Hi Clint, thank you for this. What a sound!. I'm afraid that I often cringe when I hear the sound from some DSP radios. I often listen to them. I'm surprised that they have not moved to their usual summer frequency 9920khz. 73 and GDX.
@@OxfordShortwaveLog I live in the States, so they're plentiful here. You can buy them for a pretty good price too. Hallicrafters is another classic brand.
@@OxfordShortwaveLog Sounds like you have at least one reason to come to the States for a vacation or have one shipped to you. If there's a will, there's a way. 😊
Sounds great.
Cheers, David!
Still a pleasure in a modern day shack. SDR is great but nice to have something old school to play with..👍
Couldn't agree more! Love the old analogue kit!
Nice reception and a beautifully cared for receiver. Sweet! 73 and a great afternoon to you.
Thanks, you too! 73!
That sound really is good - smooth AND clear. So many receivers have a hard//harsh edge, this one sounds great.
Cheers, David! It's certainly putting out wonderful audio.
Also picked this up in Wales . I have done well this week picking up stations from the Pacific region.
Great stuff, Josh! 73!

Thanks Jim! PS I've bought an RF919 but don't tell anyone lol!! 73
@@OxfordShortwaveLog I'm looking forward to seeing your review of it. 73s and GDX
Cheers, Jim! 73
I really enjoy hearing shortwave on old school radios. The Zenith hollow state and solid state Transoceanic radios are particularly good.
I would love a Zenith Transoceanic!

Yes they're a bit rarer over this side of the pond...thanks
