Actually the shots of Manhattan do have to do with the Five Sacred Rhythms. The locations & settings for Gabrielle's workshops when she was alive were in Manhattan. You obviously haven't ever met Gabrielle. Manhattan is the Rhythm of Chaos.
Actually, they were founded at Esalen Institute, hence the name "waves". Depending how long you danced with Gabrielle, you may /may not have had the opportunity to work with her there. Manhattan was where her and Richard moved later.
