  • It only takes two minutes to return this 1957 Ford Ranchero to its former glory - I wish it were that easy.
This one was saved from a junkyard, rather than saved from a barn. This 1957 Ford features the high performance 312 y block and three on the tree (manual).

Absolutely beautiful! Seems like the '57's,no matter what body style, are way more common than the '58's! I had a '58 2door that had a built 390 & beefed up C6. Loved that car,2 bucket seats was the only interior!❤😎👍

58s are more rare today, for sure

Yah I had the 58 short box with the wrap around window. Only 50 made from what I looked up. Gave it to my brother who needed a set of wheels and he sold it for five hundred bucks . Oops

I had a ‘57 Ford Fairlane 2 door with a 312 back in the mid ‘60s. It was purple and white (don’t know who did the paint job, but I must have been desperate for a car, LOL). I had a Ranchero (can’t remember what year) in the late ‘80s that I gave to my son.

Born and raised in a small rural town, turned 16 in '72. An idiot brought one of these into the scene and that day I tried to buy it, then telling him to call if he ever decided to sell. Couple months later he said it's for sale. He'd taken a 15 year old, 25K mile Ranchero, and sloppily cut the fender wells out with a blow torch so wider tires fit, in places above the inter-fender! Hindsight, I should of bought it-but with farming, outside job, girls, hot rodding, partying, and no body experience, a 16 year old passed.
    P.S. Ever seen a '56 Ranchero?

Rancheros first official year was 57. Did someone make a 56?

@@dissrepair A guy in my Florida County made a '56, sweet and done exactly right. He also put a Windsor stroker in it, but it'll never see a tire spun on even on grass.
I had pictures of it, phone did a pocket factory reset so unless I put them on facebook I no longer have them.
