    For Mike:
Watching your current video here is some things I can give insight wise. If you are picking up and the order is not ready it means there are items that have not been picked yet or exceptions (items we could not find but looking to substitute).
I used to dispense early to drivers, but the problem came up that the driver would check in or it would auto and then show waiting which for us kills our dispense time as walmart wants to keep the wait time below 5 minutes. So I had to stop that sadly even though I know if we could it would help ya'll.
On the order not being ready sadly it will happen we are at the behest of our staffing and getting things ready I've been blessed with a solid crew so normally we got drivers trying to get orders from our store (Walmart NHM). Walmart supercenters are another animal as they can have up to 100's of more orders an hour so far more associates but far more work. Weekends can be bad if we have folks not show up to work.
I agree with on how close you have a Walmart to you, for reference within 10miles we have 3 NHM's and 3 Supercenters. My suggestion is get to know the dispensers at your respective store and help them out and you'll get better ideas of how your day will be when start doing deliveries.

That is exactly why I quit Uber and Doordash! Having to wait 20 minutes just to get the order for a $7 tip.. It doesn't say you have to wait until after you accept it. It's not good business. By the time you get finished and back to a hot spot and wait another 10-20 minutes for another order. It ends up being under minimum wage not accounting for wear and tear on your vehicle.

I did $386 on Sunday in 8 and 1/2 hours. All but $20 of that was spark. I happen to have 14 active apps on my phone. But these days I mostly do grocery delivery between spark and instacart. Not only did I make that much money on sunday, but my pay per mile was a whopping $2.70 per mile. Only drove 14 miles off the clock the entire day and that was my commute home.

If it says getting ready, it doesn’t matter if you can’t start or not, sometimes it takes a long time even after the drop off time listed on the app….if gets 20 min past the pick up time, and still getting ready, you can cancel, and most of the time, Walmart will send the same order again for all drivers nearby for a extra 12 dollars, but you would be lucky to accept the order bc another driver could accept quicker than you, order will disappear in milliseconds.

My Spark complaints: they give me 5 minutes to travel to the store that’s 15 minutes away. Makes me late. If I don’t take the order because I don’t want to be hit for being late, I get hit for low acceptance rate. App will tell you order is ready but the store is understaffed so I have to wait 15-30 minutes for them to bring out the order. Constantly changing process. Sometimes I have to scan, sometimes I have to sign, sometimes I don’t do either. Verifying ID for alcohol orders is cumbersome. You have to type in the full name, birthdate and expiration date in front of the customer. Either take my word for it, or let me scan the ID. 12 order batches in my area were picked up at curbside but now I have to go into the store and wait in line at customer service for the batch. No longer worth it if I have to wait for customers to get the orders. Each store has their own process it seems. In a nutshell, pick ups suck but drop offs are easy.

On top of that, the customer wasn't grateful in the least.

Walmart Spark is not worth it. TLDR down below...
Our Walmart is 5 miles, 10 to 15 minutes away. They will make you wait 1 to 2 or more hours before you receive an order if you declined the last offer. From what I experienced long wait times can be the result for any of these reasons: declining offers, the order is not ready, they'll prioritizing other drivers over you --- this is tied to the acceptance rate, they're extremely busy for that specific day, there is a lot of drivers in the area, or the carrier cellular service in your area reception is horrible; can't do anything about that last one. And when you accepted the new offer just add another 1 hour for waiting to pick up the order because you can't check in until the Spark App allows you to start the order. Best you can do is just put the addresses in Google Maps and just park in a spot and tell one of the Walmart associates the name of the order --- although there are times the orders don't show up in their systems unless you start the delivery process in the app.
I don't like being forced to pick orders that have multiple drop off with a lot of miles that doesn't pay anything by the end of the hours it takes to complete them. *For example: $30 offer that should take only 1 hour or less to complete but in reality it takes somewhere between 2 to 3 hours to complete --- multiple drop off offer orders.* The more orders you have the more you're susceptible for anything to happen between or during drop offs. Signing, scanning, taking photos, traffic, construction work on the roads, identification for gated communities, finding parking in gated communities, locating customer apartment number and floor, customers not there for alcohol order identity etc.
    *TLDR:*
I wish I could choose which types of offers I want to receive because gas prices is continually increasing and at this point everything I make is just going straight into the tank. The time it takes to receive an offer, to picking up the order, to dropping off the order, then coming back to the Walmart store and receiving the next offer --- *it is not worth it for the amount of time it takes to get it done.* Every offer is different and not that bad but the dotcom, batch and shopping offers will be time consuming. Walmart Spark is not worth it. Unless you can find a way to work around all those issues...

