This game looks really great and I'm having a lot of fun with it right now. I have a suggestion, maybe you could make a Famicom Fighters character template so people can add their own characters to the game, that would be cool.

very good choice! he has a lot of interesting moves, loved the game too, it was very late nes game but the music and atmosphere was amazing. btw did you played The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles? i think he might be another interesting addition to your project!

okay, I don't want to be the kind of person who just comes in out of nowhere and asks for characters, but please consider:
*The Sunsoft Kusoge Team!* with Gonbe, Wynn and Lucia (Ikki, Atlantis no Nazo, Wing of Madoola)
if these three ever had a chance of a fangame ever, which they so much deserve (not really), it's this.
Like, they're an important part of history! Somehow!
I decided to go for these three because they are made by the same dev team, rather than just "Sunsoft" in general
Gonbe is the most recognizable, what with Ikki being _the_ kusoge and probably the one that would work best as playable anyways. He strikes me as short range slow kinda tanky guy, but with key underhanded tricks with a high-power projectile with the throwing kama and one or two surprise long range attacks with the spear. (Besides, he's recognizable in the King of Famicom)
Lucia would be nice but she's a swordfighter and similar to Link mostly, so probably works best as a helper using magic weapons. (Flame) Sword slashes seems obvious, though the bomb can be really interesting with it exploding vertically when detonating at the risk of the bomb itself hitting (breaking it without exploding)
Wynn's attacks are just bombs and bat poop. Or maybe falling dead from above the screen and his corpse hitting the opponent.
I would prefer Lucia to be the playable one.
Can you actually counter Simon’s whip with Thonolan and throw him?

Do you have planned to make Master Higgins a as playable char? (Besides of Kid Nikki)
Master Higgins will be in later on! (There was a poll on MUGEN Guild way back to see if Bomberman or Master Higgins should get in first. Bomberman ended up winning the poll.)
How many char are you going to add at all
For the first beta, there's only one more character I haven't revealed that's left, making it a total of 12 characters at the end of beta 1. However, there will be more characters afterwards.
