- Welcome back to Unlockable Character! I am extremely pleased to share the secret that I have been talking about for weeks - my 2025 BMW M4 Competition xDrive has finally arrived! This car took 5 months to get to the dealership, but it was worth the wait! The car is painted in BMW individual frozen black. The interior is full fiona red with the carbon bucket seats. The car is also optioned with the carbon ceramic brakes and the carbon interior trim!

Your old M4 looks better. No hate, just honest opinions coming from a G82 Xdrive Comp and 992 GTS owner. Hate the LCI headlights, seen em in person and decided to keep my 23' M4.

Love the CSL rear lights and flat bottom steering wheel. Not a fan of the new headlights. Excellent choice staying away from alcantara steering wheel. Impossible to keep clean. Beautiful spec brother. Enjoy in good health.

Beautiful car. All blacked out is always safe and great option. I test drove yellow g82 few days ago and I fcking lowed it but the bank didn't approve the financing which sucks. I am looking for an rs5 or m2 now, similar power and price.

From order to delivery it was 5 months on this car! It takes about 4-6 extra weeks for an individual color order!

New one in frozen black with red interior is very nice, but in my opinion(please don't be offended), there is no comparison with Isle of man green with orange interior. Curvatures are simply much more visible and better with green or portimao blue or some other individual colour. Easier to clean, great on bad wetter. Stains on frozen colors are terrible for me, very hard to clean. I had similar decision to make, and I send to 10 friends different configurations and real pictures from net, and 8 from 10 friends has the same opinion about this - green+ orange,, 1 for portimao blue but there is no great interior color to match(just black, silverstone is hard to mantain), 1 had green+black, non has chosen frozen black and grey. But it is great that you like it and I understand that any colour that is perfect will be boring in few months, so change is inevitable. I would do the same when changing to similar car, but maybe to some other special color that is easier to mantain and that hase more curvature presence on cloudy wetter.
Is there any difference in feeling power comparing to old one? And difference in suspension?

Nice spec. However, I fail to see the allure of CC brakes besides caliper color. Rotor replacement costs are astronomical when compared to steel. Performance differences are nominal until the CCs get hot. If CCs were advantageous, I think you would see them used more in IMSA, WEC, etc.
The rotors and pads will outlast the steel brakes, there’s little to no dust, and I wanted the gold caliper color. It’s not a money thing for me. You’re thinking too deeply about it.
There’s also a massive advantage in unsprung mass.
did you like IOM green? thinking of picking one up, and also do you think the idrive8 is worth the 6-10k more they are used?
I absolutely loved Isle of Man green. I think it’s the signature color for the G80 generation like Yadi’s Marina blue was for the F80! I would rank iDrive 7 as better than iDrive 8. And I would rank iDrive 8.5 as the best overall. Honestly buying a certified pre owned 2022 M3 or M4 xDrive with iDrive 7 would be a great move!
I just placed my order for the 2025 BMW M4 competition in Frozen Deep Green.. Super excited to take delivery in about 4 months. I have an excellent PPF installers here in the Phx Az area that i've used for other cars. What did you end up paying for that service there? Of course ceramic coating over the PPF is a must..Love the channel and content..
Thank you for the congrats and congrats on your order! The pricing I get is different because I have supported my good friend’s business for a long time. I would expect to pay 6-7k on the PPF and another 500 for ceramic coating!

Just doing satin ppf is a great choice. I have never ordered an individual car before and I really wanted the chance to have an actual frozen black M4 so I jumped on the chance!

Ive seen the m3 lci just came out, when do you think I will be able to spec one out and how long will it take to get to me? I miss my G80 and I will only get another one if I spec if out fully.
I believe the July allocations went out last week for the first builds of the ‘25 LCI G80. You should be able to call dealers and get on the waitlist for the August allocations!

@@Unlockable.Character Thanks and congrats on the new spec! so roughly ~$28k depreciation in a year (if I remember correctly the isle of man green was $113k MSRP). Follow up question.. why did you get PPF/Ceramic coating if it was a lease and you were going to trade it in a year?
@@SinaTaghizadeh-e4z I was able to get 6% off the msrp of the old car and the new car. The PPF and ceramic coating was for peace of mind and to make cleaning the car a breeze! Also, I intended on buying out the lease of the 2024 before I saw the LCI.

You have to request it with your dealership once you get an allocation. It’s considered a BMW individual paint.
How many miles did you put on the 2024 M4? The 2025 looks great can't wait to see how it looks after the PPF install.

Never seen the channel before and this just popped up on my feed. Was there something wrong with the '24 you had? Typically, with modifications the depreciation is insane trading in a vehicle to a main dealer. Seems like it would be a HUGE loss of money trading in a 1 year old modded G82 Comp xDrive just to get the LCI.
Couldn't you just retrofit the new vents, taillights, headlights, and get an even better steering wheel for way cheaper than trading in the car?
I went from an '18 F82 to a '22 8Y RS3 and now I'm trying to get an allocation for the '25 8.5Y coming this year in the same Kyalami Green exterior with matching interior I have now. But I feel like the RS3 situation is a little different because 8Y RS3's hold value like a rock bolted down to the ground. So I'll only lose $5k to get a 3 year newer car with a completely refreshed exterior.
Don't take offense please. I'm genuinely tryna understand if there was something in the LCI G82 I'm unaware of? Did the dealer give you a deal you couldn't resist and begged for your '24 back? Was there a mechanical issue? I feel like the Isle of Man green and Kyalami Orange buckets is the #1 most sought after combo. This whole situation just seems odd to me is all. 😂
There was nothing wrong with the '24, but I had already put almost 30,000 miles on it within one year and I was leasing it. I was able to get a good discount off the msrp of that car and my new car, and I went ahead and purchased the LCI so that I don't have to worry about the miles.
Also, I really wanted the opportunity to order a BMW individual paint color car - and I'm in love with the frozen black over fiona red combo!

yes but it'll be a hassle to maintain it at the dealership - some dealers offer tunes tho, like the Carbahn tune

They didn't care about it having xHP! When the dealership updates the car software, the xHP flash gets wiped anyway!
I can't justify trading in my 2022 G82 Xdrive, which I financed at under 2% with BMW, given my credit score of over 800. With new rates over 5%, it just doesn't make sense for me. just switch out the taillights and get a jb4, no reason to get a new car when its the exact same car
I'd definitely recommend a full tune over the JB4. There are also aftermarket taillights that replicate the look of the OEM laser taillights while costing like $700 instead of $7000.
I swapped out cars because I wanted an individual paint (frozen black) and I bought this car while I was leasing the previous car. I no longer have to worry about the miles I put on it!

Anything after summer of 2020 has a locked ecu. It’s tunable but you have to send it out

Does the color worth it if you’re getting a satin ppf?
Yes satin PPF will never perfectly replicate OEM frozen black, and for me, it’s a personal feel good thing to be able to custom order and own an individual bmw paint car!
