YES!! Another trip!! That was the best ending to a video yet!! I have always wondered about the difference between the British and US Virgin Islands so thank you for making this fun video and explaining so much more!
Philately will be very popular again, thanks to you! This is totally awesome what you are doing. Great stuff... wonderful history lessons, fantastic manner of creating movies, extraordinary sense of humour. I love that!!! By this way of doing you are able to get to the young people and this is the most important... Thank you! and keep doing... waiting for the episode about polish stamps ;)
Poland has some great stamps, I especially love: the series of famous Poles through history (with the ornate border), and the generals of 1939, the multiple bird series, and the 5 se-tenant European bison set. I would love to learn more about some of them, Graham?
That is my hope, there is so much to enjoy and learn from stamps, perhaps these types of videos will encourage others to take part in philately. Glad you like them Aaron, thanks for watching.
Enjoyed the vid....I have a nice collection of BVI, never been there but that is part of the joy of collecting....hoping and maybe one day appearing on those tropical shores or wherever we are thinking about....stamps have taken me to more countries than I have travelled and that number is getting fairly large now..... with gratitude for your efforts.
Right on man! Excellent video, history and cinematography. Can't wait to find some BVI stamps. Thanks for sparking the philatelic World with these videos. Keep it up. Armando
Loved your new history lesson. Your storytelling is becoming more and more clever, not to mention a great excuse for visiting the Virgin Islands during the winter! 😉 👍🏻
Fortunately this doesn't happen too often to me, it is a bit upsetting when a gorgeous stamp has been pen marked (sometimes in very interesting ways) it's good to know that our postal services are aware of this issue and trying to do something about it. Another great informative video, thank you Graham
Oh wow, a 'Philatelic thriller series'.... that's a fun way to market these videos, maybe we can get it nominated for an Emmy award ;P ... Lol thanks for watching!!
oooo now that is an interesting idea... And I did just get a sheet of the US Star Trek stamps... hmmm :D Thank you and I am glad that you like the video!
Lol thank you! It's not so much me becoming magical, it's more to do with my stamp collection getting more weird... now the stamps are teleporting me places.... ugh I need to find a normal hobby... ;) Glad you liked the video!
Hmm, I recommend going to the Mule Shoe post office and seeing what stamps they have available... You might have to do a few jumps before finding the right stamp to get home. LOL Thanks as always for watching.
Hi and thanks for the great new episode. One minor correction, even though technically you are not wrong. There are stamps with "Virgin Islands of the U.S." on them but they are revenue stamps, not used for actual postage. They have Scott's code of R ( revenue, documentary ), RF ( playing cards ) and RJ ( tobacco tax ). These stamps are fairly expensive and are not in most stamp albums since they are considered to be Cinderellas as you discussed in a previous episode. I collect US stamps and have none of these stamps, some are affordable but difficult to find!
Hi Joseph, yeah I saw the revenues while researching the episode. I also realized how expensive they could get...nope lol, I didn't see any affordable ones either, I hope that you will stumble across one to add to your US collection in the near future.
@@ExploringStamps For some reason my album contains nothing from several of the protectorates - Virgin Islands or Hawaii, it does have Guam, Cuba, Philippines, Canal Zone, Puerto Rico and the U.N. I only collect what's in the Harris Album so I probably won't look for the Virgin Islands. I do have world albums up to about 1950 for "stuff" I find as a fluke, so you never know! Thanks for your great series!!!
What an entertaining episode as always,I watched this episode when I was in class. (Dont worry I did my class work). I muted the audio and turned on the close captions quitely
Yes I did get some stamps while I was there, I also sent myself a postcard while I explained to the US embassy as to how I got there without a passport or any dry clothing. they didnt believe me....
I'm stuck here... No passport or plane ticket... Not complaining :) At some point I should look for another "Missing Virgin" stamp while I am here and teleport back to the studio... lol thanks for watching :D
Hi Daniel, glad you like the videos :) I buy my stamps from a variety of places. stamps.org since I am an APS member and get discount. Also eBay at times. And then a number of online dealers that I have come across through eBay and that I trust. ALSO stamp shows, I get a lot of my stamps from the occasional stamp show that I visit. Thanks for watching!

Currently I don't need V.I. stamps, but I occasionally reach out to social media (instagram/twitter) for help with upcoming topics in need of stamps/advice. I never gave these islands much thought. But they have such a rich history! I didn't know some were Danish at a certain point.
Neither did I, but again I am surprised with what I learned.
Awesome show, as usual. I jumped through a stamp, but ended up in Mule Shoe, Texas. What stamp do I jump through to get back home in Thailand?
Hmm, I recommend going to the Mule Shoe post office and seeing what stamps they have available... You might have to do a few jumps before finding the right stamp to get home. LOL Thanks as always for watching.
