Honestly I think the relationship between Kris and the Player can be much more interesting than just "You bad, Kris good", like if it's almost symbiotic but you still disagree on key points of freedom. E.g: Kris creates a fountain beyond our control to try and change fate while we try the Snowgrave route purely for the smallest change of ending.
Exactly!! They both get along but it's easy to assume they're both frustrated at their situation, with The Player being annoyed their vessel got rejected and they have to play through someone else's life, and Kris being annoyed they have to deal with someone else controlling them. Assuming you don't go Weird Route however, you both still do work together albeit with Kris' occasional acts of rebellion
tbh i feel like this would be flipped in a pacifist route, with Kris trying to help you free YOUR vessel so they can go free, but you can keep "playing". Also it would make your choices matter again because you're not overriding someone else anymore idk lmao also it'd be cool if your vessel kept the name you give it at the very beginning in chapter 1

I honestly love the elements this song incorporates. The song starts of with what I believe to be an original melody, accompanied by the sounds we hear when we first create our vessal. These sounds reappear at different parts throughout the song. Afterwards, we hear part of Rude Buster, which makes sense since this is our battle theme, however, it sounds quite different because it's OUR battle theme. Directly after, it devolves into Megalo Strike Back, referencing the player's obesssion with power. After all, in this scenario we go as far as creating our own vessal for the sake of achieving freedom. Speaking of freedom, the song later incorporates the The World Revolving Leitmotif because we're, similar to Spamton NEO, in a new body, grasping for freedom. Although, WE are the secret boss now. Overall, this song is an absolute 10/10
I see Kris as a Chara analogue like how everyone else has their counterparts from Undertale so I like to see MSB in Kris fan songs it makes my neurons fire
Chara *IS* the player, Toby fucked up in making people think Chara was actually a character and not just his way of saying "you did this" Not helped by the fact that Chara is revealed to as a canonical character in Pacifist, he really dropped the ball on that one.
Yeah Chara never made you do the genocide run the way i see it it should be them confronting you about it instead of saying "partner" it makes them look evil. YOU chose to do the genocide route that is what toby is trying to state in this. you kill all these monsters but what if they had lives of their own? you could end them all the same but would you feel good about it.

Hey, that's a good theory. That the ones not in control and being used are us, would make sense. Since in deltarune OUR actions don't matter, because those adventures were never meant for us. In Snowgrave's route it is we who are desperately trying to make a difference.
@@Ayrton541 I was really shocked when I saw how... easily Kris was able to remove us in Chapter 2. In Chapter 1 I thought, "Oh yeah, we're controlling Kris." But then the birdcage says 'there's no escape' and yet we somehow got out, and Kris put us back in on purpose, and opened a fountain, and then put us in again. And Spamton says 'you think this (snowgrave) will let you drink the freedom sauce? Well you're right!' and I am so terrified and also so here for it.

@@desu38 It may be that the world of Deltarune is the one mentioned by Chara at the end of the genocidal route. "Let's erase this world and move on to the next one." There are some theories explaining about how SOUL may be the same as in Undertale. That would explain the abrupt shape-shifting in Spamton's fight, although there are some small winks as well. For example, they mention that "You'll never find a functional Jukebox." There was also another one about the fair in chapter 1, but I don't remember what it said. Y'know, it'd be funny if Kris didn't actually deal damage to you, but instead actively tried to cut off the strings connecting you to your vessel, and he was able to cut more strings if you beat Spamton Neo because he'd have some practice in string cutting from it, making the Kris bossfight harder if you've beaten Spamton Neo
Imagine if you had the dealmaker equipped before the fight started kris would be able to Shoot using the yellow soul. (Same with PuppetScarf But it does more dmg because Its the murder item)

I think if you did pacifist on all the secret bosses Kris would cut the strings ,but if you "killed" them Kris would attack you if you did a mix or didn't do all the bosses this wouldn't happen and you wouldn't fight Kris.
I like to imagibe depending if you were pacifist or violent, the battle plays oit very differently If you were viioent it will be an extrmely hard battle with each other delaing pwoerful blows If you were pacifist however, the challenge will come because you wont be avle to attack The battle will consist of the Player trying to talk to Kris and reason with them to stop foghting and listen one more time to what you wish to say
In the non-weird routes this feels like Kris kind of reaching a breaking point. While you both do work together and Kris doesn't _hate_ the soul, having your own body ripped from you like that would be maddening, eventually they would have enough and try to end you once and for all. While you're defenseless, your vessel appears to save you, and now you have to fight a Kris who wants control of their life again If you killed/traumatized a majority of the cast this is a final act of rebellion. A way of putting an end to your evil doings, you puppeteer your original vessel when Kris gains the will to finally put an end to you No matter the route, this is the end of Kris' rebellions, either you spare Kris and gain their respect, or you effectively kill Kris' ability to fight back, you're only in control. The end result is the same, just how it's acquired is different (You would also be unable to spare Kris in the second scenario)
Really? I personally think this is an act of rebellion against Kris. After Kris has decided they don’t need you anymore, they throw you into the bunker and leave, but there you gain access to your vessel and go to make peace with Kris (or take revenge on them). Kris is most likely one that interrupted your vessel maker, and forced you to be them, giving them a life of adventure and friendship (or bloodlust and power) while Asriel is gone. After all, since when were you the one in control?

