What a beautiful piece of history!!! Love the early panzers. Thank You Sofilein, for taking us on a walk down memory lane. Let us remember what we all die for and not to do it again!
Thanks Sofi. It is near impossible that I get down there any time soon, so seeing this really satisfies that craving for me! Plus its cool almost like being there with you, which would just be beyond words! Great videos, thanks so much!
I watched it again. This is still one of my favourite videos of yours. I feel like I'm there with you just taking it all in. All the rust & scratches, looking like it just rolled off the battlefield. I'm an artist and I love to draw & paint mechanical things. There is so much on that tank that's visually interesting. Not just as a whole, but so many small pieces that make it into what it is. I could spend several weeks alone just drawing it. I think they should keep it looking just like it does, it's beautiful.
In a video like this you can truly appreciate the whole mechanical poetry of the tank, and it takes a very special person to feel it, and awesome skill to pass it on "film". Cannot be faked, either you have it or you don't. Sofilein, Thank you!
Thank you! I can now see where the part from the Tamiya kit is supposed to go! The plans aren't clear, but now I can see exactly where it is to go. Many thanks.
Height of average German was 5'8" at the time. Weight of around 150 lbs was considered typical I believe, but 140 lbs was common enough. They weren't couch potatoes.
The classic Music reminds of all the Young people that died by and in these small tanks. Very impressive Video, Makes me a little bit sad. Thanks to Sofilein, until now i have never seen a boring Video coming from you. All of them are very impressive Please excuse my bad english, schooldays are long ago. Greetings from Germany
Oh I really liked this walk around! The music, as usual was stellar and the close ups through that open port allowing an inside look was my favorite shot. Would have loved to have seen what was in that open grate at the back of the tank. Also kudos on getting through the narrow passage way going around to the front of the tank without bumping into anything and jarring the camera.
They are not identical though.. The Wespe suspension was beefed up but if you are building a Dragon kit then it has the correct one for Wespe but wrong for Pz. II
OK I need to seriously ask this. I was at Fort Benning a couple of years ago to see these awesome tanks but was told there is NO museum at all. That there was just garages with tanks and that access was not allowed. Yet I keep seeing people post pics of their successful visits to these "garages". Yet I am just allowed to see the few tanks at Patton Park. What is REALLY going on there? Is it just closed of to the public? If so how are people getting access? Why was I denied then? I traveled from FL to Georgia to see them. This is not just a 1,2,3 car ride. I live near Tampa and the distance to a bit long. We have VERY, VERY few museum's down here with tanks and those that are here, well at least the ones I have been too, have ZERO German tanks. It's frustrating to see people getting in but I am rejected.
No it is not open except for memorial day and perhaps some other days. It is not a nuseum, it's a workshop. www.armorcavalryheritagefoundation.org/museum-1 The National Armor and Cavalry Museum is planned to open in 2025.
Dear Sofilein! What you meant to write in the description is that the tank destroyer variants(Marder IIF and Marder IIA-C) were equipped with the PaK 40.This turret is just simply too small for a 75 mm gun.
It is also a light. It has reduced area of illumination for driving at night and still hopefully not attracting too much attention. Many call it a "Notech" light as that was one of the manufacturers.
I visited Aberdeen Proving grounds in 1989 they said the Panzer 2 was being restored. If that is the case, it wasn't a very good restoration. do you know if this tank runs?
This is over at Sandhill, it is the main building at the spot where the tanks and some other artifacts used to be kept before the place at Harmony Church that you visited was built.
Now this you could drive to the grocery store.....for some good Dark pumpernickel..some fine beef n pork sausages...sweet n sour potato salad...butter..wine...Beer of course. And your Panzer! How Sweet! Let’s go for a picnic...maybe a little quail hunting? It’s pretty good off road...and it’s got swivel bucket seats..stereo. Cup holders. Cooler...for the beer. Sausages cooking on the manifolds with the potatoes....yummy! Those bigger Panzers are nice...but scare away the quail. Nice!
C'mon U.S.A. Get your shit together and get these in a proper building and proper restoration. If you are unable to do that then donate them to private museums that will. They need to be preserved and people need to be able to see them.
intense! Love tanks! Hate how they ate people up. Particularly a Nazi tank. This type seems special. Not as heavily armed or armored, but a kind of pinnacle of terrible perfection in it's original meaning... an off road anti personnel/anti vehicle design. My dad's dad rode in one during ww2. Don't know what type or theater or position as he never talked about it. I don't think he rode in one because he liked them. It was a means to an end and the way home.
As someone building a model of the panzer 2... this is literally the best thing I could have ever fiund
All proper men have models of panzers around the house.
my thoughts exactly.
What a beautiful piece of history!!! Love the early panzers. Thank You Sofilein, for taking us on a walk down memory lane. Let us remember what we all die for and not to do it again!
Thank you for YOU! Your love of tank history has brought forward so much knowledge and perspective on these beautiful machines of History! Don’t stop!
The most beautiful “small” tank I’ve seen!
Sofilein ... you did a great job with Nicholas Moran. You need to get out in front of camera all the time.
Anyone can film a tank but it’s your passion for the subject and your reactions that make the video worth watching.
I absolutely love these little things, they’re small, look good as hell and are amazing in war thunder.
This is my favourite tank its just perfect
Thanks Sofi. It is near impossible that I get down there any time soon, so seeing this really satisfies that craving for me! Plus its cool almost like being there with you, which would just be beyond words! Great videos, thanks so much!

