Lucky you to raise queens in this kid of weather.. 55F is pretty cold for raising queens and getting high success rate is AMAZING! Good job.

Question ? Did you put the graft bar in a day earlier for them to clean , I see a lot of bee keepers do this so maybe worth a try and see if that makes a difference for them raising your queens. Just a thought . 👍
No I didn't. I've seen no advantage in doing so. I think this was due to cold temperatures and dry larvae.
