Thank you for another of your many great videos. I recently purchased an MRAD chambered in 300 PRC, and several days ago purchased S&B's new 10-60x56 SFP MOA scope. I receive it this week. I really appreciate and have learned a lot watching this video as well as your other videos where you review and talk about scopes... especially the Schmidt-Bender scopes, since I am soon to own one. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching and posting. You are really going to like that scope (and rifle). We just started a new series of Extreme Reloading for the .300 PRC in my Barrett MRAD. If you reload you might like those videos also.
Loved this video and you made the use and features very easy to understand. What a beautiful scope. Many years ago I befriended a man who was unofficially attached to one of the 'letter agencies' in Vietnam and as we 'talked shop' he asked me if I'd ever heard of a Schmidt & Bender scope. I hadn't at the time but apparently he chose to carry one of their early models as S&B would have been quite a young company at the time. He spoke very highly of it. Have a wonderful weekend and it was great to see Ruby vying for your attention in the background!
That would have been a very interesting conversation. Thanks for watching Aaron and good to hear from you. Yes, Ruby likes to help me with my videos. I think she believes she is helping me.
You and your son are awesome. This scope is a beauty. I Would love to see a follow up video of a comparison of all your scopes glass quality, light gathering, and magnification ranges. I’m not sure if that is possible with a video camera but it would be very cool to see. Especially if you include some vintage scopes.
Hey, thanks for the review. How practical is this reticle at low magnification (3x to 8x) ? Is the center of the reticle still usable ? It seems really thin and mostly invisible against non bright background.
Good question and thanks for asking. The camera does not do it justice. The reticle at low power reticle has not been a problem for me...I can turn on the illuminated crosshair also.
Does the elevation turret feels too sharp? I have seen another review on this turrets and the guys was complaining about the turret design kind of feels rough on the fingers to dial. He gave a 8 out 10 Score on that. What do you think?
It does not feel sharp at all to me. It has a good texture that is easy to grip but is not sharp and has never hurt my fingers... I have been using this scope for some time now and never noticed anything like that.
@@sdkweber thank you so much for your input on it, I was thinking the same it shouldn’t be a problem I believe that design it’s very low profile without compromising functionality, Schmidt Bender rocks. You have a sweet set up there SB+Barrett 300 prc.
@@sealsrx7252 Thank you. This has quickly become one of my favorite rifle systems. If you are interested, we are starting an Extreme Reloading series on this rifle and the .300 PRC today. Episode 1 comes out in 30 minutes.
Thanks for doing this video - my Schmidt 5-20 US just came in today and I could not be more impressed. very similar to the one you reviewed here
You are going to really like that scope. Top of the line.

That is a good idea. I do indeed of some older vintage scopes to showcase also. :)
