What a band !!! Never a disappointment with CCR. Pure Rock. "Proud Mary", " Susie Q", or " Travelin' Band ". So many gems. Thanks Harri. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
CCR could not put out a bad song. Fantastic!!! John Fogerty had that unique voice and the music all fit together nicely. No wonder their songs have stood the test of time (many more years to come I'm sure). Thanks Dean Jarva for the pick and Harri...great reaction and breaking it down. 😉😉😉👍👍👍
Harri is right: the song has to be one of the simplest musically that they ever recorded, basically just two chords carried over that pulsing rhythm. It was B-side of "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" and came out in January 1971. After that song started dropping in the charts, DJ's turned the record over and started playing the flip side. It peaked on March 6, 1971, at #8. I loved it then when I was 13 and I love it now when I'm 65.
Not one of their best songs , I knew it was a B side but could not remember the A side , Have You Ever Seen The Rain ? is one of their best . Thanks for reminding me .
I also want to tell you two things here. John Fogerty is the lead singer... He went on to have a solo career. You may want to check into his music it's really wonderful. On a different note something I haven't mentioned to you. This has just nothing to do with anything having do with music here. I absolutely love the timbre of your voice and the games of your speech pattern. I'm someone who is part of the deaf and HOH community. So I'm partially deaf, can do a little lip reading. I don't do it according to the standardized ways to learn. I am act a self taught lip reader. I'm currently teaching myself how to learn ASL. I'm a former singer for when I was younger in my life. I sustained air damage in my twenties due to violent assaults. So I actually was not BORN into the community. I was MADE partially deaf later on in life. As it stands now, I sat on the other day and I was thinking about this and I was like WOW! I suddenly realize that I've actually been partially deaf LONGER than I've been a fully hearing person. I also realized that during all this time I've been able to pay attention a little bit more to how certain things sound TO ME if that makes sense. As someone who used to sing I pick up on things differently from what I can still hear. So I just want to let you know that I really do like your voice and I hope this doesn't sound strange to you... Or creepy. Or well you know like I'm going to be standing outside of your window at 3 in the morning like a weirdo. "Stalker" is such an ugly word, I'm kidding ok? LOL! Leaving my brother I say this with all the love and appreciation for what you do from my heart to you. You know that I'm very straight up with you and if I don't like what you're doing I'm like hey man what the hell? You also know that if I really like what you doing I'm like oh that's great man! So please just seriously check out John Fogerty's work I know that he won't disappoint you. His discography is actually very huge. Honestly you should just look it all his songs. THEN just take your finger and pick anything BLINDLY and trust me you will be happy. #NYGenXBIKERLady
Love CCR & John Fogerty’s solo career ( still singing!) I think I have all the records except his recent album. ‘I put a spell on you’, ‘ born on the bayou’, ‘ Susie Q’ are a few of my favorite & the rabbit hole is deeep😄🎶☮️💜😻
A John Fogerty song you might like is 110 in the Shade. He sings it with the Fairfield Four an awesome acapella group. It's a song I really enjoy but seldom hear.
Suggesting Nina Simone "You Don't Know What Love Is" " Sinnerman" "Wild Is The Wind " and all cover songs of Bob Dylan by Nina Simone ...really think you would enjoy those songs

Someday never comes, up around the bend

Yes. Not only John but the harmonies work so well.
@@PapaFixit Absolutely solid. 👍
@@PapaFixitMost songs except 2 or 3 are all John Fogerty doing the harmonies!👍
Maybe the "gonna get religion" reference is like "Oh My God, Oh My God" !

My favorite song by them. The song makes you smile.
I saw John Fogerty in 2011. He was just as great as he ever was.
"Born on the Bayou" is a banger....try it!!!
Another great song from a great band
This is one of my favorite by them
I always felt like it was one of their if not their most underrated song. It's quite unique, and as always John Fogerty's voice is outstanding.
Love some CCR one of the realist bands to ever do it.
HIGH Harri.... Bob Dylan, "It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding" is a song you do not want your life to end without hearing this Master Piece.
Yet another CCR classic banger! Never tire of being reminded, thanks again, Harri, cheers, ttyl8r!
