This young lady did a really nice job on her Jeep. She saved a huge amount of weight and space using soft bags instead of buying or building wood/particle board cabinets and she has it really nicely appointed for what she is doing. Lovely girl and her pooch is the coolest. Wishing them save travels and adventures!
What my grandfather used to call Amelia Erhart luggage. This is her fourth build. The first involved more building. By now she's using experience more than plywood.
Very cool. Great job with the build. You kept everything simple. I find that so many Jeep/van life stuff gets so commercialized. This is a build that anybody can do.
I love how excited you are in this to show off your build and share the essentials and feels like you genuinely want to help others and not just do it for the clout, ego, vanity, money, etc... I really like the minimal, absolutes and nothing more and it's all realistic and not stuff you have to have technical skills or advanced equipment or tools to achieve. You so real. I love it and that's why I enjoy you and your channel! Thank you! Good info and I love your Jeep!
That’s a nice simple set up, and that’s all you need. A lot of people go out and spend a lot of money and only go camping once in a while and it’s a total waste
Great explanation! And William is just the coolest boy! His temperament and colouring is just like my old boy with whom I had the pleasure of sharing 16 and a half years.
Excellent build - there are no rules to adventuring aside from making things work for your needs. I used to love adventuring with my Pittie but he's retired now so we adventure through everyone's videos. Thanks for sharing!
Just a tip: it's a good idea to run your diesel heater once a month or so. This according to my diesel mechanic. I drive s semi. Although not the same, the diesel thing would help you. Glad i came across this channel. Brings me peace to watch this in bed after a long day. Thanks for what you do.
I've always wanted a jeep, even before I learned to drive, your video has reawakened my desire to get one, but of course I've got to remember that I have commitments, and I'm not young anymore, anyway I guess I'll have to watch RUclips videos like yours as a substitute, so please be safe and thank for sharing And William is a very exceptional companion 😊
i know this is 3 months ago... but youve gained a new subscriber ! i just bought my jeep 3 months ago and have been dying to start camping out of it and you just made it so much better
I caught you on Foresty forest’s channel and I thougjt I would stop by to hear your stories and view your travels. You truly are special person with an an amazingly humble and incredibly aproacable disposition about yourself. May God bless you with all your dreams.
I just got myself a jeep rubicon and you have inspired me. Thanks so much for this video. I also love my roll bar bags. That’s where I keep my toiletries and my clothes when im overnighting at work. They keep everything so neat and tidy. I just ordered a table for my tailgate. I’m so excited. Thanks for sharing this build. Safe travels my friend.
I watched a video of yours from 3 years ago and you mentioned then, like yiu did now "its not perfect, but its DIY" and it actually did turn out perfect. Love you channel 🤞🏾
Hello hello, just saw you on camping with Steve. Came over here to subscribe and check out your adventures. Looking forward to seeing your journey. Thanks so much for sharing your story.
I am so encouraged by this video I have been procrastinating to take the leap to just go and live life on the road, seeing you with your build really motivated me thanks for sharing wish me luck.😊
This is one of the best and most efficient builds I have seen. Everything is well thought out and looks like trial and error over the years really paid off!! I have been watching and wanted to do a 4x4 sprinter of some sort but this seems so much more practical and the off road capability and stealthiness are 100x’s better. Amazing job on the video, thanks for sharing!! Cheers.
I got my first duck about two months ago and I had no idea what it meant…I’ve had a jeep for over 10 years and I was still oblivious… Lol. Anyway hearing you ask to get a duck for your jeep inspired me to go out on Amazon and buy a big box of ducks so I can return the favor to fellow Jeep Wrangler owners. Good luck on your travels and hopefully, one of these days, when I finish my travel van and I’m driving around in the western part of the country, I’ll get to meet inspiring and amazing people like yourself on the road.
This video just gave me my next obsession. I just got my jeep last weekend and I've been trying to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with it and this definitely just gave me some ideas. I can't wait to just go get lost!
Hey Loui, I think you've done a nice job with the build!!! I love using my diesel heater, and if you plan to start using yours soon, you may wish to consider moving up to a bit larger sized lithium rechargeable solar battery. The diesel heater will consume more electricity than you are currently using without it. If your electricity runs out, while the diesel heater is running, the fan will stop and the motherboard will melt from the heat in the combustion chamber. Also, I set it up to run on the Hz setting, not thermostat. I run it on low, and it gives off more than enough warmth. If you use it on thermostat, the heater will cycle on and off, and the energy used to fire-up the glow plug will consume a ton more energy than if you let it run on low over night. Cheers
