra support
air into the pc or outside of the pc?
Both
Hey what kind of GPU are u using?
RTX 2080 ti (msi version with 3 fans)
#MoreFansHype!!!!!
#NeedsMoreFans
Which motherboard?
I think it's in the description of my unboxing video. I have a Xidax PC if you search Xidax on my channel page it should come up with all the original specs including motherboard.
I connect my fan but it still won’t spin
You sure you have power on the part you connected it to? Should be fan power on motherboard. Maybe you connected it to something that isn't power but happens to fit?
beat your fans like how I beat up my children
5:36 looks like you installed the fans in reverse???
Helps if you watch the whole video
i might be wrong but your bottom fans look like they are blowing air out not in.
sorry i wrote while watching
you just corrected them.
Yeah no worries a few people did that. I did this pretty on the fly even my editing.
aye sacramento that.s whats up, im in sac too.

It looked like a joke lol “ case”
His cable management is not that bad, l mean like mine got a 65% cables in front of the motherboard
Yeah all my cables that can be behind the panel are behind the panel. Barely anything is out. I don't see why people say that except they have no creativity and saw another comment that said it
What is ur pc specs
Pretty sure it's in description
@@JonnoPlays no it s not bro
specs?
In my computer Playlist in the description of most videos on that Playlist.
As a result of this video I have now moved my cables slightly around so they don't look so frayed out. People really trip out about the smallest details. I was moving them around a lot during this video because I was searching hard for a power source I could use and they got all jumbled up looking. I don't normally keep them like that it just looked messy while I was filming. Anyway I can report they look a lot better now and all thanks to all the salty haters that posted comments I deleted. Thank you haters.
You're stressing over comments on a video a year old 😂😂😂😂😂
Saying your cable management sucks is not hating.

AAAAAA YOUR CABLE MANAGEMENT IS TRIGGERING MY OCD
Those aren't managed cables. I had to pull the whole thing apart to work on it. I put them back after I finished filming my work.
16 bucks sheeesh i only do cossair and those suckers are expensive specially when you have a 10 fan case lol
If I was changing out all my fans I would have done corsair too they are the best. However I wanted to match what I already have as closely as possible so this is just what matched my existing setup. I bought this computer in like 2016 so it's not going to have the most modern looking fans.
98% sure those are blowing out
98% sure you gotta watch the whole video

That company is a scam lol, build your own.
They are now. I wouldn't buy from them again sadly they've gone way down in quality. At the time I got my machine it was pretty good though. If you build your own you risk breaking parts or getting mismatched parts that aren't compatible so it's not an option for everyone. I'll go check out your channel now and see your computer that you built yourself. Be right back...
Why do they care about YOUR set up. Ur only trying to help out🤦♀️🤦♀️
