The strawhat's change outfits a lot even pre time skip. You don't notice it as much cause luffy barely changes if at all, but the other members change almost every new island/arc. Sometimes multiple times an arc.
If his shoulders are the same as chainsaw man's they should be able to get really good range, just finnicky. Its hard to tell, I don't have my CSM on me right now and my Sanji hasnt arrived to compare I'm super happy with how nice Sanji is looking overall though! Makes me not want to cancel my Yamato and Kaido POs after Zoro lol
Def prefer both pre-timeskip designs and art style. As far as the figure goes, definitely looking cool bar the shoulders. Wish Tamashii would take some notes from their Jujutsu Kaisen line for their One Piece figures. They might not blow people's socks off in terms of looks, but they're definitely some of the most fun figures Tamashii has put out. Yuta is easily one of my all time favorite SHFs even with its simplicity.
Sanji should have come with a stand because he uses his legs to fight and to also do that spinning kick, Gear 5 Luffy will come with a stand for some reason, though. I wonder if it's because he is supposed to float or because Bandai is aware the figure won't be able to hold a pose with these wired limbs, lol.
Awesome Sanji figure besides the shoulders upper thigh area. For the question I really like their time skip clothes but still like some designs from before the skip. Lol I finally started watching it again and I'm currently on the punk-hazard saga as well, such an enjoyable anime series
Thanks for the review Anthony! Also, a bit of a weird request, but have you seen their promo shots of the upcoming Gear 5 Luffy figure? It uses bendy wire for the limbs, and I’m curious about how you think that design choice might hold up? Does Bandai have a bad track record with that sort of thing?
The wire itself isn't what is the most concerning... But the rubber or whatever they're using to cover the wire up. Imagination works Goku had a LOT of cases of the rubber they used to cover the arm's joints just tearing apart...
You can get nearly 90 degree shoulder outward movement if you move the butterfly joint upwards, it looks ugly when you do it though and sometimes the joint pinches in the soft plastic torse when you move it back to default position, so it still isn't a good shoulder design (Chainsaw man has the same kind of shoulder but it is far more effective and smooth).
Sanji should’ve came with another two flame legs (I will not spoil for you). Unfortunately they didn’t even bother to do it Hope this isn’t another build a figure on a $60+ figure, that would suck. If that’s the only way to get the flame then fine but they should’ve just included it with the figure
Maybe it's a coincidence but releasing Sanji last leaves a better taste in everyone's mouth for anticipating the next wave of figures which, from the looks of it, Yamato will just be an articulation mess, Kaido will be fine but way too expensive for every person to get, and Gear 5 which doesnt appear to improve on the issue with the Luffy figure, which is his shorts getting in the way of the knees
It's true that you can't flex bone when it comes basic human anatomy, but we're talking about figures from cartoon shows, one piece defied most of the basic human movement, so Sanji having bent thigh, isn't really out of the ordinary But let's be honest, the shf one piece line sucked lol
The thighs destroy the silhouette. I get why they want a bit more range for Sanji, but their execution still isn't great. Love the accessories though, hoping they all swap out that well, my SHF Fourze's leg swaps still takes a lot of effort and that figure is a decade old. This first batch of One Piece figures haven't been great. It has me super concerned for when they get to the more complicated designs like Yamato. Really hoping they don't screw him up.
It’s something that Bandai has been doing for a while now where they have (usually) 1 character (usually the protagonist/s) at an entry level price point in order to get people to dip their toes into the line, usually sacrificing accessories in order to get to that lower price point. They’ve done this with Kamen Rider consistently since 2018, Dragon Ball has done it with the Superhero retail releases, and now they’ve done the same with Naruto & One Piece.
@@chewymew I think the main difference there is that those sailor moon figures released back in 2015 and that was a time when figuarts were less expensive than today (they ranged from $25-$40 generally as opposed to nowadays where they’re usually $60+ on average which make these entry priced releases more necessary).
not knowing anything about wumpees, i thought for sure he had thigh high boots on! The only SH Figuarts I own are SailorMoonz, but I don't much like the ugly joints so they live in their boxes.
@@LuMartinez001 Yes, And the way this Sanji's shoulder move is more realistic. When you lift your shoulder upward in real life, the lat muscles are also move up. Some reviewers are lack of attention about small details.
Post Timeskip has my favorite designs. Post Timeskip strawhats are peak, like them ALOT more than pre timeskip although it was still good. All interchange fits are actually pretty good aswell.
Shf need to stop over engineering things that mostly make the figure worse. The wano kimonos are probably my favorite designs but the alabasta dessert designs are up there too.
Parts swapping on Figuarts have been really good as of late & I’m glad to see that’s still the case with Sanji. Actually recently the Kamen Rider Geats line has a form change gimmick that’s executed really well and is very simple to do, lots of fun! Also yeah those old sentai style shoulders aren’t the greatest.
@@hellomonday1068that doesn't change what they said. SKC OOO also had bad QC so the part swapping gimmick broke the elbows, so it's not really *good.* Plus, SHF Kamen Rider Fourze did it before OOO anyway.
@@hellomonday1068 oh yeah OOO definitely came first, I was just going with a more recent example. There was also Geiz revive & the Den-O figures that also had a form change gimmick.
Great review. Yes Sanji is the best out of the 3 Shf OP figures released so far however a mediocre figure placed alongside two bad figures will seem better than it is. All of the OP figures have been varying degrees of bad, Sanji is just hovering around good but could have been great with better shoulders, double joints and the additional accessories mentioned in the review especially considering this is a $70 figure in my country etc.
the thigh cut makes no sense, it's ugly as hell, why ? look at Loid, he also wears a suit and everything on him looks better, no ugly thigh cuts, better shoulder articulation
The strawhat's change outfits a lot even pre time skip. You don't notice it as much cause luffy barely changes if at all, but the other members change almost every new island/arc. Sometimes multiple times an arc.
It happens way less pre skip