Thinking about it now makes me think this is someone/somthing speaking to Kris without us knowing When the *freedom* is running low and the *controll* start to grow and the places that you know seem like fantasy Theres *freedom* thats still *out of reach* in the cold with the truth the promise in *our souls* don't forget im with *you* in the dark Thats my interpritation because spamton says light is freedom and dark controll or somthing like that and hearts well it's Deltarune the soul is shaped like a heart and the line *don't forget* is used in Sanses lab so mabey Sans lived in the world of Deltarune. Undertale Sans somehow died and Deltarune Sans replaced him without anyone noticing that would make sense with how Sans says I stopped trying to go back a long time ago in his fight and Sans knows things about the surface already. And the machine behind the curtain could be the machine that Sans tried to go back with making Deltarune come before Undertale aswell as being an alternate universe. So Deltarune could end with Kris being freed. And controll growing makes sense because in chapter 1 Kris doesn't controll the team in chapter 2 Kris does and by the end either has full controll or partial controll over Noelle so this sounds like it's building up to somthing big. Toriel is a responsible adult, everyone else in Hometown in general seems to have a grip on things. Besides, it kind of takes away the magic of the Snowgrave Route's ridiculously specific, almost playground-rumor esque design if it just happens again.

Snowgrave concept: in chapter 3 after killing toriel (probably) Kris is so mad that he rips you out and tries to kill you but you form of the vessel to fight back and take full control of his soul. You would only have attack and one spell: DETERMINATION which cost 90 tp and is a full heal. Kris would automatically heal every 3 turns and boosts defence. Kris wouldn't talk during the fight only at the end when he murmurs *No... I can't die... here. Before his soul shatters and you take full control of him.

this has popped up in my head a couple times recently, so i think this is a pretty good battle theme, it uses leitmotifs pretty well and sounds like a DT/UT track.
@@shohelagrani WE are playing as vessel here actually so lets base from it Basically same idea,you just have special ability based on choosen gift,like if you give voice maybe you can try use lullaby on Kris or i dunno And actually based on traits like blood type and etc. Vessel would have different basic stats as HP amount,def,atk and others
Wow this is really good! The concept itself is really interesting,and i think i may be possible at some point in laters chapters,it could fit many scenarios on the plot. And the music here is even better! I like how it starts with the Another Him motif,with some gigays sounds in the backgrounds fits well,then accelerating to procced with Rude Buster,and change to Megalo Strike Back,which i think it is very well implemented since it could represent us as the player,and BOY the drop here is so good here its my favorite part ( 0:52 ),i like how the world revolving here sounds so good and the key changes brings some of extra "emotions" here,and it starts to slow down as the Another Him motif dissipates and ends there. I really like this,amazing!
I’m half convinced that the World Revolving motif that’s also in Big Shot could be considered “The Freedom Motif”, given that’s a consistent theme with both secret bosses. It would also work with Kris perfectly.
Honestly, if a situation like this happened in-game, I'd love for it to have a mechanic where you continually hot-swap between Kris and the Vessel, being able to see each other's attacks on either side, only except Kris's attacks would be slower and more labored compared to the Vessel, who by that point in the game, would've had enough time without you to overcome the lack of a soul.