This is the walkaround we need!!! Finally, thanks!!
One of my Top 5 tanks! Such a beautiful machine!
So much interesting stuff as you moved the camera around! Thanks for the video
Perfect music choice!
I turned the volume all the way down. I couldn't help but think of the losses from the eastern front.
man, hard to believe 3 guys could fit into that thing

I like this panzer 2 because the real shade of the panzer grey used for the early vehicles is still very preserved under its mustered yellow coat!

Cool little tank.
One of my favorite tanks in WW2. Such under armored and gunned. But that 20x138 B with Tungsten core's put up a good fight.
Hi Sofi, I am building a model of a Wespe and the close up shots of the suspension and lower hull are most helpful.
They are not identical though.. The Wespe suspension was beefed up but if you are building a Dragon kit then it has the correct one for Wespe but wrong for Pz. II
Intersting leaf spring suspension they have. Cool peaks into the inside.
Outstanding work as always
We need some 360 degree walkarounds of your awesome hair! Benning is an amazing trip for WOT fans. Wish I'd had more time when I was there.
I haven't found a single video on RUclips about inside look of Panzer 2.
Love the panzer mk2 this one looks like it came off the battlefield in North Africa 1941/ 42. This tank along with the Italian anasaldo m13/40.
Thats the tank i want to own.
That and a case of beer!
Good times!
I love this channel ❤
Great video!
This tank was restored to brand new condition in Germany/Munster PzTrpS II in 1990.
Forlorn music that reminds of a tank that may have been described by Guy Sajer holding out at the Memel bridgehead.
Hi Sofi, do you remember the music you used for this. It is very nice.
Nice, how about making such videos with commentary. I believe it will add a lot to it.
Nice work, keep it up.

Isn't that a cute tank?! :-)
I want to cuddle it!
I love these tanks
I built that model in 1/6 scale, beautiful tank
Dear Sofilein!

1:51 - what is the object next to the headlight, shaped kinda like a flattened german helmet on a stick...
It is also a light. It has reduced area of illumination for driving at night and still hopefully not attracting too much attention. Many call it a "Notech" light as that was one of the manufacturers.

Don't even need the music, just a good reference.
80 years old and they still haven't found the leak.
Grampa has the same problem.
Just like my Volkswagen
The music makes sense. People died in these things, and also died as a result of their powers.
Was this used during the Spanish Civil War campaign?
Look how the Panzer evolved in a short 5 years.
Pz ii is my biggesssssssssssssst love !!!!!!
Leaf springs! I never noticed that. mg 34?
The Pz2 worked OK as a part of a combined arms team. If that failed, heaven help you against any AT gun of the period.
Why is this museum not open to the public.
They have open house days about once per quarter, and do a really good job of announcing them in advance on their socials, check it out
Where is this at? It's not in their main gallery when I went there. Is this in a building next to that main one or at another spot on base?
This is over at Sandhill, it is the main building at the spot where the tanks and some other artifacts used to be kept before the place at Harmony Church that you visited was built.
Pz II
I love it ❤️
Awesome thanks!
is this the original paint from north africa?

Nice tank...
It is a cute tank
Who wouldn't want one!!
Justo no está el escape 😢😢😢
Used as a driver trainer? Wow.
I played this video expecting to see Sofilein and all I saw was a tank 😔
Good German steel. What's this one's history?
The short version was written down in the description.
@@bencejuhasz6459 thanks. Read it now.
My go to in war thunder.
Its no pz1c but i wouldn't turn it down
Come little Sofi, let's steal this cute little tank and vanish à la Selma & Louise.
Oh! A Kettenkrad @1:08....... I might have squealed a bit.
I want one
Looks so tiny! 🤗
C'mon U.S.A. Get your shit together and get these in a proper building and proper restoration. If you are unable to do that then donate them to private museums that will. They need to be preserved and people need to be able to see them.
Cool
C'mon no narrative... no describing of anything. I feel kinda cheated.

Oh ye, the music.
Hummm I'm pritty sure that if she is single and loves tanks she is my type of girl
BTW subed just cause I love her and the tanks👊😁😉👍
Just tell us what you think or what you like or dislike. You don't have to be a professional.
Zis is vat ze germans ACTUALLY BELIEVE!
A true Blitzkrieg Panzer. His tight size cheated the Wehrmacht through the ardennes.
