You need all those stats to do the right damage so you can kill Arjuna with the np and at that hp, considering all skills were on cooldown on the last turn. And the moment you use support you lose the point of using guts because enemy can kill your servant twice if there are others on the field.
I wish I was that good at this game, but I'm a scrub who had to rely on command seals for most of the boss battles in Shinjuku and straight-up failed to defeat Kiara.

Command codes are really great for soloists. They basically have access to 5 extra skills with no cooldowns and they can use 3 of them per turn.
They aren't nearly as powerful as skills. But they do help. I'd say all 5 codes are about = to 1 skill.
