My Preppys are all eyedropper and they're always burping, despite the silicone grease I carefully apply and reapply. I prefer converters or cartridges, but the latter is so much easier to clean out. So I fill cartridges for my Kaweco Sport and Perkeo. They're right now my fave writers ❤
they dont leak but use an o ring or teflon tape (like i did) to ensure it doesnt leak. also with the clear ones ink can seep into the small cracks between the nib unit and the body making it unsightly so just make sure to give them a thorough 24-48 hour soak in water once the ink is empty.
Converter or cartridge. I prefer a converter, as it can be disassembled easier and cleaned easier as well. Also, I never dip my pens, but rather the converter directly. Less smudges, easier to clean.
I tried eyedropping it, the ink slowly seeps through the gap between the grip section and the nib collar. It then comes out from the nib end and makes it inky one tiny drop at a time. The seepage is very slow. I also felt that when eyedropping the nib wrote wetter than normal.
If the Sport is metal, don't attempt to drop ink directly into the barrel. It might cause corrosion in the barrel threads, effectively fusing the pen together so you can't open it again.

Had NO idea you can just put ink into the body of the pen like that! Thanks!
Did you try it? Does it work safely without silicon grease?
@@rekoplayz8728it worked for me!
I found out in eyedroppers ,if you put a bottom less cartridge in the feed, the pen burp a lot less.
It is because it will restrict the ink flow.
Converter. Even tho it is small i like putting different inks and experimenting with it
Exactly, people see it as a con but when you have more inks than you know what to do with it's a good bump to try different things
Same, unless it's a demonstrator. Just a bit more risk with eyedropper and if you can't see it sloshing around, why bother.
I would invest in a rubber "O" ring and silicon grease for eyedropper safety.

Wow I have around 10 kaweco sports and I never knew I could just fill the pen without converter or cartridge. Any leakage problems?

I think you definitely need silicone grease.
If they're eye dropper models, then it's fine. They won't leak

Cartridges, sometimes new ones other times I refill them with bottled ink.
Love the pen & ink 🔥 💚
Converter. I’ve kept my Sport in my front pocket with my car keys for over a year now with no issues.
Converter. The eye dropper method makes me nervous.
Very good pen 🌈
I see no O-rings or other kinds of gaskets how is it not leaking?
Great video!
I'm sticking with the cartridge.
What ink cartridges do you use? I bought a six pack of the Kaweco brand, but they are too long. I can’t screw the pen back together.
@@jessilaine7999 monteverde makes a good short international pack with a bunch of colors to try
I love you all commenters, my pen friends ! We remain a small, elite community 💪
I mainly use a converter and carry a 30 mil bottle of ink. I’ve never eyedroppered a metal/plastic version yet and probably never will.
Great pen for school students
I love the converta ! So far I haven’t tried the cartridge!

You need an o-ring and silicone grease
Oh noooo. I would definitely use an o-ring and silicone grease if dropper filling or else leakage is a real danger.
Nice
Is it a fine or extra fine?
This or lamy ??
Which is better??
Wow 👌
None of my Kaweco zport have leaked but i was worried about staining my bronze one so it has a converter in.
Does filling the chamber also work on the brass and bronze models that you know of?

@@GoldspotPens thank you for the reply!
Does waterman big cartridge fits in?
Nope
J I never would have figured that out without those instructions
*Real? eyedrop?*
I've only tried the converter but it leaked on me. Any recommendations? 🤔
Where do I buy it
