"Gasket mount" GK sounds so good especially that spacebar! I might build one like this if I ever be back at office after the pandemic, maybe with silent Alpaca tho.

Haha, thank you!
man that spacebar sounds so good also wanted to ask you if the o-ring mod worked with the optical gk61 prebuilt
Hi Wally! Thank you for the comments! The space bar almost sounds like an SA space bar! And you can also do the O-ring mod with the optical GK61 as well!
@@Keybored ok thank you, I might do it when I do my keyboard lubing stream
Wow, Boba U4T coming in with that thock
Dem Thocky Switches!
At the 3:48 typing test, I didn't hear much switch interference, especially given its Cherry profile keycaps on a northfacing board and the switches are just Gateron Yellows, surprising
Yup! I think certain combinations actually work fine even north facing!
I wanna see this O-Ring mod for the GK87 sheeesh
Hi Sounak! Unfortunately, the GK87 has a different mounting system, but that keyboard turned out nice with some mods as well!
If the stars align I might be getting one of these stupid cheap, enough so that I can get a nicer set of keycaps, or foam for the keyboard (I'm using an old moutse pad for the case deadening.)
This will be my entry into optical, and 60%.
Hey, just wondering why didn't you put o-rings on the middle two screw too? what if we put o-ring to all the screw ?
Sound amazing I'm gonna try this mod too.
Yup! I didn't put the o-rings or screws in the middle ones because I wanted the assembly to float over the alphas. It will create a softer and more even typing experience, and also the sound as well!
11:14 that sound came from a $60 GK BOARD? Sold. Do you think you could also mod the GK68 like this?
Hi blobinski! It's pretty surprising right? I believe so, given that they all share similar designs. I actually want to try this with the aluminum or wooden version with the FR4 plate. I feel that may sound amazing actually.
the gateway drug
Indeed! Right after I finished this, I thought... I wonder how the aluminum version with fr4 plate will turn out lol
Hey I was wondering if those keycaps that you used for the drop ctrl have any intererance with holy pandas on the gk87? Also love the vids!
holy pandas have long stem pole, so you wont have any interference on cherry profile keycaps
WAIT THESE ARE GATERON YELLOWS
Yes indeed!
@@Keybored They have so much thock.
