@@KirscheVerstahl honestly i'm surprised it didn't catch on more with the implication that women couldn't succeed without handouts while also apparently being the backbone of the industry, with an amount you point to, that doesn't really make up a whole lot of product, would've been an easy target given how out of touch it seemed, but hey, marketing / hr teams proving to the world once again, they don't work
Kirsche, you know as well as I do, the majority of the "sexist" complaints about the past, come from two points 1) They're "conventionally" attractive, thus there must be something bad afoot that forced them to be this way (women always the victim) and 2) The past is always inferior, and doesn't compare to the ethics and intelligence of those of today, so today must always be better, regardless of again, whose choice it was to dress like that
Pretty much this. Too many of these wackos seem to have some superiority complex that they're totally enlightened individuals and the past deserves to be left behind...... while completely overlooking that a good portion of the past was based around simple human instincts, which is not something that can be gotten rid of so easily. But hey, these same people seem to think that men can get pregnant and it's possible for them to be a dragonkin so long as they "identify" as one, so completely rewriting reproductive nature must be no problem in their warped minds.
"Alienating women from beer" is sexist indeed, and I'm glad they are now also alienating men from beer. Men shouldn't have to suffer beer, let alone Miller.
Ah! Yes, I remember this ad campaign. It's funny, the minute everyone noticed what Miller was doing (or planning on doing) the ad was immediately taken down and scrubbed. Now, keen eyed and sharp minded people might ask "why would they abandon their cause so quickly? Are they not confident in what they are saying?" And that's just it. No, they aren't. Because the ad and all others like it are not genuine. It's a grift, in the truest and most definition-accurate sense of the word. They are selling you a lie to profit off you. Miller never cared about women, or female brewers or "sexist advertising." It was all just a way of getting you to buy their shitty beer (pun intended.)
Beer ads were always garbage. No amount of politic correcting will help that. And also who the hell told them that women were alienated by beer ads? No one cares about dumb beer ads. Never stopped women from getting piss drunk on stagnant piss water! And who the hell actively stops women from brewing? No one, is who. This is the worst kind of dumb…
26:10 unfortunately kirsche, you've got a group of younger people being coached on the iidea they need to only associate with reputable brands or something, whether or not they listen, the dogma is still there, as you yourself keep proving
And then she immediately goes from that, to saying "Women were the ones doing the brewing" and calling them "the founding mothers of beer". So the implication goes from "they were participatory members" to "they were exclusively the original inventors". As always, these people just love to slip in weasel words to try and get their made-up points across.
I remember hearing about this 'campaign' a while back, though can't remember where, and they pointed out that the commercial mentions not only sending in your own stuff, but also looking through your parents' and relatives' stuff to steal the old beer memorabilia and send it to miller to be destroyed. Also the blatant rewriting of history
I can only speak for my own country, but yeah.. Back in ye olden days, it was pretty common that women where the ones brewing, since the men where out doing the hard outdoors work. But this is back in the days where brewing of beers where done on farms, by the women in the household and basically on any farm you could find, they'd have a brew. Things are a bit different today, where it's either big factories or micro breweries.. Doesn't mean that women, in general, was kicked out of the breweries.. It means that women selected other types of jobs of their own volition.. Which is the most damning thing about the Feminist movement.. They lack the capacity to see that women are capabebly of making a decision on their own.
Maybe if Miller took the money this marketing campaign cost and invested it into buying quality ingredietns for their terrible beer, it would make their beer actually palatable.
Or they could just stick to what they’ve done successfully for decades. Selling us domestic, mass produced piss water without any preaching. Maybe have some attractive women in bikinis or sexy dresses in the commercials.
As a trained media-designer, specifically for billboard- and packaging-advertisment, seeing someone turn actually well done vintage add-campaign posters into mush, makes me quite angry. I am 99% sure that a lot of collectors would be fuming as well.
I didn’t catch that they were buying up old physical advertisement materials, for some reason I thought they were printing all these posters off to destroy as promo. Makes me wonder how much they spent on destroying history
I do remember this. They back tracked as both sides went after them. Turns out cardboard bullshit is horrible for the environment and people hated the adds. I believe that the person in charge was let go as well.
Theres an ad out for modelo that hits the obvious Dei points by showing 3 latina women installing a car engine despite there basically being almost zero women in that work space. It kills the message of the advertisment by being so distractingly inaccurate.
