I live 10 minutes away from this park and went there early November. Rode Shredder twice, it’s a decent spinner, then rode Timmy’s, also...fine. Then I rode that Spongebob spinning thing, whatever it’s called, and then rode Shellraiser and Sandy’s. I’ll tell you that those rides are amazing. Shellraiser wasn’t as rough as I anticipated, and then rode Sandy’s, which was the most forceful coaster in the park. Prefer Shellraiser, but Sandys is great.
I went in April 2021 and it was way too crowded. I only rode Bronco and TMNT and I was too sick after that to ride more. They were epic rides but the overall experience was not great, and I think the fact that it's an indoor park had something to do with the fact that I had more motion sickness than usual.
I have to agree with slime streak. The trains seemed run down, the restraints were bad, and there was 1 train, and 1 worker, so the capacity was horrible. My friend's restraint got stuck after the ride, and the worker had to straight up shake the train to release it. So Slime Streak was pretty bad.
Just went to this park with some friends from my coaster site (We Were Inverted). I waited to go since Sandy's wasn't open. Then of course, Covid. We went on a Thursday. All rides were walk ons with lots of re-rides. Got in a lot rides for our $60. I couldn't imagine going on a weekend for $85 and only being allowed to stay for 4 hours. Was it like that when you went too? As for coasters, this is how I ranked them: Sandy's, Shellraiser, Slimestreak (don't judge), Shredder, Timmy's. Spinning coasters to me are a little meh, especially the half pipe one there. I think disc-o flat rides are better. Kraang was amazing and we also liked the Atom Smasher.
I went pre pandemic so I was able to spend the whole day there. From a crowd standpoint it wasn't too bad but it was an operational nightmare. Rides were constantly breaking down, slime streak and shellraiser weren't open when I got there and sandys and Timmy's tested the entire day. I had a decent experience but might have for once had a better experience during covid...
My visit back in May was also kinda meh.. Ropescourse, Blastinc Bronco, Slime Streak and Skyline Scream already closed on arrival. Got 3 rides in a row on Shellraiser then went on to Shredder. Got two Rides, got back to TMNT and it was closed and I was told, it wasn´t gonna reopen for that day... Then got on the halfpipe. Also a meh ride with some sideways floater. Then got on Kraang and the break system failed in the middle of the ride. So it just swung for about 15 mins. till it got to a stop. My restraints were VERY tight because it was my first time on a pendular ride.. That one got closed for the day too. I got two more rides on Shredder went on the halfpipe once more and tried out the Zamperla Skyfly or how whatever it is... Also a meh ride. One ride on the Atom Smasher and I decided to call it a day. Prices at the Park were ok. I payed 40$ for a day-ticket which is actually quite cheap for the park. Went there on a weekday so there were no queues at all. I´m gonna visit the park again on october but from my one visit till now, I think the park is hot garbage. Most rides are meh or closed. Except Shellraiser. I wouldnt really recommend it... Great Video though!
If Nickelodeon Universe wanted to, they could have requested a second train. With the same exact layout, they could have 2 trains with 3 blocks (Station, Lift, and Brake 1)
omg i went here the lines were LONG and yeah slime streak was not worth it i had to wait ages for it but i think the kraang thingy was my favorite out of all the rides. ur review was so detailed omfg it reminds me of the dr pepper thingy (except without the random input of balls)
It doesn't look like a full day park. I'd say you could either spend a few hours here and pair it with some of the other attractions in the mall like the Sea Life Aquarium and the mini golf courses, or you could get a Twilight Pass and come here for the remaining hours of the day after spending a whole day at the DreamWorks Waterpark next door. All I can say is that I live near the original Nickelodeon Universe at Mall of America in Minnesota, so you can bet I'll be coming here one year to compare the two with each other and see which one really is better.
I would say it's unfair to compare this park to Darien Lake but that's because I had a downright horrible experience at Darien Lake with a man threateningly whipping a knife out in line for Viper, and the operator forcing me to stay behind to tell security what I saw, ruining the discreteness. The knife man stalked me the rest of the day.
In the front slime streak gives like...some floater. Weak floater, but still floater Also idk why you included kennywood in that list because that shit is like 5 hours away from nickelodeon
The line up isn't bad but the park is WAY over priced. If it was $60 it would be a decent park but $80 is ridiculous that's what Dollywood charges for their admission.
Ima guess the major reason no one likes it is because they have zero theming. its as if they tried but decided to just put it in a boxed out warehouse with no colors just plain white walls. Nor is it very good
Frankly, I think that the Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream and every ride in it is ass and mid except one ride. And that ride is Kraang Prime Pandemonium. Yep. A Fricking pendulum ride is better than all the rides at Nickelodeon Universe at American Dream. A fricking pendulum ride.

I’m really glad Nickelodeon Universe in MN has the skylights, they add a ton to the atmosphere.
The skylights are so much better then the windows. They make the park feel a lot more lively

I went here after Bronco opened, and that ride alone bumps it up to a 7/10. If you like forceful launches, then holy hell this is right up your alley.
Sandy's looks good enough to warrant another visit for me. I just gotta wait until this virus is done with before I go to an indoor amusement park.

All the way down to the entrance for it which if you've been there, you'll know there are quite a few switch backs to get there

Even as a family coaster it was a little uneventful for my liking. I dont hate it, but there are much better family coasters out there
