This is more advanced then people would like to believe. While judging his philosophy they're ignoring the scores of expression and effort, plus for many people graffiti is a coping mechanism.
Crazy, I used to do similar things with faces, expressions, etc back in the 90s. I think subconsciously we like letters where the lines simulate facial expressions, body language, etc. A lot of times, it was like I was laughing for getting away with something and I liked the way it lookd
"..and with that I could eventually change the expressions of whatever character I do, whichever way it looks, if it's- reflecting a certain way I'm feeling at the time or whatever" *cuts to Pemex painting a sad throwie* I felt that.
Dug this. Beautiful film, wicked letters especially the throw ups...Feeling Pemexs attitude, big respect...I'm from the London in the UK and I can't imagine doing that day time stuff so blatantly without getting immediately rolled by cops. More films like this please...peace!
+TwelveLabours Yeah probably because all of London is on CCTV. There's spots in the bay where you could pull this shit off, but they're all hood as fuck. There's also spots where you'd get rolled instantly. Just depends on what area you're in.
@Paul Lukes, great thing is though no matter how hood it is in the bay you're safe. People don't fuck with you here if you know how to stand your ground.
TheGre3nT3am That's the thing though, you have to know how to stand your ground. If you're walking around looking like a mark, wearing hella jewelry, showboating all your new apple products, while cruising through the L's at 4 am, you're most likely gonna get jacked. It's definitely not safe in my opinion. I've had a strap pulled on me several times and my homie had his hand shot off so shit does pop off. You may have just been lucky enough to avoid it. Not to mention cops just busted fools that were robbing tourists at gunpoint near Lombard street in broad daylight. So shit can really go down anywhere.

Hey there, i need your help to find a specific graff video. i try to find a graff documentary that i have watched about 2 yrs ago. there are only a few things that i remember. i will just tell you all i know and hope that somebody knows the video and can tell me what the title is because it srsly drives me crazy. in the beginning of the video there is somebody giving a spoken introduction to the video and he says something like "after frostbitten fingers and the death of a brother...." . i am pretty sure that the graff artist died. he was painting lots of giant characters (i think just outlines), lots of them on trucks. in the end of the video his face was exposed in scenes where you could see him writing. he was not only painting graffiti but also non graffiti paintings on canvas. i think at some point there was an art exhibition in the video. and there is this iconic scene in the video where he destroys one of his own canvases by painting over it ( i think it was because his friend died). that really is not much information but its all that i remember. i am looking for this video for ages and just had the idea to ask people on youtube. thanks in advance for anyone who can help me
