Stone Battle Axe made from some really poor stone. Sometimes the stone is less than ideal, but you can still work a tool or weapon from it. Thanks for watching and see you in the bush. Хобби

True
Nah, it's useful stuff, but the tech is ancient. There will be plenty of junk to craft things in an apocalypse I made a bullet resistant shield out of a toilet seat lid, a fiberglass welding blanket, and and old leather jacket. Skills like that are more useful, unless you want to stay away from the skeleton of civilization completely.
Ya but what if he decides to eat you
Man the axe was already cool. But that little spinny machine tho.
Its a pump drill
@@deez7297 you gotta admit, little spinny machine's got more of a snap to it, more catchy.
@@deez7297 was gonna say bow drill, I call all fire drills bow drills XD I'm calling it a fire drill cause it is, he just doesnt let it go long enough, drills use friction and pressure to get hot and burn, Imissed talking about survival stuff, man I like just forgetting that I have a life outside of this :) edit: thanks to Entiox, he has told me there is a stone tip, so no, it is a drill, but if you remove the stone and make the tip smooth, you can start a fire easily :)
Edit#2: Entiox deserves more likes than me, GIVE THEM MORE LIKES THEN ME
They're also used as natural fire starters if you don't have flint
@@MihailBoi378 the pump drill he was using had a stone point to carve out the hole, but there are fire starting drills just like that. I'm working on one now that's going to have replaceable tip so I can put in a piece of hardwood for fire starting or different sized stone points for drilling.

Love your vids. Quick question: How durable are stone weapons and is their any special methods that you use to increase their durability?
Meh, a blade on a stone weapon or tool doesn’t stay sharp for long, but are pretty easy to repair and sharpen. As stone spear points get repaired, they get smallest, and when it gets small enough, it is used as an arrowhead. Stone blades tools tend to be smaller than their metal counterparts, because they would shatter easily if made too big. Copper dulled about as quickly as stones, but if it structurally failed, it was more likely to bend instead of shattering, making it advantageous, despite its soft and poor ability to hold an edge (stay sharp). If you look at stone arrowheads, they are pretty small, usually not much wider than the arrow shaft, meaning that it would have a lower chance to shatter on bone, and with its small size, it would tend to go between the ribs of whatever animal is being hunted, instead of being wide enough to get caught between them and shattering.
@@biohazard0482 Thank you for the detailed answer. I really appreciate it. Stay blessed

I mean, I'm pretty certain that us fans of yours would really love a demo with these please. I mean I know I wanna see it in action! Bad ass man. Love these shorts!
It probably wouldn't be a good weapon, flint is very brittle that why stone axes back then used sharpend river stones, the river stones wouldn't get as sharp but they were much more durable
This man is preparing for war by making his own weapons and I'm sitting here eating toast with peanut butter
Workimg with rocks like this has allways been something i've wanted to try, unfortunetly life is a little full for me so i hope in the future I find the time to learn

...and now we have seen how to knapp a piece of flint...
...and that drill with the little stone flywheel was sooo cool!!!...
🦊 Thanks for sharing, lol 🥰 Great head splitter. Have a safe and blessed week.
When he said protection that's when I knew he wasn't just serious he's a scary dude
He's talking about protecting his leg with the Buffalo hide he is using while making the axe buddy.
Yup, as mentioned he was referring to the hide he put over his leg
These videos are really fucking dope, especially seeing the way he shapes the flint into exactly what he wants. Skillful
And we shall all return back to that axe one day.. awesome !
here we are again, an other video that makes me feel good to watch, i love all your vids ♥️
Can you make a set of tools from scratch you find in the woods/survival setting without bringing anything besides the clothes on your back.
That’s what he does in every video. I’ve never seen him make anything with modern tools.
@@SideBerner I know he's not using mondern tools, but he uses tools he's already made/have. Im talking from scratch in the middle of nowhere
@@Strong_the_Panda exactly. He would just make more tools lmao
@@mayn90s19 well yes, but from what
@@Strong_the_Panda If you watch his videos he makes all of his tools from scratch. He goes into the woods, finds what he needs and makes them. He’s knocking rocks together and carving sticks and making primitive weapons. That’s the definition of making survival tools from nothing but what you find in the woods.
Who else attempted something similar when they was 6? Just me?
I call dibs on him if there’s ever a zombie apocalypse! 🤣🤣 For real though, this is awesome. I love that there’s people out there doing what our ancestors did. I wish they taught things like this in school. Not just an elective. As an actual course. Keep up the great work! 🤙🏽

So this dude is a genius for reviving this. It does make you wonder what a genius stone mason from a society built around stone could really do with it? Megaliths and such?
Could you make a bone knife? (If you haven’t already) That would be so cool
I'd imagine that bone's better for needles and hooks than for knives, since it's generally tough and on the brittle side, like wood but harder. In terms of ceremonial purposes though, a bone knife would be a great show of craftsmanship.
you play rust?
@@firstletterofthealphabet7308 I was thinking more as a show piece than a practical knife tbh
if he doesnt do it in primitive technology idea near the end of the 365 days video he finds a femur and makes a bone knife, dont wanna be someone who promotes other people's channels so not gonna post a link, sorry
@@MihailBoi378 I've gotta say most of those primitive technology ripoff channels probably aren't honest about their primitive technology shit, but that video in particular seems pretty legit.

Are you aiming for the little ledges of layers that stick out? Some breaks seem to be percussive in nature. I'd love to hear a short instructional video. This is about the only thing I haven't gotten down yet.
I'm curious about that too. Yeah, on the larger breaks, it looks like he is pushing the two stones together pretty hard, then hits the bottom one. Right?
@@bradpeppers1364 yeah, is kind of confusing; what I'm most curious about is when he appears to press the small stone down, and then almost uses a percussive wave with the larger one to break the smaller one, without ever actually touching them together in any way. I really want to know this answer. It's going to drive me nuts 😅
Okay, here's the deal: if you ever look at where a window has been shot with a BB gun, you will see that it knocks out a cone of glass on the inside. That cone is it exactly a 100° angle, so when you hit crystalline material, the energy propagates through it at that angle. That's why flintknappers use specifically shaped hammer stones and antler butts to hit the edge of the rock at a very specific spot at a very specific angle.
@@slappy8941 so is he actually hitting the very tiny edges, or is this utilizing percussion? I'm burning with curiosity 😊
@@bradpeppers1364 he's smakacking the shit out of that rock everytime, a youtuber called how to make everything has made a pretty detailed video on how to do this if you're interested. The act itself is called spalling or knapping and usually associated with flint due to its popularity when this method was widely used.
Looks cool and all but that head is really big, looks a little unwieldy compared to neolithic stone axes.
It's just for looks; it would shatter the first time he tried to use it, or the head would simply break off from the handle.
Still , I don't think Id want to be smacked with it .
@@slappy8941 Or...
The head would simply fly off his opponent .
