Lane Stanley was a person who left his gift to us by his genuine love of vocals glad he did , heart and Soul is encapsulated in that song. You put your heart in it with your personal sound you do it justice. Im Always revived when I sing to that song, it gives me the sense I'm singing with his soul

I was born in 2000 and was lucky enough to have a dad and uncle who both constantly listened to classic rock and grunge, and a grandpa who could play them. Both my uncle and grandpa have passed away. My never formally introduced me to Alice In Chains but I always remember it playing in his car when I rode with him. Rooster has always been my favorite, but now I’m 20 years old learning to play these songs myself with my grandpas guitars
I remember when I heard Rooster for the first time and especially the part where Layne sings "The bullets scream to me from somewhere" gave me the vibes I always searched for, hard to explain but it's my favourite part of the song haha. Got this feeling again after I heard the part from your cover

This girl's voice is so amazing, she doesn't add a single effect in any song not by Alice in Chains, and that's not a knock on her voice at all, but just a testament to how amazingly talented Layne Staley was. There is a reason not many bands cover AIC and it's not because they aren't fans, it is because Layne's songs and notes are incredibly hard to match and the covers typically don't turn out well.
Her voice is just as Haunting as Laynes is! Love this version of an absolute classic. Hope u never stop Alicia! Your really talented and I hope we get to hear some of your own songs one of these days?

So glad i did. this cover is different then all the other dudes that try too hard to over power the song. This girl has it going on. I dont know if itsthe background noise or the recording quality but it sounds great. the guitar could use a little polishing but even still its good video and she sounds good. im 44 been goofing of with guitar off and on for a while and i couldn't outdo her I just subscribed and i hit the like... simply because i want to see what else this girl has to offer. my suggestion is play what you like and don't change because whatever it is you got is working. i have a channel but i only made one lousy video because i feel silly and embarrased at the same time haha I would love to do some song challenges and crosscross what we have learned over the years ... anyway I have 2 teenage daughters that i bought guitars for butt they arent interested in learning so they sit and collect dust in their closets... i stick so bad i have 1 sub hah this girl has it though no doubt cheers!
