    Thank you so much for these ways to get help choosing the best colours for a project. I have wasted too much time, wavering over what colour combinations I like best, for specific projects.

    Another nice option on Ravelry is under stash there a tab for buy sell or trade. You can see any one has the out stock in their stash to sell. I know it’s a bit scary to buy from a private seller but PayPal is a good tool. I have had great success with this tool. Crafters are a breed apart for the public. I enjoy your videos very much. Oh and also another thing, 😊 when comparing yarn brands, consider fiber content.

    • @EliseRoseCrochet
      @EliseRoseCrochet  3 года назад

      Now that is a great tip!! And you're right, crafters are generally very trustworthy folk! 🧶🧶🧶

    Very timely video! I never purchase yarn online because I have to feel it and compare colors in person. As a full-time crochet blogger/RUclipsr I have found it necessary to go to stores for my supplies during the pandemic. Grocery shopping once a month and yarn shopping are my only forays out. In order to be able to run in and run out as quickly and efficiently as possible, I go online to the stores' sites to see what is available and might work for my project. But I had no idea we could drill down and compare this much. Thank you for these tips! This is so helpful.

    I bought your Three Little Pigs pattern and, of course, I want to duplicate the yarn you used exactly. BUT, when I go to Lovecraft so many of their colors are out of stock so I end up trying to buy what I need from different sources so I'm paying a freaking fortune on shipping. I would love it if someone would put together a kit with all the yarn needed to make the project.

    Hi, I’m having a problem finding something comparable to your Debbie Bliss yarn in Canada. We are in lockdown and can’t go into stores to compare and I’m a little nervous about ordering and getting the wrong thing. Do you have any advise for a substitute for the Debbie Bliss?
    Thanks.

    • @EliseRoseCrochet

      I personally don't have any experience with substituting the Debbie Bliss yarn. But, this is a really good article on how to substitute yarns: www.craftsy.com/post/how-to-substitute-yarn/#
      Hope that helps! And if you find one you love, let me know!

    It’s kinda funny cuz I’m kinda surprised your mom is in her 70s and I was like “but aren’t you my moms age?” But then I remembered a couple generations ago it was more common to have kids at 18-23 than like 15 (my mom and her mom are only 15-16 years apart but my fathers mom had him at 19 so 🤷‍♂️ idk I feel kinda stupid 😂)