I believe once they hit the Grandline they have outfit changes every new spot they goto, ie. Albasta skypiea, water 7, etc
Yep

This is the only review for Sanji that you should watch and decide.
It's always smarter to get a second opinion.... or more for that matter.

looks wise the shoulder butterflies remind me of the Toybiz McFarlane Spidey figure
Food and ifrit jambe should have been included
A food dish, apron and/or cooking utensils would have been sweet!

Right

1st. Sanji
2nd. Luffy
3rd. Zorro
I don't get the price gap within the line between luffy and sanji /zoro

Make a Baki hanma review storm collection
to be fair sanjis main weapon is his legs so me personally I don’t have a problem with the arms I mean I have low standards.

Are you going to review the figuarts berserk figures? I've really been tossing up whether I'll get them cause they look a bit off proportionally
i got this last week
my luffy is perfect, zoro is obviously a slightly cheaper make, sanji is perfect, looking forward to law, yamato, kaido….and luffy
Will you be reviewing the new figuarts berserk line?
Yes
Wtf you even watching one piece? This is why you're the goat
Was this store bought or ordered?
Raid on onigashima is the best look for me.
Are you gonna review orochimaru and guts? Those are some figs i really want to pick up
Guts for sure
Past Blue all day, any day
Do the legs pop off easily? I saw that in other reviews :(
Only if you push them past the limit
Pre time skip for sanji, the black suit makes him looks like a bad ass cook.
Sometimes the outfit changes arent very drastic.
I want this one!!!!
Hyped for this one now just to see what the verdict is haha❤
man i hate those thigh swivels, they break the sculpt so bad. other than that this sanji looks great.
The shoulder is not that bad, you can move the shoulder upward to make the T-pose.

Shoulders can hit a "T" pose if pinched in and pulled up a little. Will look a bit like marvel figures with a bulge under the armpit
Yeah. You have to use the butterfly to do it though. That's not good lol
Alrighty before we look at the figure lets tak a look at my package💀💀🔥🔥 1:25
I think tamashii over enginer the figures and they bit off more than they can chew

He can do a T pose, you just have to move the shoulder in for him to T pose.
I'm not a one piece fan, but this is a fantastic figure.
