Actors E.G. Marshall, Harry Morgan, Art Baker, Jack Gardan, Jerzy Kaliszewski, Robert Vaughn, James Whitmore, Ed Flanders, Gary Sinise, David Patrick Kelly, Kerry Shale, and Christian Rodska have all portrayed President Harry S. Truman. Though I haven't seen some of the performances, I think that E.G. Marshall, Harry Morgan, Robert Vaughn, James Whitmore, Ed Flanders, and Gary Sinise have done the best job portraying President Harry S. Truman. Thanks For Uploading This Performance!!!!! ❤

One of the greatest performances ever. I am a die-hard conservative republican, and Harry Truman is one of my heroes.

Mr. Whitmore did a super job of Harry S. Truman. I thought I was witnessing the 2nd coming of Harry. Fantastic job of getting the mannerisms and the look just soo close to the image of Harry. He was my first president, as I was born in 1948. Very good research was done to put on such an entertaining show. I've always enjoyed James Whitmore as a greater actor. I'm glad I got to experience his performances on the stage in the movies.

I was 13 when I first saw this and it had a profound effect on me. I found a double album of the entire performance and listened to it with my parents/grandparents often.

I remember seeing this on HBO back in 1975. James Whitmore did a fantastic job. I don’t know whether this was intended as an impersonation or more of a lighthearted impression of President Truman. Regardless, it was very entertaining.

Whitmore was a fine actor. Try to find his other one-man act, "Will Rogers, U.S.A." Even better.

It is so much for a new deal Trumen into a self-reliance deal that you would not produce.

Was James Whitmore other than great in anything. I've seen him in no end of performances including a, what might be called minor motivation film when I worked for IBM, all of us were stunned by the performance. and there were a couple of minutes needed before we could comment. His singing voice in this was not as good as Oklahoma or Kiss Me Kate.