I got an idea. Your character is the vessel you made, Your name is the name you choosed on chapter 1, and the box's colour is the favourite colour u chose on chapter 1.
* Your items are floating everywhere. * The DevilsKnife and Dealmaker are the two items glowing in the darkness. * Kris is tired of you giving them what they don't want.
I really hope that we can end the story with a more positive relationship with Kris. Allowing Kris to take over and make their own decisions at certain points of the story would be really interesting, especially because the Soul never chose to be put into Kris.
this song feels more like an end-game thing imo, not against kris oddly enough, but more like a "bad guy knight cuts the soul, saves and reloads away from us and kris before downing both susie and ralsei and leaving kris heavily damaged" and this is the soul, now released, fighting solo against an incredibly powerful foe, but with determination and a will to protect everyone, possibly gaining access to the goner vessel we created for the duration, but severely weakened this is how i view this song, fighting tooth and nail for whats right rather than what we want for once, having been separated from kris requiring precision to bring back kris into the fight in order to continue, as he'll die without us and vice versa, max health dropping each turn, but determination pulling us back into the fight just barely each time i believe kris is a good person and neither the player nor kris are bad(excluding the snowgrave) as kris may believe opening the dark fountain is a way to let more people know about them, like undyne who was called, and toriel who is in the home, as well as him believing he can close it quickly and easily if he needs to, by talking like with queen now that susie and the player knows that some don't want to destroy the world kris fighting the player seems like it could lead to more problems and would have to result in a truce, either to avoid losing everyone, themselves or each other

The "You bad. Kris good." is mainly put in consideration on the Weird Route, but other than that, there's absolutely nothing that'd make Kris hate us.

I honestly love the elements this song incorporates.
The song starts of with what I believe to be an original melody, accompanied by the sounds we hear when we first create our vessal. These sounds reappear at different parts throughout the song.
Afterwards, we hear part of Rude Buster, which makes sense since this is our battle theme, however, it sounds quite different because it's OUR battle theme.
Directly after, it devolves into Megalo Strike Back, referencing the player's obesssion with power. After all, in this scenario we go as far as creating our own vessal for the sake of achieving freedom.
Speaking of freedom, the song later incorporates the The World Revolving Leitmotif because we're, similar to Spamton NEO, in a new body, grasping for freedom. Although, WE are the secret boss now.
Overall, this song is an absolute 10/10
try putting ANOTHER HIM at 2x speed and you might be able to find out what the beginning part is

Not helped by the fact that Chara is revealed to as a canonical character in Pacifist, he really dropped the ball on that one.
Yeah Chara never made you do the genocide run the way i see it it should be them confronting you about it instead of saying "partner" it makes them look evil. YOU chose to do the genocide route that is what toby is trying to state in this. you kill all these monsters but what if they had lives of their own? you could end them all the same but would you feel good about it.
After all, Chara is a manifestation of the player

Hey, that's a good theory. That the ones not in control and being used are us, would make sense. Since in deltarune OUR actions don't matter, because those adventures were never meant for us.
In Snowgrave's route it is we who are desperately trying to make a difference.

But then the birdcage says 'there's no escape' and yet we somehow got out, and Kris put us back in on purpose, and opened a fountain, and then put us in again.
And Spamton says 'you think this (snowgrave) will let you drink the freedom sauce? Well you're right!' and I am so terrified and also so here for it.

@@desu38 It may be that the world of Deltarune is the one mentioned by Chara at the end of the genocidal route. "Let's erase this world and move on to the next one." There are some theories explaining about how SOUL may be the same as in Undertale. That would explain the abrupt shape-shifting in Spamton's fight, although there are some small winks as well. For example, they mention that "You'll never find a functional Jukebox." There was also another one about the fair in chapter 1, but I don't remember what it said.

Y'know, it'd be funny if Kris didn't actually deal damage to you, but instead actively tried to cut off the strings connecting you to your vessel, and he was able to cut more strings if you beat Spamton Neo because he'd have some practice in string cutting from it, making the Kris bossfight harder if you've beaten Spamton Neo
Imagine if you had the dealmaker equipped before the fight started kris would be able to Shoot using the yellow soul.

I think if you did pacifist on all the secret bosses Kris would cut the strings ,but if you "killed" them Kris would attack you if you did a mix or didn't do all the bosses this wouldn't happen and you wouldn't fight Kris.

I like to imagibe depending if you were pacifist or violent, the battle plays oit very differently
If you were viioent it will be an extrmely hard battle with each other delaing pwoerful blows
If you were pacifist however, the challenge will come because you wont be avle to attack
The battle will consist of the Player trying to talk to Kris and reason with them to stop foghting and listen one more time to what you wish to say