You have a very nice way of organizing the essentials abd clearly like most of us that have been on the road for a long time you don't carry much extra...
@@AdventureTimeLoui Its rechargeable. Yes check it out you will like it. So far the only portable bender that holds 18oz. All the other ones are 12-14oz
Keep those bolts TIGHT! use Threadlocking compound! Permatex or Loctite Brand (use blue color....its semi permanent and doesn't require a heat gun to remove)
I love the simplicity of your build - a kindred spirit. I’m about a year into a similar setup for my Bronco. Since I’m not full time on the road, I haven’t done a rear seat delete. And, at 6’-3” tall I had to get creative on the sleeping deck. I may do a similar video on my setup soon. Thanks
I gotta say loui I’m loving your growth. Truly proud of you and I haven’t been able to yet but one day hopefully I’ll get the chance to camp out with you
@@AdventureTimeLoui Hello Ms Loui.. do you have a video regarding the reliability of your rig... Engine transmission.. suspension... Jeeps are roomy compared to other off-road vehicles.. so far it's my choice for a new rig.. Thank you
Good job little sister. I’m so impressed with your personal innovations which makes your tiny home uniquely yours. Being a van DOY builder I really can appreciate the creativity, effort and wisdom of the build journey. 🎉 Yay for you!! And William. ❤
I was fascinated by your solar setup. I was hoping for that equipment list in particular. I was not able to find it in your Amazon list. I've been looking for an efficient setup like that with the battery that you don't have to vent. That really looks like the best I have seen if you could link an equipment list. If it wouldn't be too much trouble. Thank you so much you're sharing all this with us. The other amazon stuff on the list are absolute great finds also
Very impressive and logical that shows you have experienced other setups before. Now you have paired down to what you need. I just had this video pop-up on my utube feed, which after watching it you got another subscriber. Wishing you the very best, as a long time outdoors enthusiast.
Great build! Looks well engineered to add efficiency and convenience. I love seeing William! If those tailgate table bolts keep loosening, consider picking up some blue locktight from an auto parts or hardware store.
If you find yourself near Denver, Colorado I have a small shop space and the appropriate tools, as well as a second bedroom my kids aren’t using due to their school programs. William is welcome as well. I’m working on a similar build for my partner and myself, getting ready for retirement.
Nice job on the build and the narrating. It really shows your love for the outdoors and adventure something i always dream about. Overlanding is so cool and exciting i think everyone should do it. I love the simplicity of Overlanding and the joy that comes with it. Totally jealous only in the way that i wish i could do it full time too but totally excited for others that they can fulfill their dreams and live their life now the way they want too. I would suggest a locker for sure if your planning on going the distance on those minimum maintenance roads. A winch is awesome alone by itself but if you plan on going where there's rocks you better plan on a locker but otherwise 4 wheel drive and a winch will get you most places but i still would recommend a locker for the extra security. I like the ARB from Australia because they are a trusted reliable brand that backs up their product plus you get an air compressor to boot for airing down tires. Australian Overlanding companies are legit and they've been doing the exploring and Overlanding stuff alot longer than anyone else so im sure you can trust them but ultimately its up to you want you want. Like i always say do the research diligently and you'll have your answer on what works best for you. Have a great day and enjoy your life of adventures. 😊
EWE FOREHEAD KISS!!! COOTIES!!! Love the tour. I'm an older geezer (62ish) planning some sort of escape in the next few years. Taking care of my mom for now but maybe someday I will see you on the road. Subscribed!
Glad to see you're looking after yourself Loui! It's so important! Loving the Jeep! That thing will conquer far more terrain than you think! You have some great add ons and gear, that Jeep will take you just about anywhere! Good to see you again! :)

Yup, soft bags, even pillow cases are the way to go for moldable storage containers in a small nomad rig.
What my grandfather used to call Amelia Erhart luggage. This is her fourth build. The first involved more building. By now she's using experience more than plywood.
Congratulations, great build.
People are so creative with their jeeps. I just like to go fishing in mine

@0:34 You can buy this little tube of "loctite" blue removable, NOT THE RED!. Put alittle on the bolt it will stay in.
william overshadowing the build. he is so adorable
One minute in and I’m already in love with the shelf and water hose. Definitely giving us some great ideas.

Brilliant, great use of space and storage bags. Everything in its place.