I have a feeling it only flew under the radar because nobody drinks this trash.... I haven't seen anyone irl have anything other than bud, corona, cors light, local brew, craft, or wine since like 2006....

The thing that annoys me the most about Miller commercial is the censored swearing. If you go out of your way to advertise with naughty words, at least follow through with it. Especially if you're using such weak ass swear words.
No one wants to say it because they'll be labelled a sexist if they do, but seeing as I'm a guy and I know people like her already think I'm sexist anyway... Can we just be honest and admit that the reason she's upset is because she's aware of how guys look at those girls in the adverts and how they don't look at her like that while she wants them to? It's always got something to do with jealousy when it's this, they can scream sexist however loud they want, it doesn't matter what they say, their viewpoints come from a place of "I wish that was me" and seeing as they can't get to that point because they don't want to put the effort in, they decide to call it and the people who like it very horrible names.
I never see ads unless I want to see ads. And the places I allow to feed me ads won't feed me Miller ads. So there is literally no way I could have seen it.
I already knew about the ad because it’sagundam went over it I believe around the time it came out but he didn’t go over the website so i didn’t know about that.
The funniest thing about the commercial (the pride one) is that they hilariously imply that workers are trained to try and identify people in the alphabet community. Ergo, they are trained to judge a book by its cover.
I remember the budlight boycott. People kept buying the other major brands without without this problem is across the board. They should’ve stopped buying the major brands or just stop drinking for awhile.
Yeah for the most part women don't drink beer. 80s had women drinking wine coolers...late 90s brought on Zima...currently women are drinking the flavored hard seltzer like White Claw. Beer companies will never have a large demographic of female drinkers regardless of the quality of the product.
I think itd be interesting to drink a beer that recognizes me. It implies its magically sentient and maybe a riencarnation of a beer I drank previously.
I remember this and it didn't slip under my radar. It's still crazy to me how someone can end up being a high ranking executive at a company you despise and despise the customer base of. This happens all the time in the video game and comic book industry, as well. The lack of self awareness is astounding.
I’m so glad foxu mentioned what I was thinking: how does the brand being ‘supportive’ make the bars they sell to, or the other patrons at the bar, stop from being homophobic or transphobic or any other kind of -ist or -phobe. I don't think anyone cares enough to do it, but I'd be surprised if beach themed ads with women in bikinis were more than 30% of beer ads post 1990. It's actually very consistent, they always do what they either think will give them power over men or what they think will hurt men out of spite, every single thing they've pushed for since the beginning has always been about one or both of those things and explains the chronic flip flopping and hypocrisy.
feminists bringing about the prohibition? the very same prohibition from which LITERALLY NOTHING GOOD except for mobster stereotypes and tropes came from?
those old ads where a part of history
people really cheering the bookburning and calling it just
"Women were among the first to brew beer"
"Without women there would be no beer"
These two statements are contradictory, Miller.
Contradictory and untrue.
As if "women" were a separate civilization or something lol
Maybe they mean that without (ugly) women we wouldn't drink beer.
Women were some of the first people to get aids. Without women there'd be no aids.
This is how stupid they sound.
God imagine how good the Scotts would have it If women never created their poison.
Cursing in an advertisement to pretend you sound important is like a Gen Zer putting "lol" at the end of every comment, thinking you've won the argument.
"What is the barrier"
In my experience, nature.
this ad, translated from corpo speak to regular english:
"dear women, shall we burn the books together?"
1000 lbs of hops given to 200 people means 5 lbs of hops per person. I’m no brewer, buts that’s not a lot of hops, Google says that 5 lbs of hops should make 25 gallons of IPA beer.
This isn’t a real campaign, it’s just performative
Yeah, but IPA use hops to mask terrible brewing, so maybe they could make it stretch a bit more.
ah I remember this one, I wouldn't quite say unnoticed, but people definitely weren't as vocal about it
the way the woman rolls through it and what she decides to say was exceedingly inflammatory
ye, Bud Light had just dominated the news cycle at the time
@@KirscheVerstahl honestly i'm surprised it didn't catch on more with the implication that women couldn't succeed without handouts while also apparently being the backbone of the industry, with an amount you point to, that doesn't really make up a whole lot of product, would've been an easy target given how out of touch it seemed, but hey, marketing / hr teams proving to the world once again, they don't work
Kirsche, you know as well as I do, the majority of the "sexist" complaints about the past, come from two points
1) They're "conventionally" attractive, thus there must be something bad afoot that forced them to be this way (women always the victim)
and 2) The past is always inferior, and doesn't compare to the ethics and intelligence of those of today, so today must always be better, regardless of again, whose choice it was to dress like that
Pretty much this.
