    I got the GF 500mm too, and I had no idea it's possible to use the 1.4x converter.
    How do you like that combo?
    Hearing you mention it has me curious whether I could get my hands on one and give it a try!

      It's very easy to use and would recommend ! obviously you lose some light gathering but generally not a problem and how much does a faster 550 equiv lens cost !
      There is very little, if any loss of image quality and is a great emergency long lens on the 100-200 if I'm travelling light !

    What film simulation are you using as a base?

      It varies - A mix of Reala Ace, Astia soft and velvia as a base start off point
