Here is a probably bonkers idea but for the mask issue, she carries elephant with her almost everywhere so maybe find/make a mask for elephant to keep him safe as well. Can show to her she cares for her elephant as important person for her also. Something to mull over anyways .. had the idea this evening and no harm putting it out there.

Thinking about how I am now and how I've been told I was as a baby/toddler I would have been the worst with facemasks. I tolerate them (always!) but I have huge sensory issues that can cause me to rip it off my face if triggered.