Men shouldn't have to suffer beer, let alone Miller.
ah yes its soo gonna work hiring a bunch of frumpy karens screeching at you like a harpy to buy beer
Ah! Yes, I remember this ad campaign. It's funny, the minute everyone noticed what Miller was doing (or planning on doing) the ad was immediately taken down and scrubbed. Now, keen eyed and sharp minded people might ask "why would they abandon their cause so quickly? Are they not confident in what they are saying?"
And that's just it.
Budweiser ads used to be famously good.
Homebrew nation rise up!
26:10 unfortunately kirsche, you've got a group of younger people being coached on the iidea they need to only associate with reputable brands or something, whether or not they listen, the dogma is still there, as you yourself keep proving
"Women were among the very first to brew beer", I mean technically true, if the only ones that beat them to it were men, second place is great....
And then she immediately goes from that, to saying "Women were the ones doing the brewing" and calling them "the founding mothers of beer". So the implication goes from "they were participatory members" to "they were exclusively the original inventors". As always, these people just love to slip in weasel words to try and get their made-up points across.
They didn't need donations, Miller just wanted an excuse to give women brewers shit and be thanked for it😂
I remember hearing about this 'campaign' a while back, though can't remember where, and they pointed out that the commercial mentions not only sending in your own stuff, but also looking through your parents' and relatives' stuff to steal the old beer memorabilia and send it to miller to be destroyed. Also the blatant rewriting of history
This ad pissed my off the most. Im glad they don't sponsor Milwaukee Brewers home field anymore
Back in the olden days brewing beer was an everyday thing that everyone did so lots of women were the main brewers of their households.
Founding Mothers? Modern beer was predominately brewed by clergy. Someone square that circle for them.
Wolverine invented beer when he got sent back in time.
I do remember this. They back tracked as both sides went after them.
Turns out cardboard bullshit is horrible for the environment and people hated the adds. I believe that the person in charge was let go as well.
Cardboard is very environment friendly, printing colors are toxic.
@@SvenHeidemann-uo2yl thank you for the information

Homebrewing got gayed up during the chinese virus scare.
Theres an ad out for modelo that hits the obvious Dei points by showing 3 latina women installing a car engine despite there basically being almost zero women in that work space. It kills the message of the advertisment by being so distractingly inaccurate.
I remember. The buy bag program was just as pathetic as those gun buy back ones.
I have a feeling it only flew under the radar because nobody drinks this trash.... I haven't seen anyone irl have anything other than bud, corona, cors light, local brew, craft, or wine since like 2006....
I'm not buying miller or bud because like all light beers its just watered down piss
"women were the first to brew beer"
and here i thought the first drunk man in history was Noah after the ark
@simonbelmont1986
I see what you did there.
As someone who has a low tolerance for anything bitter and frequently describes beer as tasting like a$$, them describing themselves as "new sh!t" is more apt than they realize.
Given how much effort the women in those advertisements put into looking so good it’s really disrespectful to not appreciate them for it.
Printing colors are toxic. So they going to donate toxic hops. Stunning and brave indeed.
The brand recognizes you by fitting your taste.
These ads were part of history, they literally turned history into shit.
Yes, they are ads, but they are still telling how society evolved.
Devolved
I paid attention, but I don't drink pißwater. You can't boycott something you don't drink.
if i try to brew my own beer, i would end up as kingcobrajfs
I'm so glad to see the VRoid model back. I know the new model is nice and all but this just feels like the most authentic Kirsche experience
Funnily enough, Im pretty sure that brewing beer in antiquity was considered a womans job....then all the kitchen hating started...
I remember laughing at this crap when it was new...I'm still laughing.
Miller Lite ad was like entire year before Dylan Mulvany. People just forgot about it. And ad was replayed after the bud light boycott.
