Our fans, that’s if these are fans are so bloody negative, don’t know how some of them get through life. One of the things I’ve never do is have negative people anywhere near me. This is a project, and we were so far off it you were never going to fix things overnight. There is 11 years of malaise to get rid of, and that’s going to take time.

Have we forgetten SAF's first few pre-Premier League years when 99.99% of us wanted him gone, accused him of being clueless, and insulted him saying the Scottish League can't prepare you for the English First Division!!!?
11th, 2nd, 13th, 6th...if they'd sacked him, they'd have sacked 13 PL titles, 2 CL wins, and a shed load of other glorious memories.
ETH has had a better start to any United manager. 2 Trophies and 2 Euro qualifications, all the while doing a rebuilding job almost as big as the one SAF had to do. Sacking him, no matter what happens this season would be silly.
Rebuilding the mess made in the years since SAF quit, was never going to take less than 5 years. Arteta has only just established Arsenal after 5-6 years, and shedding ALL the previous regime's players. Klopp took as long.

We've had novices and elite or former elite managers take the reigns of the club and got nothing for their efforts. Maybe we should wait another 10 years before a manager gets long enough to turn things around. Maybe in that time the toxic fans will go back to following Chelsea or spurs. Comparing united now to united in the 1940s or 1980s is irrelevant. Different game, different league, different circumstances. It took them 6 years to win their first league titles. So what? It doesn't mean that will happen for ten hag. Ron Atkinson was there for 6 years, he didn't win it.
I'm sick of hearing about Arteta too. He maintained the same position in his 2nd season, then broke into the top 4. Still won nothing though. Ten Hag dropped 5 places in his second season. It's not the same.

It did not take Klopp 6 years to win the title. He came in as Liverpool manager in October of the 2015/16 season after Brendan Rodgers got sacked midway, so not a full season, and he won the title in the 2019/20 season so that's roughly less than 4 full seasons. It may take Ten Hag SIX FULL YEARS to win a league but don't compare that with Klopp.

In October, and they played 30 league matches under Klopp in 15/16, that's almost a full season, I don't think you can just easily dismiss that. They also had a good structure in the club. Ten Hag has only now received what looks like a proper structure.

@@faradayfelix What are you on about? He had players like Martin Skrtel, Clyne, Simon Mignolet, Sakho, Lucas Levia and plenty more in the squad itself who were pretty bang average. He didn't have the luxury of splashing cash willy nilly like Ten Hag did buying utter dross players like Antony for extortionate amounts like £86, a player he previously had in his previous club. Ten Hag, in his first 3 years at the club so far, has spent around £560m. Klopp, in his first 3 years, spent £240m. Klopp took over a team that finished 6th the season before, Ten Hag took over a team that also finishedd 6th the season before. Far too much unwarranted negativity. A lot of Utd players are basically still in pre-season mode getting their sharpness and fitness up to speed having completely missed out on Utds actual pre-season (Garnacho, Hojlund, Fernandes, Dalot etc). New signings also need time to bed-in and adapt to the league - DeLigt, Zirkzee, Ugarte etc. Was always gonna be a patchy first 6-10 games until they start clicking as a team.

I've always been of the opinion that Ole should have been given more time.
We could all see issues at times. But he got more from the team than the sum of its parts. He had a great record against the big rivals. And he was getting a tune while being under glazer ownership and with Woodward in charge of buying players...
Ole did enough to suggest under proper leadership of the club, he could have potentially been successful here.

@preetjitsingh328 it's not just hindsight, plenty of us were vocal at the time saying he should be given time and proper backing and support.
The only aspect of hindsight now, is seeing the structure being put in place by INEOS, and having an image of how Ole may have succeeded under them. But wanting him to have stayed is not hindsight... because I was speaking that loudly and proudly at the time.

It's been that way for the last few seasons. These managers we've had are more concerned about conceding goals than they forget we need to score goals to win games. Why do you think we can't score goals? Especially the actual strikers. We're expecting our wide players to score the majority, and we're not buying goal scorers to cover for injuries, we're flooding our defense with defensive holding midfielders. 1 mistake and we're screwed. Manager has no idea what to do when we concede the first goal, so the flood-gates open. It's embarrassing.

@hooksx so does casemiro 😂 and EYH finished 8th last season with a negative goal difference - or have you forgotten that? I think united fans are brain washed or are utterly dillusional. You chose. All the managers we've brought in since fergie has had a high success rate for other clubs, (except ole) but have failed at united for whatever reason - whether we've been backed by the board or not.
Ten Hag will be gone by Xmas - its the only way we'll challenge. We can't even beat Palace or Brighton. How can we expect to beat city, Liverpool, Chelsea, spurs, arsenal etc. Or do u think we cam win the league without beating those?
Cos city score and average - an average!! - of 5 goals per game. If they get relegated and we get some of their players then we might get a chance if competing 😂😂
