I had my daughter right before turning 40. Im now 43 and pregnant again. I'd suffered multiple miscarriages and 2 stillbirths at near full term prior to my daughters birth. So don't give up ladies. You never know what life has in store for you.

      Congratulations on your pregnancy.
      Also may I ask you
You have never had a miscarriage in your 40s? I got pregnant for the first time naturally a few weeks before I turned 42.
But sadly I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and 6 days 💔 😢 And I was told it was likely because of my age. Which makes me feel worse. I pray God bless me with a healthy pregnancy and baby . It's been four months since this happened. And I still haven't fallen pregnant again.

@@talltalllady Nope all when I was younger. It's strange honestly. You think it would be the opposite. My grandmother had my uncle at 45. I had my 5th baby at 44 yrs. I fell pregnant 1st go with all of mine. When mine were born I was 26, 28, 38, 39 & 44 and all beautiful and healthy at every stage. There's so much negative talk about after 35 having a baby & omg its still young! After 35 that's when most women want to get started as they've lived their life a bit and got a career under their belt. It's still so young! You can still concieve naturally too.. our bodies are built to have babies up until 55 (there abouts).. I think just do what fits your lifestyle & when you feel ready weather that's earlier or later on, for a family. I think if you know your goint to try for a baby,, eat right and take the pregnancy vitamins, 3 months before hand so your body is prepared with the right nutrients.

This is one of the most positive videos I have seen about women having a baby at a older age. I had my son at 39. He is totally healthy. The hospital I went to when I was having him was also positive, which made it easier. We recently moved to another state and now I'm pregnant with our last baby at 41. This new hospital in the new state almost makes my husband and I feel like we should be ashamed of being older parents. I have no complications so far and I am due in 9 weeks. I pray all older parents have a positive experience.

I’m exactly the same!. I was 42 last weekend and we got engaged three weeks ago. Although I’ve always said I’d prefer to get married before I have children, I feel myself that my priority right now is having at least one child. Ultimately I would like two!. The only reason I have not yet had children is I had never before about three years ago met a man worth having babies with, and I refuse to be one of these women with no standards/self respect who gets pregnant within a few weeks or months to any random boyfriend!. I hope to have my own/our own…by that I mean 100% ours biologically…I don’t want egg donors. Each to their own and I know others do this, which is fine, but I feel like if we did that, he may as well just go have a baby with another woman!. Anyhow, as far as I’m aware I’m able to have my own, I’m healthy, I don’t smoke, don’t drink alcohol, don’t do drugs, eat a healthy balanced diet and take vitamins, folic acid etc. I’m regular each month and have never had any issues with periods etc… so I’m hoping this is all in my favour!. Wishing you lots of luck on your journey and hope we both receive good news soon.xx :)

Once they hit 40, they need to give up. Same with men. If I'm childless by the time I'm 40 and there aren't any kids on the way and my wife is roughly my age, I won't be a father.
The kids won't be able to do everything they want if their parents are over 40 when they're born and they have to take care of the parents once adulthood begins. And let's hope they aren't forced to say goodbye to either parent before they hit 30.

My aunt was adopted from birth and I cannot imagine her or my cousin s not being a part of my life. This was back in 1957 my grandparents were way ahead of their times. They adopted her from my grandfather’s niece the bio mom and her two other children lived with my grandparents before my aunts birth, off topic I know, but it’s a beautiful option. I’m going to be 47 next I’m still having my regular monthy menses, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you can still get pregnant at 55 I would be absolutely shocked if she is still regularly menstruating and with healthy eggs. Sorry. Risk of downs syndrome goes from 1 in 1250 for a 25 year mother to 1 in 100 for a 40 year old mother. Risk increases for older father too, but it never even reaches 1 in 1250. Increased risk of gestational diabetes, pre eclampsia, premature birth, low birth weight and other.medical issues.
I don't why a doctor, especially an obgyn, would tell you that there is "nothing to worry about." Saying that could be malpractice. She should know better.
Most kids are born healthy. But the odds of problems keep going up with age.
If you COULD have your kids in your 20s, why wait to your 40s? Rolling the dice doesn't sound like a good idea, even if you're more likely to be okay.
What parent who has a child with medical issues wants a doctor to say "only one kid in a thousand ever gets this. It almost never happens."?

@@nnnnn1610 Both my parents were in their early 40s when I was born. They didn't have a whole lot of energy to play with me growing up. My dad has had back and shoulder issues all my life and that limited him as far as interacting with me (always fears he'll throw one of the two out). When playing catch with my mom as a kid, I wasn't allowed to throw the baseball all that hard because it would hurt my mom's hands. The last couple of times we played catch, I had to roll the baseball to her. I always had to watch how much energy I put into my throws.
On several occasions growing up, I heard them complain and tell people that they work so hard during the week, they "barely make it to the weekend." Also, I never saw either one of them run in my life. By the time I was 9, neither one of them could bowl with me.
I'm not being immature. I'm telling it like it is. I'm sorry, not everyone will be like Tom Brady or Drew Brees at 40. Age is more than just a number and my experiences are proof.