I think there's a lesson to be learned here about treating these people like they're sane, rational human beings and not just agitators trying to stir up trouble for money and lulz.
All I heard when they said that they're going to start shredding old beer ads with the tiggle bitties is my collection is not worth a lot and I need to go and start buying more
kirsche! I'm only discovering you just now, so I lose massive points for that. but, damn! You are so underrated and under appreciated.
Getting to know you, ranging from "worm rapings" That do U turns inside your urethra, to Sound boards That are impossible to listen to while eating or drinking anything. Some honorable mentions include suck my toes, Which, If you know you know. I just wish I still smoked weed So I could laugh even harder at your superb humor, But it's totally not needed. You are a superstar!
I don't know if you sold your soul to the devil, but if you did, it was worth it. Whoever said women aren't funny, clearly has never met you. Don't ever lose your comfortability with your sexuality, It's one of your greatest aspects of charm that I love. Also being able to poke fun at yourself. The wist watch had me dying. Eat your heart out other v tubers! kirsche, Is the undisputed, Heavyweight champion of comedy! Anyone who says otherwise is jealous. Definitely my new favorite hangout. you rock, so hard!
I don't think she sold out to the Prince of the Power of the Air. She certainly wouldn't be exposing the WEF's agendas if she did - one does not cast out demons with the power of Beelzebub.
One does not cast out demons by the power of Beelzebub, and Kirsche does an awful lot of noticing WEFfy demons.
The thing that annoys me the most about Miller commercial is the censored swearing. If you go out of your way to advertise with naughty words, at least follow through with it. Especially if you're using such weak ass swear words.
Corporate edginess™️
While you can indeed compost paper and cardboard, please don't use composted shiny prints for growing food stuffs....
Thank you for stream. Very cool.
They succeeded in making me never buy another Miller brand beer ever again since that ad. I'd noticed it.
It's crazy how hard the rainbowmafia and their supporters make it to _not_ hate them
I already knew about the ad because it’sagundam went over it I believe around the time it came out but he didn’t go over the website so i didn’t know about that.
Officially found my literal favorite vtuber now 🤣.
The funniest thing about the commercial (the pride one) is that they hilariously imply that workers are trained to try and identify people in the alphabet community. Ergo, they are trained to judge a book by its cover.
Buying up old advertising pieces and destroying them is so dystopian
If finding a character or beer that gets me was my major concern I count that as a miraculous day.
1:38 NO! You misogyny bigit! 🤣
16:46 Oh, yeah. Lemme hear dat sweet keyboard clickety clack!
Detective Foxu on the case 👀🔍
I think itd be interesting to drink a beer that recognizes me. It implies its magically sentient and maybe a riencarnation of a beer I drank previously.
I remember this and it didn't slip under my radar. It's still crazy to me how someone can end up being a high ranking executive at a company you despise and despise the customer base of. This happens all the time in the video game and comic book industry, as well. The lack of self awareness is astounding.
To be fair, Miller lite tends to go unnoticed at the liquor store.
i cant even look at this ad i am sorry beutiful fox lady but i will like your video for you
I guess it should be called Miller lite in the loafers.
American beer truly is pisswater. European beer however is much better.
Other than a few exceptions (mainly from Britain 😂), yes, good beer isn't pisswater. In fact, I'd say it tastes nicer than all the fruity shit

I’m so glad foxu mentioned what I was thinking: how does the brand being ‘supportive’ make the bars they sell to, or the other patrons at the bar, stop from being homophobic or transphobic or any other kind of -ist or -phobe. It’s such hilarious virtue signaling that all the people praising it refuse to see 😂
I remember this bogus bs. It got memory holed so fast though. 😅
I will watch this later. I'm leaving this comment because people should watch you Kirsche!
5:12 - "WORM POOP"
I don't think anyone cares enough to do it, but I'd be surprised if beach themed ads with women in bikinis were more than 30% of beer ads post 1990. Maybe it was a lot more in the 80s and 70s, but what I remember from beer ads was Less Filling/Tastes Great, the Bud frogs, Wazzup, Real Men of Genius, shit like that.
Recently I saw super work ad of Pepsi and their all black cast of Roman gladiators. Drinking Pepsi and looking like singers.
" complete nonsense... besides I made whiskey" George Washington... probably...