In the non-weird routes this feels like Kris kind of reaching a breaking point. While you both do work together and Kris doesn't _hate_ the soul, having your own body ripped from you like that would be maddening, eventually they would have enough and try to end you once and for all. While you're defenseless, your vessel appears to save you, and now you have to fight a Kris who wants control of their life again
If you killed/traumatized a majority of the cast this is a final act of rebellion. A way of putting an end to your evil doings, you puppeteer your original vessel when Kris gains the will to finally put an end to you
No matter the route, this is the end of Kris' rebellions, either you spare Kris and gain their respect, or you effectively kill Kris' ability to fight back, you're only in control. The end result is the same, just how it's acquired is different (You would also be unable to spare Kris in the second scenario)
Really? I personally think this is an act of rebellion against Kris. After Kris has decided they don’t need you anymore, they throw you into the bunker and leave, but there you gain access to your vessel and go to make peace with Kris (or take revenge on them). Kris is most likely one that interrupted your vessel maker, and forced you to be them, giving them a life of adventure and friendship (or bloodlust and power) while Asriel is gone. After all, since when were you the one in control?

Thats my interpritation because spamton says light is freedom and dark controll or somthing like that and hearts well it's Deltarune the soul is shaped like a heart and the line *don't forget* is used in Sanses lab so mabey Sans lived in the world of Deltarune. Undertale Sans somehow died and Deltarune Sans replaced him without anyone noticing that would make sense with how Sans says I stopped trying to go back a long time ago in his fight and Sans knows things about the surface already. And the machine behind the curtain could be the machine that Sans tried to go back with making Deltarune come before Undertale aswell as being an alternate universe. So Deltarune could end with Kris being freed. And controll growing makes sense because in chapter 1 Kris doesn't controll the team in chapter 2 Kris does and by the end either has full controll or partial controll over Noelle so this sounds like it's building up to somthing big.

Toriel is a responsible adult, everyone else in Hometown in general seems to have a grip on things. Besides, it kind of takes away the magic of the Snowgrave Route's ridiculously specific, almost playground-rumor esque design if it just happens again.

Snowgrave concept: in chapter 3 after killing toriel (probably) Kris is so mad that he rips you out and tries to kill you but you form of the vessel to fight back and take full control of his soul. You would only have attack and one spell: DETERMINATION which cost 90 tp and is a full heal. Kris would automatically heal every 3 turns and boosts defence. Kris wouldn't talk during the fight only at the end when he murmurs *No... I can't die... here. Before his soul shatters and you take full control of him.

this has popped up in my head a couple times recently, so i think this is a pretty good battle theme, it uses leitmotifs pretty well and sounds like a DT/UT track.

The concept itself is really interesting,and i think i may be possible at some point in laters chapters,it could fit many scenarios on the plot.
And the music here is even better! I like how it starts with the Another Him motif,with some gigays sounds in the backgrounds fits well,then accelerating to procced with Rude Buster,and change to Megalo Strike Back,which i think it is very well implemented since it could represent us as the player,and BOY the drop here is so good here its my favorite part ( 0:52 ),i like how the world revolving here sounds so good and the key changes brings some of extra "emotions" here,and it starts to slow down as the Another Him motif dissipates and ends there.

I’m half convinced that the World Revolving motif that’s also in Big Shot could be considered “The Freedom Motif”, given that’s a consistent theme with both secret bosses. It would also work with Kris perfectly.
Honestly, if a situation like this happened in-game, I'd love for it to have a mechanic where you continually hot-swap between Kris and the Vessel, being able to see each other's attacks on either side, only except Kris's attacks would be slower and more labored compared to the Vessel, who by that point in the game, would've had enough time without you to overcome the lack of a soul.

I really hope that we can end the story with a more positive relationship with Kris. Allowing Kris to take over and make their own decisions at certain points of the story would be really interesting, especially because the Soul never chose to be put into Kris.

this song feels more like an end-game thing imo, not against kris oddly enough, but more like a "bad guy knight cuts the soul, saves and reloads away from us and kris before downing both susie and ralsei and leaving kris heavily damaged" and this is the soul, now released, fighting solo against an incredibly powerful foe, but with determination and a will to protect everyone, possibly gaining access to the goner vessel we created for the duration, but severely weakened
this is how i view this song, fighting tooth and nail for whats right rather than what we want for once, having been separated from kris requiring precision to bring back kris into the fight in order to continue, as he'll die without us and vice versa, max health dropping each turn, but determination pulling us back into the fight just barely each time
i believe kris is a good person and neither the player nor kris are bad(excluding the snowgrave) as kris may believe opening the dark fountain is a way to let more people know about them, like undyne who was called, and toriel who is in the home, as well as him believing he can close it quickly and easily if he needs to, by talking like with queen now that susie and the player knows that some don't want to destroy the world
kris fighting the player seems like it could lead to more problems and would have to result in a truce, either to avoid losing everyone, themselves or each other
