During The 1980's I knew a fitter who worked for a tractor dealership that sold both these and Renault tractors. When he came to give our new Renault it's first service I asked him ( After all, they're the guys to ask, the ones that have to mend them, not the chap that's trying to sell you one!) what he thought to the Marshall and he seemed to think that they were "OK" but compared with The Renaults of that era, very poorly screwed together. I think they had a lot more warranty claims with those than The Renaults.
