The dual mounted AMRAAM launchers are called “Monster Racks” by us Navy pilots. The outward cant on the weapons pylons are for adequate weapons separation during release. Great review by the way.
Thank you for your service! And thank you very much for your comment, that name sounds cool (and very fitting!). I figured the weapon cant was for preventing recontact during deployment, looks like I guessed correctly since I wasn't really sure
Very good review and thank you because this video supports 1440p so I can see the details clearly. I'm very unfamiliar with diecast airplanes so I did a lot of research on which brand is the best. I actually like JC Wings because the details are very good, it's just that their products have a lot of quality control problems...
Thanks for your comment! Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY the JC wings version of this model. As I'm typing this, I am editing a review on that model and it's much worse than this one. Hobby Master in general is much better.
I ordered the JC Wings version of this aircraft over 1 year ago and still waiting. I’m assuming they are having problems with copyright issues. I think I’ll have to pick this one up.
I have no clue what their issue is. It's been delayed for over a year now. I know they have them finished since I've seen pictures of it online but they aren't going to retailers. I'd go with the hobby master version instead, it's more realistic, accurate, and customizable than the JC wings version.
Those are ECS exhaust vents. They vent out exhaust from the environmental control system. The countermeasure dispensers on the F/A-18 super hornet are located on the bottom of the aircraft.
Well nothing's stopping you, so go for it! I bought the F variant from hobby master as well and it does include the decals so I was able to put them on both models.
@@rpgiv3175 I actually did. Just waiting for it to arrive by mail. Gonna be doing it after our helo GB. Die cast is becoming very boring. It lacks skill being a "hobby". Have fun and all the best to your channel!
@@juanvrunovillanueva8536Not everyone likes and understands model kits, especially me who has tremors so it is difficult to assemble model kits with paint. I usually assemble model kits without paint. This Hobby Master is very helpful for people who want to collect planes instantly. Moreover, their selling point is in the diecast metal which makes the plane rigid and sturdy in the years to come.

I just got this one this week too! Love HobbyMaster

Super incredible f 18
Nice
I am looking forward for this model but the one with the pizza box in front of the windshield.
@@luriakhsimahk4506 That one is bureau number 165667! It's going to be a while before HM releases it though

Such a waste. Would rather get a hasegawa, print the decals and build it a lot better.

My version of this plane came with the call sign decal sheet
I've noticed that some models include it while others don't. I guess I just got unlucky