Most of the orders require that you check to see if someone's home after you have already taken the time to bring the groceries. I try to stick with shopping orders, as long as they're not for 30 items or more. If you know your store, you can get it done in like a minute per item. Being able to get some exercise walking through the store is good too. Plus, you aren't sitting in your car waiting and waiting for an order to even pop up, then not being able to check in until the :45 on the hour. You also have to look at the number of items that are going to be on each order. I noticed your item count was 35 and 56 items respectively. Way too many items for you to think your order is going to be out in a timely fashion. This would have been an easy pass for me because:. 1) You were 25 minutes until you could even check in (there is NO early check in. The :45 hour is the :45 hour. 2) Way too many items. 3) Pay not that great. You're getting $18.95 guaranteed for 10.8 miles and praying you get the extra $15 in tips in 24 hours. No thanks. I timed myself yesterday from the time it took me to when I got out of the car until the time I got back in and it was 26 minutes for 30 items on a 4 mile run for a guaranteed 19 dollars and a 4 dollar tip. I'll do those all day long. I do like your videos. Thanks for what you're doing.

Hello I had a question. Do you pay all the fees at the end of the week or are they baked into your pay per order?
I looked at the service agreement and there are two statements
3.5 Fees Paid by Contractor. As payment for the DDI-affiliated Retailer making Recipient requests for Services available to Contractor, Contractor agrees to pay the DDI-affiliated Retailer a per delivery fee in the amount identified and memorialized in Schedule 3.4, which shall reflect the amount agreed upon between Contractor and the DDI-affiliated Retailer with which Contractor does business. (If different amounts are negotiated with different DDI-affiliated Retailers, each rate shall be memorialized in a separate Schedule 3.4 identifying the applicable DDI- affiliated Retailer.) This fee shall constitute payment for the DDI-affiliated Retailer making requests for Services from Recipients available and, if applicable, for collection of payment on Contractor’s behalf.
    SCHEDULE 3.4
    PAYMENT
Contractor understands and agrees to pay to DDI an administrative fee per week in the amount set forth below. In addition to the fees defined below, the parties may negotiate additional fees, however, such agreements must be in writing and signed by both parties.
$ up to 10.00 Gross Fee Per Delivery
    $ 0 - 100.00 Experiential Marketing Credit
$ 0.25 - 5.00 Per Delivery Rate Paid to Retailer
The agreement has us signing as the contractor.
    Thanks

But if you wait more than 30 minutes you can call the driver help line and they will compensate you for your time and give you the option of canceling that particular order. I haven't been doing this long, but I can make $150-$200 in 4-5 hours, and that's before incentives. I don't know if that is good or not for this type of thing, but I only need $500 a week to cover my bills and gas. And I can get that doing like 3-4 days doing four hour shifts. I had to wait 2 and a half hours for my 3rd ever order. It was insane. People were bombarding the Walmart staff and were getting their orders before me after arriving way after me. I called support and explained and canceled because I almost ran out of gas waiting, (it was 95 degrees, so yes I kept my car and ac running). As I was pulling out, another driver had overheard me on the phone and stopped me to tell me that after 30 minutes, you can cancel and still get a partial pay. According to her, she does it all the time and picks the order right back up to keep getting her partial pay for long wait time. Also, anytime you wait at least 30 minutes you are supposed to get a long wait pay of 2.50.

Last time it happened, the worker walked out right away and told me the system glitched and there are no more orders that day, same thing has happened with amazon flex grocery delivery. But most of the problem is from the computer system accepting orders they don't have the workers for, inside the store problems.

So we've been sparking for quite a while now and starting around July 1st we noticed exactly what you're showing us, there used to be able to pick up $4 a mile a little more or a little less, for us this always includes the miles there and back example leaving the store 6 miles to customer we times it by 4 and we need to make somewhere close to $24 that is now we used to make more than that. you had single or possibly two deliveries in one order. But the math you just did is not $1.61, you have to count the miles coming back. Because unlike doordash where you're going from one place to another to another unless you're doing another method, we come back to the same store generally unless something pops off 3 Mi off in another Direction that is excellent! Otherwise it's back to the same store so if it's 18.6 Mi it may not be an exact 18.6 Mi back but if the furthest point is say 10 miles you've got to add that in so that definitely Downs your pay! Sorry I came to this video not to vent but that's what I'm doing in the last 3 weeks we went from earning a substantial living, to them slowly working in these huge batch orders, and we are now making under a dollar per mile! It's not sustainable for us! Very frustrating just looking to see if it's happening in other markets if we're just being targeted through algorithms ourself Etc if anybody has any feedback for the last 4 weeks it would greatly be appreciated thank you July 1st through July 31st. Thank you
