  • What makes Ragley's latest Marley 2.0 hardcore hardtail mountain bike so much fun for the money? Here's the tech talk round to go with the 'how rad can you get for a grand' Live Ride Review, so make sure you watch that if you haven't already.
    Thanks to Ragley for sponsoring this one, but as usual it's a fully honest run down of all the pros and cons of the bike based on nearly 25 years of professional testing. Thanks to Crud Fenders, Crank Borthers, Lazer, Gore, Camelbak, Endura, Fizik, Spect and Leatt for the kit use while riding.
    Any questions just get busy in the comments.
    Cheers

      Unfortunatelly there are already some negative reviews on them getting loose and then left arm getting ruined. Not a bad idea to thread lock them, before first ride and leaving the blue glue to set dry for 24h, while you tape the frame make adjustments, mount accesories, do some fitting and drool a bit on a new ride etc. ;-p

      @@superspecky4eyes what made u change? I need something that can be an "all arounder"130mm fork, 27.5, I really love these bikes it was between that and a chromag rootdown. I liked the voodoo bizanga but that's a 29ner. I just want a trail bike that can still get it on the ups. I live in Michigan in the U.S. not but big stuff unless u go north or a bike park. I usually ride my 2019 scott genius fs, than I got a scott speedster gravel bike,and I feel I learned so much from riding the gravel bike. It's crazy. Now I just wanna build a ht again. Prolly ohlins up front. All nice components like my other 2. I think the mmmbop is too raked out for what I'm looking for.

      @@johnsonjay60 Got inpatient waiting for frames to come into stock (Was during the first great bike shortage of 2020 😊) The Mmmbop came into stock first. I was a bit worried the geo would be too extreme for my riding (mainly mid tier to above average trails) but it pedals really well. It doesn't feel massively long and slack. Not too harsh a ride for a HT either, not like some I've ridden.

    Looking for this frame last yer, looks like just perfect! Now im on vitus sentier, and this one looks right close great geometry, but stronger (especialy love how seat stays going over top tube - looks robust).
    But I can't understand, what are this dropouts for? Why do we need three bolt mount rather than solid alluminium construction?

    • @GuyKesTV
      @GuyKesTV  4 года назад +2

      ThugZer0 I’ll ask the guys at Marley but I guess it’s so you can replace them if they get damaged.

      @AntiDEDok 4 года назад +1

      @@GuyKesTV thank you! I'm sure these guys know what to do, I'm just curious. I completely understand right threded one because of us could striping it. But left dropout to me, simple user not an engineer, looks like overcomplicating and, more important, less troubleproof than solid one.

    I'm on the hunt for a hardtail MTB and I'm really struggling to decide on one. How does this bike compare to the On One Big Dog?

    • @GuyKesTV
      @GuyKesTV  4 года назад +1

      Hi James, the Big Dog is a steel 29er so heavier and a bit softer riding. Closest On One bike is the Scandal but that's a 29er so again a bit easier rolling but not as twist and slide agile as the Marley. The Ragley has better tyres but if you can stretch to £1200 for the Scandal GX you get a better Rock Shox 35 fork. The best deal of all three right now though is the Big Dog Summer Special as you get a 35 fork and a dropper post for £1200 👍🏻

    Hi great early review nice 1 😎,can i ask please which would you choose between the ribble ht 725 enthusiast built,ragley piglet 2020, vitus sentier 27 vrx 2020,sonder transmitter carbon nx or sonder transmitter gx edition thanks or anything else better for around 1500 😬 wait there is also the Orbea Laufey H-LTD 29" Mountain Bike 2020 😅

    • @GuyKesTV
      @GuyKesTV  4 года назад +1

      Haha, so many good bikes around now and I've not ridden all of them. TBH 725 bikes always seem a bit dead when I've ridden them and the Sonder carbon transmitter is very light but very rigid. Love the standard Transmitter and the Ragley and Vitus Sentier is normally very good though I've not ridden the 2020. You should have Nukeproof scout and the Whyte on the list too.

    • @SSH01
      @SSH01 4 года назад

      @@GuyKesTV wow thanks for replying 🤟 well that's a shame about the 725 the frame looks pretty sick first time i have seen the cables internally routed on a steel frame but i guess it's like a cheaper steel idk but anyways i'll probs take it off the list.I have had a look at the nukeproof before but was a bit miffed it had sx as from what I've read from comments people are saying it's not good i thought maybe they should at least have nx there for 1500 ☹.The whyte looks awesome and should be on my list.Could i maybe ask another question sorry you know the the piglet 2020 it has cromo 4130 is this ok or not really ? So basically i was really maybe going to try a steel hardtail so like only the piglet and ribble is steel and the rest is alu i think but i might just chose the sonder nx revelation cheaper option to the rest i suppose but that's great because have not got a lot of money 😅
