It’s always interesting to hear the more puritanical Catholic thinkers blame America for all the evils hurled at the Catholic Church...And yet, us Catholics where more people than willing to greedily grasp at the material benefits of being an American, whether it’s corn and wheat donated to Catholic Ireland in the 1850s, the American destruction of the Barbary slavers, or the mere fact of existing when Catholics where driven from their European homes by despots and famine. Gratitude is out of the question. Instead, we hold America against the idealized standard of perfection applied to no other country on earth.
Stop with all your false history. Just take care of your tiny little church. Don't disturb us. Any Catholics who have gone astray, please welcome them and live well. We are still the largest Church in the world. Some may be leaving but many are coming in also. We are proud to be Catholic. May your god bless you my dear bro.
