Cincinnati is my Alma Mater and I love my Bearcats... but to be fair it almost seems as if that game shouldn't count because UCLA was so horrible this year lol
Some conferences do treat BYU as a P5 equivalent for nonconference scheduling rules. The courtesy is obviously not extended to Army, Liberty, UMass, or NMSU.
Nittanyburg 20 I know SEC and ACC considers BYU a P5. I remember it being a big thing back then, that BYU wouldn't count as a P5 non-con for them but then it got reversed a year later by both conferences. Also I believe B12 considers them one too, don't think Pac-12 or B10 considers them one.
I know BYU is this strange middle ground but I’d say they’re closer to P5 with their decent schedules that usually have several PAC teams as well as usually a few other P5 teams.
I think it's weird how the AAC (Big East) was demoted to a G5 conference, back in the BCS days they were an AQ conference. We may be witnessing a similar change to the Pac-12 soon.
As a Troy fan/SotS member, I have to give y'all the benefit of the doubt since this is arguably one of the weakest years for Nebraska in a hell of a long time.
American conference is the best g5 conference. Ucf, south florida, houston , cincinatti, temple, tulane can all compete vs p5 teams. The moutain west after boise state, fresno state and maybe utah state has a major drop off in quality. Houston is already planning going into the big12. Has been in the conversation for the past 5 years. Them and byu are the main targets
@@VLA1234-t2t Nevada, Hawaii, San Diego State, and Wyoming all had 6 wins or more this year as well, there isn't that much of a dropoff till UNLV, San Jose State, and New Mexico
Kyson Channell I think a lot of people consider Notre Dame as a power 5 school because they’re in the ACC for every other sport but I could be completely wrong.
BYU shouldn't be on here They're 100% P5 caliber, look at there schedule they have the 13th best strength of schedule in 2019 and our 2-2 in that stretch as well as the fact that they've won 15 power 5 games since 2011. They are forced to schedule most P5s in the front of there schedule so as a result they don't have as good of a record against P5 teams compared to someone in the G5 conferences that only have 1-2 on the schedule for a year.
Dont really like the whole p5 / g5 thing. It's really Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, WVU, Ohio State, Michigan and then everyone else.
Part 2 coming soon!
@Freeman Allen Except of ND, all independent teams are counted to the G5.
Cincinnati is my Alma Mater and I love my Bearcats... but to be fair it almost seems as if that game shouldn't count because UCLA was so horrible this year lol
Ucf beating Pitt
I thought BYU was considered a P5 independent like Notre Dame?
Well If That's The Case, "Umass And Army" Should Be Considered Power 5...
Nittanyburg 20 yea I wasn’t really sure. I just based it off the fact they play more group of 5 teams than power 5 generally.
@Nittanyburg 20 @Pro Sports Central BYU is not considered P5, only ND is.

Hopefully, VT's losses to ODU and Cincinnati will make the cut for part 2

As a Nebraska fan. That hurts

Same Shayen. It hurts.
The Nevada vs Oregon State was a great game this year that a lot of people didn't watch

BYU beating p5 is not an upset btw
Does That Mean "Umass" Is A Power 5 Team??
BYU and Norte dame are tho
Boonk Gang yea I wasn’t really sure what to consider them. Also I never said these games are upsets.
@@boonkgang3456 Yeah, Umass Is Horrible, XD
Pro Sports Central I meant BYU should be considered a p5 program. I didn’t mean upset
Final score: Houston 45 Arizona 18
I count USF as power 5 and Cincinnati but I guess college football says no
They deserve it but alot teams dont get what they deserve in the FBS so
6:11 Is that a topless woman in the crowd?
Toledo Seahawks yeah lol
Why you gotta troll me like that🤣
Toledo Seahawks that’s Florida weather for you
Toledo Seahawks where
Hoping part 2 has Akron over Northwestern. That was the only good part of our season this year go zips
Notice the majority of these teams are Mountain West + BYU
Ryan Foss That’s not true. There were 3 Mountain West Clips and 1 BYU clip. There were 4 American clips.

Maymoney Mayfield yes they can and they have.

Arkansas had a chance to beat Colorado State and they blew it? 😂
Don’t forget Vinci and by on the next vid. Go Virginia
Cinci..... freakin auto correct
I’m confused by the fact that Colorado State beat Arkansas but then lost to Illinois State (an FCS school) a few weeks later
So if BYU is Group of 5, is Notre Dame also? They're both independents
Kyson Channell I think a lot of people consider Notre Dame as a power 5 school because they’re in the ACC for every other sport but I could be completely wrong.
@@jolley_sports_vids7233 ND is considerd a P5 school, cause they were during the BCS era an automatic qualifier, if the were ranked in the Top eight.
BYU is in the mountain west
@@jaytheman3 they're independents in football and are in the West Coast Conference for all other sports.
When Boise State or UCF does it half the time it isn’t an upset when they win

Are we not going to talk about how someone from BYU's last name is Canada
Why does USF use the Boston Bruins horn?
I don’t think BYU is a P5 or G5 since they’re an independent
BYU is P5
Isn't BYU power 5?
They are now
