I am a Seahawks and Lynch fan. I believe he should be a member of the HOF. Unfortunately, there are voters who will not like him like most of us do. One note you should have mentioned that Seahawks brought him back late in the 2019 season. Seattle had lost their top 3 backs in just two weeks. Lynch had not played at all that season but answered the bell when called. He scored a touchdown in all 4 games he played, including the playoff loss to Dallas. That game was almost as frustrating as losing in the Super Bowl "ALMOST" The thing i was most impressed by in the 4 games he played, was how he mentored all the young dudes on the team. He told them the truth about the NFL and to make sure they counted their chickens. This was his way of saying, "Take care of your money because you will never get paid like this again. People would not believe, but it is true, Marshawn saved every penny he made in the league and lived off the money he made doing ads and live promotions. Anybody who is a Seahawks fan loves Marshawn, and i bet Raiders fans do as well. In closing, what a tough player and good man

Everybody says "Why didn't they give the ball to Marshawn?" in SB XLIX. The thing is, they did. On the play before the interception, Marshawn got the ball from the 5 yard line. He got taken town by Hightower, who was playing injured. Where the Seahawks really hosed themselves was wasting so much time between plays, so they didn't have time to run it 3 times from the one yard line.

@terrenceolivido741 Not sure I am following your "fix" comment? Yes, you are correct, at that level they should be able to know all coaching fundamentals for sure, but every coach has their strengths and weaknesses...clock mngmnt was not one of Pete's strengths imo. And that is from a guy who has litterly watched every Hawks game since he was hired by the Seahawks.

As a Seahawk fan from inception I’ve enjoyed the prior backs we’ve had that were good and some considered great. I don’t get emotional about watching any tributes about football players even the great Steve Largent. Marshawn however has the gut punch impact about his passion and humility. Dude truly made “BEAST” in Beast Mode. I wish we would have given him the ball until he scored that touchdown. Alas not meant to be.

Second and goal on the one yard line, with 26 seconds remaining and one time out.
If they hand the ball to Lynch and he doesn't get into the end zone, they use their time out with perhaps 20 seconds remaining. If they hand the ball to Lynch again and he doesn't score, it's fourth and goal with maybe 14 seconds and no time outs. They might not get their fourth down play.
So, how do they ensure they will get to use their remaining three downs? Pass the ball on second down. A pass to the corner where only the receiver can get it will result in either a score or an incomplete pass, which will stop the clock. Then they can give Lynch the ball on third and fourth downs with no concern for the clock. Imagine the second guessing that would be going on now, if Lynch had run the ball twice without scoring, and the clock had run out.
The mistake the Seahawks made was in passing the ball to the middle of the end zone. There was too much traffic and too much that could go wrong.

We were never the same again after that HORRENDOUS CALL made by Pete Caroll & Co. I am a #12. Watching that happen is not easily described. Everyone was passing the buck around every time this question was asked, "Whose decision was it? Who made them make that call?".... one of the Hawks coaches was fired. Can't remember his name..Beazley or Oh crap I don't know . He was just the fall guy. Pete Caroll made that decision and he was never looked at the same way again. Please don't get me wrong. I ADORED Pete as our coach. He brought the Hawks into the light. He created/drafted such amazing talent. He could see things in guys that most missed. Russel Wilson was one of those guys. Everyone passed him by because of his height. 😮 a great thing for us. ..and him. The Legion of Boom was a group of guys that were far from the top 10 draft picks but Pete could use his crystal 🔮 ball and he put together a freakishly great team. And then came Beastmode. We were raped and pillaged in the 2006 Superbowl against the Steelers... or as we refer to them "The STEALERS". Fast forward...Allowing Marshawn to make that 1 yard run and give us our 2nd Superbowl win... just didn't sit well with the men in suits. "Nobody wants a thug to be the hero"... Those words were overheard and repeated and reported by some VERY reliable sources. I believe it and so do most of us who bleed blue and green. However... Let's focus on the POSITIVE 🤗 We have a whole new team of young and hungry and very VERY talented young men. We have a new and VERY AWESOME Coach Mike McDonald and he brought on board former Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and special teams coordinator Jay Harbaugh (whose dad is Jim Harbaugh! Football is in their genes) Oh oh😂I am SOOOOOOO EXCITED! We kept Geno but now we have Sam Howell!! Russel Wilson leaving us was one of the gift tba kept on giving! Now he's moving on ( and he gets to keep his $39 million bucks from the Broncos🤭....let's ride 😂🤣)
    🎶 It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life..... and I feelin' good!!🎶.. GO 2024-25 Seattle Seahawks 💙💚💙💚 It's gonna be a GRRRRREAT SEASON

statistically the play call wasnt bad, but if you got beastmode on the 1 yard line why the hell would you throw it?

I'm sorry but for some reason you missed his final Games as a NFL Football Player. When the whole Seahawk backfield was decorated with injury's but were still in play off contention .Lynch Said Hold my beer and suited up one las time "Lynch retired a second time until he reunited with the Seahawks in 2019 for their last regular season game and playoff run." This put Marshawn as one of the gre3ateest Seahawks oif all time.

You can thank Russell Wilson for taking a SB MVP award away from him.

I was honestly still so high on the Seahawks winning in 2013 that I wasn't really upset about 2014 but NO ONE would have stopped Lynch on the 1 to win the SB, especially not NE who was being gashed in the 2nd half. In fact, NE would have never had a chance to get back in the game if they would have ran it more in the 4th quarter. The secondary was hurting and on the 3rd and 4th string with injuries. The Hawks should have been ahead and not needing the score at the 1

I remember in 2012, seeing Lynch face the Niners and ran towards their safety and trucking him rather than go out of bounds. I said right there, "this is absolutely my favorite Seahawk"

Stopped watching at the "The worst play blah blah blah bullshit" this is a tired, un-thoughtful narrative. If handing off the ball is obviously the best play, then not doing that is a less predicable play and therefore a good play. The Patriots were clearly ready for the less predicable play, which further reinforces the idea that it is a good play to choose otherwise they would not have defended against it. Using hindsight as a metric to measure whether a decision is good or not undermines any logical process that could be used to generate a decision.
