Great Video mam! I had taken a edu. loan from SBI of 20 lacs for a 15 months course and my moratorium will end in April'21. I get charged 13000 as simple int. each month, which I pay off. I have already started a job, and can pay the emi, but my question is that should I or is it better to just keep paying the 13K each month till april'21 and then start with the emi.

I took a loan of Rs 340500 from 2011 to 2015 from PNB BANK. And due to not getting my job from 2015 to 2016 I started giving loan money in 2017. By the time I started giving loan, the loan amount reached 518500 RS. with interest From 2017 to 2020 I gave 6100 rs. And from March 2020 till now I am giving 15000 rs. I feel that the bank is taking more money than me. What is your opinion. How much interest is charged on education loan? Till now I have given 444000 rs. And still 322000 rs left. Mam is it right to give interest during education and after completing education Can I repay the whole principle in one time? At that time I will be able to do that or they will ask me to deposit interest of 7 years???
Hi Kiran! It depends on the type of loan you're taking. If you have taken a loan from a government bank, you will not have to pay interest during the moratorium period (course duration + 6 months/1 year). The interest accumulates and you can pay after the moratorium period. If you take an unsecured loan from a private bank/NBFC, you will have to make either full or partial interest payments even during the moratorium period. Paying off a loan earlier is a good decision by the students as it helps them save a chuck on interest but you cannot pay it off at once. If you are seeking help from our team with the loan process, please get in touch by requesting a callback on this link: bit.ly/education-loan

Hello Mam Thanks for such a informative session. I had a question please answer me -- I took educational loan for my 4 years undergraduate degree from vijaya bank which was a government bank the manager forced me to pay the interest in moratorium period, Somehow I paid the interest for 5 months then I didnt paid the interest. During my 4 year undergraduate degree I had leg injury which caused me a year down and took 5 years to complete my undergraduate degree. Now the Vijaya bank is merged with bank of baroda and they are asking for the repayment with hillarious interest rates and unknown charges. I have taken loan 115000/- rupees and now they are asking me to pay EMI 3050/- rupees for 108 months that means 9 years and total amount of repayment is 325000/- Please help

what is this capitalized int liability....like my loan was from 2017-2019 but took only 3 payment....and in 2020 i was charged 3 times (for each year 2017,2018,2019) increasing my loan amount by 3 lacs under "capitalize int liability". also, monthly interest is also getting charged under student loan...is it okay?
Hi Karan! The addition of unpaid interest to the main sum of your loan is known as capitalization. When interest payments are postponed during moratorium period, unpaid interest is capitalized, The principal balance of a loan rises. As a result, more interest amount may be charged during the loan's term, the monthly payment amount may increase, or additional payments may be necessary.

Hello Mam, I took an education loan from SBI in the second year of the B.tech course. I had passed out this year and will be joining a private job in October. The amount disbursed from the bank during three years is Rs. 3,21,000/-. So my question is, what is meant by the outstanding amount, which I can see on my sbionline profile? It is almost Rs. 3,84,000/- and every month's end it increases.
Hi, Pranav! This might include the interest that is being charged on the loan. Please contact the bank officials. They will break it down for you.
I have also taken loan from sbi same issue interest added to actual loan amount disbursed
Have you got the solution?? Can you please explain it?

I took a loan of Rs 340500 from 2011 to 2015 from PNB BANK.
And due to not getting my job from 2015 to 2016 I started giving loan money in 2017.
By the time I started giving loan, the loan amount reached 518500 RS. with interest
From 2017 to 2020 I gave 6100 rs.
And from March 2020 till now I am giving 15000 rs.
I feel that the bank is taking more money than me.
What is your opinion.
How much interest is charged on education loan?
Till now I have given 444000 rs. And still 322000 rs left.
Please tell me what should I do.

-- I took educational loan for my 4 years undergraduate degree from vijaya bank which was a government bank the manager forced me to pay the interest in moratorium period, Somehow I paid the interest for 5 months then I didnt paid the interest.
